We watched darkness permeate the valley below and slowly start moving up the hills. Morgan jumped into action, “Well, it's time to light up this darkness!”
“How?”
Morgan rubs me, “Look inside of yourself. Just as you hold darkness you also hold light. You give and take life too. Use your gifts!” She goes over and pushes Eric and Cassius closer to me before she sits at my feet and looks up at me, “Cassius, Eric, Vincent you are the keys to unlocking that light.”
Agnes looks around, “Once she's unlocked so will you three be.”
“What if this doesn't work?”
Sam comes to me. He grabs my face in his hands. He looks into my eyes, “Snow White, you listen! All of this doubting it's not you. You are strong, fierce, and cunning! ‘Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.’ Nelson Mandela.” He caresses my cheek as he runs his other hand down my body to my stomach, “We all have fear, Eva. We all have fears.”
I put my hands over his that rest on my stomach. He kisses the tip of my nose, “But together we will conquer them. Not just for us but for them.”
That is when the weight of everything hits me to my core. He doesn't fear failing to kill Raven. He fears failing our unborn children. This is far bigger than light versus dark, good versus evil. No this is about a future for those that haven't lived yet. What we do now affects more than just us. It affects the future for the millions of innocents to come.
I pull Sam into a kiss that says everything my words can't right now. He's my ease and safety, but right now he's also my courage. We break the kiss and I rest my forehead on his forehead, “I love you.”
He grins that big wolfy smile that I love so much, “Eva, I love you too. But Snow White it's your time to shine. Go show that bitch who you are and what you can do!” He kisses me and walks me over to Vincent, Eric, Cassius, and Morgan. He gives my hands to Eric and Vincent. He hugs Cassius and gives Morgan a wink.
She purrs as she chuckles, “Alright, now we will use your bonds. You are all bound but this binding doesn't hide you or hinder you. It strengthens you once you tap into it! You've done that with your mates without even realizing it, Eva. It's why you cause storms, emit beams of light, and teleport castles.”
Vlad laughed and Morgan hissed, “Not now Dracula. Keep it in your pants!”
Vincent teases, “Better watch it brother or that pussy will show you her claws!”
I laugh. I just can't help it. Katie gasps, “Vin just made a cat joke. Has hell frozen over?”
Morgan grins, “It's about to! But now we must all focus. Everyone think of your most happiest or peaceful moment. Find bliss and focus it on those four.”
Morgan hops on my shoulder and Agnes hops on Cassius's. Agnes puts her head by Cass’s, “Cassius, I want you to focus on nothing but turning the lights on. I want you to light up the houses and the streets. Leave no place for darkness.”
Cassius asks, “How?”
She explains, “See yourself doing it, boy. That's how!”
Vin chuckles and Morgan swats at him, “Focus!” She looks at both Eric and Vincent, “Eric and Vincent, I need you to show your love and desire for Eva. It seems to ignite her more than anything.”
They rub me and kiss my neck. Vincent bites me. I fill with heat. I feel them and their love.
Morgan purrs, “Good. Vincent keep control. Eric join.”
We levitate as I begin to glow. Morgan purrs, “Purrfect.” She locks eyes with me, “Eva burn the imps and free the empusa.”
“Free?”
Morgan explains, “Ascension. Give them back life. Take them to the celestial realm.”
I close my eyes briefly and I feel uplifted. I open them as light shoots down the hill. It coats the valley like a blanket. There are explosions which sound like fireworks as the imps turn to ash. Soon spots of glowing gold start to float skyward like millions of balloons that were just released. It's beautiful.
“Wow!”
Sam floats up in front of me, “I told you that you'd shine!” He kisses me. Vincent and Eric heal their bite marks as their hands travel my body.
Katie yells, “Oh no! Not out here you don't!” as she grabbed Cassius by the hand. She launched balls of cold water at us. I dodge and we all start throwing balls of water at each other.
We laugh as we hear a woman scream, “No!!!!”
Then Morgan speaks and her voice booms all around, “Yes, you chose the wrong side once again.”
Raven gasps, “Morgan! No! You're dead!”
Morgan purrs, “No, but you will be!” She whispers into my ear, “Banish her.”
I just know what to do. I clap my hands and send fire to push her away. A wave like an EMP shoots from my palms. I know it hits her because I can feel her anger and confusion.
Morgan purrs satisfied, “Perfect.”
“Thanks but I felt something.”
Elena asks, “What, sis? Because I didn't feel anything but her anger.”
“Besides her anger and confusion, she thinks Cassius found a white witch. She's sure you're dead, Morgan. But she needs someone from my pack. I saw recognition in her eyes.”
Yes, Raven is outwardly beautiful with ivory skin, dark flowing hair, and deep eyes but her soul is hideous. I have never wanted to hate someone as I do her. I want to kill her over and over for every life she has taken.
Cassius looks at me, “Me, she wants me.”
“You are who she wants dead for betraying her. You aren't who she needs. She needs…” I look at Sam, “You. She needs you! She was going to use Steven
to lure you.”
Eric gasps with realization, “My masquerade! Cassius, you said someone she needed was there. We assumed it was Eva. We were wrong!”
Sam shakes his head, “Why me?”
Eric cocks his head as he looks at Sam, “You're the shifter king are you not? Your family allied with the White Wolf. The very wolf that your mate resembles.”
“But I'm not her.”
Eric hugs me, “Part of you is.”
Vincent sighs, “Adele, she knew.”
Sam nods, “Yes, I think so. She accepted everything.”
Eric looks at Sam, “So easily yes. She knew or at least knows some. Maybe she just can't tell us everything for some reason.”
Vlad clicks his tongue, “Well, she was wrong that Eva was the White Wolf. She's far more, but it does appear that the prophecy is repeating but has shifted.”
Artemis nods, “You're onto something! It's not good versus evil like back then. Humanity isn't threatened like back then. Now every being is threatened!”
Vlad nods, “She can't be allowed to become a god.”
Morgan spats, “She won't! Gods aren't created by magic. Gods are born!”
“You mean?”
Morgan says, “You were born one, Eva. Your brother and sister are part gods. All of your offspring will be gods.”
Vlad shakes his head, “We aren't gods.”
Morgan thinks for a moment, “Sam I think magic that day blessed your family. It is why most in your pack live long lives for shitters. It blessed you too, Arti. Why Vincent and Vlad will create gods just as Sam will. A goddess found you blessed ones and now a new reign will begin!”
Sam caresses my face, “Everything is fine.”
Katie yells, “Jar!” We all laughed. But me bringing the gods back to Earth, me finding my fated mates, me surrounding myself with blessed ones, it's just all surreal. But who am I to question fate?
