I left the packhouse not long after Sam and Eva did. She hasn't changed much since that day that I lost to her in that challenge. I should have issued a challenge to Sam instead. Sam doesn't use magic but Eva didn't either until I tried to blindside her. I wonder what witch is helping her?

Using my Portal Stone, I went back to the brothel in the city. Before I entered, I could have sworn that I felt Sam and Eva through my link. He must have a place nearby that we didn't know about. Perhaps this is where he was all along. Eva must have had her witch friend put up a ward too. Raven appears, “You better have something that I can use.”

Raven sneers, “Can you conjure a fucking demon?”
“No.” But I do know how she summons them and that deals can be struck with some too. That's something I might have to consider doing because I don't envision Raven following through with her end of our bargain.
Raven demands, “Tell me what you know and make it good.”
I told her how Sam and Eva behaved at the packhouse and that I felt them in the city. She replies, “Odd place for wolves.”
“Yes, could it have been Eva's human friend's place?”
Raven nods, “Now that is very possible. She's quite close to her, right?”
“Yes, and she may even know the witch that's helping Eva too.”
Raven nods, “Then I will make you a glamor cuff. It only works when you wear it and must be charged every three days once worn. I want you to find this friend of hers and learn all that you can.”
“Consider it done.”
“Good,” Raven says with an evil grin.
She went over to a cabinet and took out a leather cuff. She put oils on it and chanted. It glowed, and after the light faded she handed it to me and said, “Before you put it on each time, you must have a clear picture of how you wish to appear.”
“I will use an Al generator to create an image. Can I just look at it before I put the cuff on?”
Raven nods, “Yes, now go.”
I left and got in my truck to drive to my hideout. Raven is always so blunt, but I am used to it. I would rather have a bitch lie to my face than stab me in the back. I doubt that she will fulfill our end of the deal. Her look before I left confirmed that. She will take what is hers and leave me for dead rather than honoring our deal. I wonder if there's another way I can play this week and still become Alpha?
