Chapter 60 Chapter 60

Chapter 60 Chapter 60
Reynard and Brendan stepped back after marking her, simultaneously wiping away the specks of blood that lingered on their mouths as they watched her.

The three of them all grew up being taught the ways of the werewolf mate bonds. Elders would tell younglings that it felt like their hearts grew twice as big, and their bodies became warm with love. They believed this was because of the two werewolves coming together and becoming one with each other: their power, their strengths and all that is good about them, they now share with their mate.

Yet the sensation was unlike anything Suki had believed she would encounter. It was fiery and heavy as it flowed through her. Her body became overwhelmed as the magic consumed her, knees buckling as she couldn’t hold herself up anymore.

She whimpered in pain as she collapsed to the ground.

“Suki,” Reynard called out, concerned, rushing to the ground to catch her before she fully dropped.

Brendan had done the same.

As they all hit the ground, her fated mates breaking her fall, Suki’s eyes fluttered shut for a few seconds. In those seconds, flashes of a woman-shaped silhouette appeared before her, and a radiant golden glow surrounded the figure. Suki furrowed her brows, as if she were trying to squint to get a better look at who the woman was, but no such luck.

What the hell is going on? She thought.

Then, a voice that didn’t belong to her echoed in her mind. “There’s not enough time to explain. Hone your power, embrace your destiny. Save the werewolf race.”

Her eyes flickered open to see Rey and Brendan looking down at her with a worried expression painted across their faces.

Brendan moved her hair out of her face. “Are you all right?”

Instantly, she sat upright, forcing the men to lean back a little, and reached for her neck. The warm and slick blood coated her finger. Glancing at her hand, her mind settled back to reality; she touched the other side of her neck and inhaled a faint gasp.

“That felt harsher than we were told growing up…” she exhaled, rubbing her head. Turning to look at Rey first, a silent question gleamed in her eyes.

Reynard watched her carefully. ‘How are you feeling?’

‘Good, I think. Different,’ she replied in the bond, then yelped out loud. Suki grinned widely. “I heard you! And I can… feel you.” She rested her palm on his cheek, her eyes filling with happy tears before facing Brendan. “Brendan…?”

‘You gave us a scare for a second there, love,’ his voice echoed in her mind.

Her heart sank in relief as reality struck her. “It worked,” she whispered. “It worked,” she repeated louder.

Brendan chuckled at her excitement and hauled her into a big hug. “I’m glad,” he spoke gently.

She hummed pleasantly in his arms. His scent of a salty ocean breeze with a tangy twist of orange and sandalwood entrapped her more than ever. At the thought of Brendan’s scent, Reynard’s also entwined in her nostrils – clary sage, wild berries and green tea.

Surprisingly, their scents mixed beautifully together, which made her body suddenly heat up, starting at her cheeks and moving down her chest, through her stomach, lower and lower…

Flustered, Suki pulled herself away from Brendan’s embrace and tried to distract herself as she stuttered, “Th-The telepathy is a lot louder and clearer now. Seems like it’ll be a lot easier to communicate from now on.” She cleared her throat, hoping that the flushed sensation in her cheeks wasn’t visibly obvious.

“It will be,” said Reynard as he dragged a finger across his bitemark on her neck. He edged closer behind her and uttered in her ear, “You’re already healing beautifully, Ki.”

The heat in her cheeks began to tingle with sparks.

Rey planted a kiss on her neck, right over the healing bite he bestowed on her, which had already scarred over. He lingered close, embracing her scent before planting more kisses on her neck.

Suki sucked her lower lip between her teeth as her head dropped back slowly, but that didn’t stop the very clear moan from escaping her lips.

Feeling a wave of embarrassment, she sat upright, ready to move away from both her mates, but Rey held her shoulders and stopped her.

“You have nothing to be embarrassed about,” his deep and gentle voice sent chills down her spine.

“I know,” she exhaled and swallowed a lump in her throat, “but I… I’m feeling…”

“Heated?” Brendan questioned, raising a mocking brow as he smirked. “Trust me, love, we know the feeling.” He leaned forward, kissed the scar of his mark on her neck and dragged his mouth up to hers. “This is what you wanted, wasn’t it? Both of us?”

Her breath hitched. “Yes… But, to be honest, I didn’t really think about what we would do…after.”

“Oh?” He purred against her lips, “Well, it should be like any seal of the bond, shouldn’t it?”

Suki’s breathing became heavy with lust and desire. She turned her head to the side, ushering Reynard to say something.

Rey moved her hair away from her face and behind her tear, before uttering, “We both want you, Ki, will you let us have you?”

“Both? A-At the same time…?” Her eyes rounded.

Brendan nodded

“You’re both okay with that?”

Reynard and Brendan looked at each other for a moment before bringing their attention back to Suki.

“We’ll do what makes you happy,” said Rey, “but the sealing of the bond is powerful and… intimate. Our connection is heightened even more now.” He gripped her shoulders, gently massaging away the tension building in her neck. “Plus, we knew what we were getting ourselves into by risking this. We’re willing to share you. We want to share you.”

“It’s all about you, though, love. We want to make you feel good.”

All of the air in Suki’s lungs escaped, rendering her speechless. These two men, who despised each other, were willing to put aside their differences for her.

Taking hold of her chin, Brendan pressed his lips against Suki’s. “I still haven’t had a chance to taste you.” He pecked her lips again, moving the kisses down her neck, to her chest, her stomach, and stopping above her core, sheltered by her clothes.

Her body relaxed, leaning onto Rey’s chest as he embraces her. The tension was dissipating away from the touch of both men.

“Can I?” He searched her eyes for rejection, but there was none.

‘Yes,’ she exhaled down the bond to both her mates. ‘Yes.’
