Eternally Bound: Chapter 52: Food And Friends

Eternally Bound: Chapter 52: Food And Friends

Eva

Sam and l are in our element in our kitchen. He gives me a warm grin, “I think we should go all out.  Those of you eating for multiples should have all you desire.”

I press my body to his. “All I desire you say…”

He chuckles before he takes my face in his hands. “Yes, all.” He presses his forehead to mine, eyes serious, “I know that I have to share you with the others, but what we have is different.” I look at him and smile urging him to continue. “It is different because the others are helping to resurrect lost Beings in your womb while we are resurrecting Guinevere who isn't a Being like the others. We are giving her a second life and one that will last an eternity.”

“And Morgan her mate,” I reply.

“Yes,” he nods. I am amazed by how thoughtful and compassionate he is.

“I love you, you know that,” I say softly kissing him.

Sam pulls back. “I do and I am grateful for that…”

However, we are interrupted. “What the fuck, Katie!” Vincent yells.

Sam shrugs and chuckles. “Well, almost every day.”

“Katie, remove his tail! Just one normal day people is all I ask,” Eric grumbles as he runs his hand over his face.

Sam and I both start laughing. “Maybe for Christmas, we should give Eric normal,” I suggest.

Sam laughs harder. “That happening has less of an ice cube's chance in hell.”

Bael appears beside me. “Those odds are very low, you know.”

Sam growls. “Stop popping up like that.”

Bael taunts, “Make me.”

Sam looks at me briefly. I wink. Sam raises his hand. “What the fuck! Put me down and put my hair back to black,” Bael cries. I laughed so hard that Sam had to keep me from falling. “Eva!” he warns.

“Stop being an ass.”

My father steps into the room. “Daughter, that's like telling him not to breathe.”

“Then I will have to use other alternatives,” I wink.

My father laughed. “Boys, this batch might be the only grandkids I get.”

Vlad takes my hand and pulls me over to him. “Not happening,” he replies to my father as he looks into my eyes. He pulls me into a kiss.

“Um, that was nice but why?” I ask.

“Do you remember what we talked about before Venus and Levi were summoned?” he inquires. I modded because I do. He had doubts similar to mine. I felt so close and connected with him in our moment of vulnerability. “I will still likely fail, but I want to try again after these are born.” I blink at him as I process it. Sam is the only one who had mentioned wanting multiple children. Vlad senses my uncertainty. “No.” He strokes my hair. “I am not going to miss out because of fear or being a jackass like my brother.”

Vincent yells, “Fuck you!”

Vlad chuckles. “See.”

I smile. “Maybe, but I love that jackass too.”

Vincent yells, “Eva!” I love making these men as flustered as they make me.

Eric laughs. “Katie, have fun.”

Vincent yells, “No!” As he takes off running through the house.

Brandon looked around as he came into my now crowded kitchen. “Now I understand you all far more.”

“You had better because you are living here now,” I replied with a smile.

“Am I?” he asks teasingly.

“Yes.  Now go be useful and set the table,” I instruct.

Sam laughs. “Welcome to the family.” Brandon throws his hands up and goes to the dining room. Sam and I go back to making dinner as the others go back into the living room. I do wonder why my mates are getting so serious about having more children all of a sudden.

“Are we out of broth?” I ask Sam.

“Check for the canned stuff. With everything going on I forgot to go restock everything,” Sam admits.

“Well, I forgot too,” I reply because it is just as much my responsibility as it is theirs. I use my magic to bring a few cans down. I am making some Cajun dishes because for some reason I am craving spice. Once my roux is ready, I pop open a can. “What the…!”

Sam falls against the counter laughing. “Oh, this is funny!”

Morgan and Agie are both rubbing up against me purring. “Morgan!” I yell. Nothing seems to be reaching them.

Sam suggests, “Let them sniff the can.”

“Are you sure?” I ask.

Sam shrugs. “Not really. I am not a cat person.”

I giggle as I place a newly opened can in front of Morgan and Agie. They sniff it but scrunch up their noses. Soon they regain themselves. “That feline impulse was so strong,” Morgan says as she shakes her head.

Agnes nods, “Tell me about it.”

“Are you guys going to be okay?” I ask. I look at them contemplatively. “What happens if it is triggered when you are supposed to be a white witch and Cass?”

Morgan sighs. “I don't know.” And that's what I am afraid of. I can't lose anyone. I care about everyone in this house and next door.
