**Eva**
After we all got a nap and cleaned up, we ported back home. Morgan was the first to greet us. “Good, you made it,” she says.
Agnes suggests, “You might want to look outside.”
Vlad grumbles, “My castle had better still be there.”
Morgan grins, “Oh, it is.” Katie starts laughing. We all rushed to the window.
Vlad screams, “What the actual fuck! Eva! Fix this!”
“Ummm,” I have no clue how his castle is now pink and so is Vincent's but Vincent's has sparkles too.
Vincent growls, “This isn't fucking funny.”
Sam laughs. “Cats would make it even better.”
Vincent spats, “Fucking wolves.”
Sam taunts, “Why doesn't Vincent the God fix it?”
Eric sighs, “Guys. It is no one's fault.”
Bael runs his hand through his hair. “Just how did we fucking our mate and future wife do this?”
Vlad glares at him. “We told you already.”
“That's how the children happened and the lost returned. But why the homes?” Bael asks.
Elena rushes in from outside. “Sis, I am....why is the outside pink and sparkling?”
“Are you pregnant?” I ask.
Elena nods, “Yes.”
We turn to Katie. “Ummm,” Katie mumbles.
Aurora says, “Morgan and Agnes come here.” They went over to her and put their hands on her belly.
Morgan commands, “Cassius, come here.” He hesitates, so Morgan grabs him. They hold his hand on Kaite's belly.
Cassius gasps, “Pups.”
Katie’s eyes widened in shock. “As in more than one?”
He pulls her into a kiss. He pulls back and looks into her eyes. “Yes.”
I laugh and look at Vlad and Vincent. “Now you know why all of the pink.”
“Not so fast, my goddess,” Morgan says.
“Oh, no. There aren't any more in there! No creatures came back.” And I instantly regretted saying that. Just as those words left my lips, a flash of lightning and three figures appeared; Pakhet, the lioness hunter goddess of ancient Egypt, a griffin, and a sphinx.
“Umm,” I chew on my lip as I struggle to figure out why three.
Brandon gasps, “Three. I thought you guys only brought back two.”
Amira nods, “They did.”
Brandon asks, “Then how?”
There was an influx of black smoke. Mormo replies, “Because you aren't even part human.”
Brandon jumps back. “Fuck! Why do you guys keep doing that?”
Bael chuckles, “Because it is fun.”
I smack Bael. “Asshole.”
Gabriel laughs. “You are so much like my sister.”
Pakhet smiles. “He meant fearless and bold.”
“No offense, but how did I resurrect a goddess?”
She walks over to Brandon, and the griffin and sphynx join her. They circle him. “He is a descendant of Atum,” she replies. I blink rapidly. “Breathe, my goddess.”
Brandon asks, “Can someone tell me who Atum is? And then explain how...l can be a father when measures were taken long ago to prevent that.”
Morgan laughs but towards the end, a purr slips out. “Atum emerged from the primordial waters of Nun. It was referred to as chaos waters. He created himself and then Shu and Tefnut Atum is referred to as "the accomplished one" or "completion.” Eva, Brandon was your last mate. You are now complete. Shu is air and Tefnut is moisture. That's why there was lightning when the lost returned just now.”
Pakhet adds, “Also there are three of us because three of you are pregnant. You each will bear three girls.” She walks over to Brandon. “You shouldn't question why you were gifted three girls. Instead, you should be worshiping your mate for making it possible.”
Brandon asks, “But how?”
She looks at Vincent. “He is how. His blood healed you just as it lifted the shroud around you. You, Brandon, are a true hunter god. Your soul has been deprived of its rightful place for lifetimes.”
I have tears in my eyes that I am trying to hide. Brandon's doubt hurt. I shouldn't allow it, but it hurts. The others look at me. “Fuck!” Brandon exclaims before he comes over to me. He kneels. “Eva. Please look at me.” He takes my hand. “I accept it. I accept all of it. I never wanted children because I knew that I would die too soon.”
“What do you mean?”
“When my parents were killed, I had a vision of my death.” He chuckles, “Ironically, it still happened.” He looks at Vincent. “I just wasn't supposed to survive. Thank you, Vincent.”
Mormo nods, “Eva, had he died you wouldn't have the last bit you need to defeat Astaroth.” He looks at Brandon. “Those siding with Astaroth wanted you to hate vampires and to never love a woman.”
“I don't hate vampires because of Eva,” Brandon says.
Mormo shakes his head. “Because of your love for her not because of her.”
He nods to my father. “I would like permission to marry your daughter.”
My father laughs. “A bit late, but I will allow it.”
Brandon kisses my hand. “Eva, I am an idiot. But when Astaroth is no longer a threat, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”
“Yes.”
Katie screams. “Boys, that's how you do a proposal!”
Vincent grumbles, “I at least asked.”
She rolls her eyes. “Eeyore.”
They chased each other around the house as we all laughed. “I think a celebration dinner is in order,” Sam suggests.
“Mmm, me too.”
He chuckles. “Come on, wifey.”
“One sec.” I pulled Brandon up and kissed him. As Sam and I were walking toward the kitchen we heard Vincent ask Pakhet a question.
“Can my house be put back to how it was now?” he asks.
Pakhet giggles. “I suggest you learn to like pink sparkles.”
Vincent yells, “Eva!!!!”
