After wrecking Sam's playroom we went home in a fit of laughter.
Katie is the first to greet us, “Looks like you all had fun.”
Sam wipes tears from his eyes, “We did but my playroom is now trashed.”
Cassius covers his ears, “I don't need to know.”
Katie perks up and grins broadly, “But I do.”
Vincent chuckles as he pats Cassius on the shoulder, “Cass, you will have to learn that nothing here stays private for long. If Eva and Katie don't say it, they think it.”
Morgan purrs, “Mmmm, and it's good too.”
Agnes purrs conspirioritedly, “I agree.”
Vlad laughs, “Told you all that they wanted their tacos stuffed.”
Venus walks over and runs her hands over us. She says, “You all have traces on you before but it is so strong now. Who all did you all touch today?”
Morgan looks at me and grins, “Told you that she was close.”
My eyes widened, “Simon! You're Simon's mate!”
Venus flushes, “Simon, who is he?”
Sam says, “My twin brother.”
Steven gasps, “My dad.”
Venus bites her lip, “Oh!”
Morgan purrs, “They will be fun to watch.”
Agnes nods, “Agreed.”
“Morgan!”
She stretches as she sighs, “I have a long wait ahead. At least let me watch.”
Venus smiles, “I wouldn't mind.”
Sam shakes his head, “My brother might, he's more reserved than me.”
“He doesn't play as you do, does he?” I said as I played with my charm.
Sam smirks as his eyes darken, “No, he doesn't.”
“Looks like I got lucky.”
Sam bites my neck, “You did and will again.”
Eric yells, “Guys!” That made Sam who had me in his arms allow me to slide down his body, “Better, thank you. Now before we go fuck our wife again, Morgan and Gabe have you gotten anything from the tracker?”
Gabriel nods, “Yes, he left the packhouse straight to a brothel in the city then he went to a wooded residential area and then the cliffs. He was there for a few hours and then he moved again. This time in the opposite direction of where he had come.”
“That stop at the cliffs could have been to meet Raven or her coven.”
Morgan nods, “Yes, it very likely was.”
Vlad grins maniacally, “We can plan an ambush.”
“We will need to make sure that Raven isn't there first because her coven might be. Plus, we need to know what we might be walking into.”
Vincent nods, “Then let's make a plan in the morning.”
“We have time.” He gives me a look so I adjust what I wanted to say, “Fine, we have time but not that much time.”
Sam loops his finger into my collar and pulls me into a kiss, “Good wifey.”
Eric smiles as he kisses my cheek, “We got lucky, gentlemen.”
Vlad kisses my lips before pulling back to say, “We definitely did.”
Katie looks at all of us, “Wait! You better all have not gone off and gotten married!”
Vincent laughs, “Relax, you didn't miss out on anything.”
“I obviously missed something,” she says as she comes over to me and notices my necklace and flips over the charm, “My wife, eternal. That sure as hell looks like something to me.”
Vincent chuckles, “Wolfman is in trouble again!”
Sam shakes his head as he explains, “I had it made long before I found Eva.”
Morgan purrs, “Because your soul knew. All of them did despite the shroud protecting her. The soul knows even if everything else doubts.”
Morgan looks at Cass and Elena and their mates as Katie asks, “Is that why I never kept a guy very long?”
Morgan nods, “Most likely. Yes, promiscuity is a choice but for supernatural beings it loses its luster because they seek their mate while humans are happy with any carnal pleasures. We need that mate to complete us and fuel our desires. Our mate is the key to our life.”
Love is life and a life without it is one not lived. Our mate or in my case mates, embody that love. Therefore, our mates are our keys to life.
