Chapter 14 Helpless Father

The night is already on the verge of ending, and I'm not at home cuddling my Shrey; she is safe, I know, but the urge to be next to her is making me go crazy.

I had already left Alex's place, and now I'm sitting inside my car for some mental peace; sometimes handling everything alone,

without someone to support you, it doesn't seem easy, even if it is a trivial task of taking two steps forward.

I don't want to fight; I'm tired, everything seems easy because everything is in hand, but slowly somewhere, a father is losing hope.

Timing is flowing like water; my doll must be waiting for me, but her father is helpless somewhere. Whenever I feel that I'm near a clue, then only a mistake remains.

After deciding on our next move for Evelyn's, I'm again on my track to find Kendall.

In these four weeks, I have been hunting down the small goons and the contract dealers to reveal the hideouts of the abettors hired by the culprit to jump upon the man lead.

In the underworld, everything is interconnected, and keeping the hideout and knowing your opponents' weaknesses is the first step and rule to carry over underground.

But unfortunately, I got no clues from them. So, taking a deep breath, I decided to spend my night alone in the car, sending my subordinates back to their respective places. That's what I thought until someone knocked on my car's window.

"Sir, it's getting late, and ma'am must be getting worried about you; I think you should go back home." I sighed and looked toward the dazzling moonlight.

Is he trying to mock me or doesn't know about the lady's condition he is perturbed about now?

I ignored his question and asked him, "I remember telling you and everyone else to go home. What are you doing here?"

He gave me a small smile, and he too looked toward the sky and leaned near a tree left from my car,

I expected him to say something, but he didn't. It seems like he stayed here to accompany me.

"Sir, I think we should contact john," he said out of nowhere, and that stuck in my mind; he is one of the most feared and dangerous men; he should know the one who kidnaped my doll or possibly he is the abductor himself.

Why didn't I think about this earlier ahh? I'm so stupid;

I got off my car, went toward him, held his shoulder, and said, "thank you, Uhm." "Peter, peter Charles." ops he is my subordinate and I forgot his name, embarrassing, right yeah I know.

"Okay Peter, morning itself; get me the location of John and arrange my meeting; I will meet him personally." I professionally mandated him, expecting no delay and objection in this work entrusted to him.

"Sure sir, I will do it right asap."

with this, he went away and left the place in his car, and I decided to go back home and have some rest too.
