Chapter 65: She Can't Stay Here
Chapter 65: She Can't Stay Here
Isla
"This must be a joke..." I managed to stand on my feet. It was bad enough that he was getting married to her and now she was trying to force her way into his house. Our home? "This can't happening..." Everything came crumbling at once. I still felt the pain at the back of my head as her words shook my very core.
"Leave Bianca. You can make wedding preparation from anywhere you are and you don't have to be here." Dante tightened his fist, holding himself back. I do not know what he meant to do but I didn't think I could breathe the same air as this bitch in this house. The idea that they were getting married is suffocating enough. Bianca flipped her dark hair from her shoulders as she avoided making eye contact with Dante. Instead, her eye fixed on mine, a knowing look that could translate as a dare. A dare, taunting me.
"You are talking as if you are not part of this union, Dante... We are getting married and it is only fair that we stay together and prepare for the wedding."
Dante scoffed at first. Eyes lost in blank space before chuckling like a maniac. "It is against the Italian way for a woman to be living with a man without being married to him. One celebration has to occur for that to happen. None has happened for us. Which means the rumors gathering your family would be , you are a crackhead that couldn't keep herself. Your father won't be able to survive the shame if it hits. So go back home." Dante forced out of himself. If I didn't know better I would believe that he cared about anything that had concerned Bianca. The tension between us only grew, as Bianca remained unmoved by his words. She wandered into the room, without being invited in.
"If you are talking like this. It shows that you don't know my family. We are not bothered by baseless gossip. It doesn't need to distract us from building the empire we have now, for years. Listening to those kind of gossip isn't what made us the most powerful family in history. So cut the crap, Dante. Anger and disappointment doesn't look good on you." Before I blinked, Dante had wrapped his hands around her neck.
"Dante..." I gasped. Bianca breath ceased a she struggled for a while before laughing, as she kicked her lips. A glint. Despite being caught off guard, her chest were stroking out. Pride pumped into her, letting out soft moans. I tried to stop him but I held myself back.
"You will not speak to me like that. Do you understand?" His veins popping out. "I said do you understand?" He pulled himself back, her eyes closed with redness. His hands untangled on her neck, leaving a sign of harsh redness on her skin. She burst into laughter as she coughed at the same time.
"You cannot fight this. You know, my father would not be pleased If I am being treated like this. We are getting married and it is only natural that I stay in our home. Moreover, it is ours right?" Her shoulders arched back as she sat on the bed, like she owned the room. The maid wondered in, Dante stirred up in restraint.
"Set up the West Wing for Bianca. She would not step foot on this side of the villa." Bianca swallowed, biting her perfectly painted lips. Dante's eyes fuming pointed at her. "If I were you, I would stay out of my way. If you cross me, your father won't be able to save you."
I couldn't watch this. I felt my body dissipating into thin air, like I wasn't just existing in her. Suddenly the air around us suddenly felt hot like someone turned on the heater. I traced my steps out of the room, as I felt my blood drain from my face.
I wandered into my room, burying my face in my sweaty palms. That woman made me uncomfortable. There was something about her that screamed violence and danger, nothing good could come out from a woman who always troubled the peace around her. Walking into the villa like she stepped out of vogue magazine, I could feel the entirety of chaos behind her like brimstone. I couldn't be near her. Memories of my times with Skye and dahre, collapsed into my memory. When skye left, I thought fighting got his attention and his place beside me had ended. Now this?
"Isla..." His voice called on to me, but I backed his voice up with the noise in my head as I forced myself into my room. I tried to back the door but his grip against the door was stronger than mine. With the anger swirling in his eyes, I believed I was going to be choked into it.
"I didn't know she was coming here. I left strict instructions..."
"Dante don't you get it, your instructions doesn't mean shit to me. I can't stay here if she's going to be here."
"Don't be ridiculous. Where would you go?"
"Can't you see it? It is almost like a pattern." I breathed my heart was speed racing. I ran a lost fist around my untamed hair. " Yes, we need to start strategizing our hand just damn it, we are playing an already loosing game." The moment I think we could do something about avoiding this, the harder it gets for me to accept this. To accept everything that's going on. One minute, we are on the same side trying to win this. Next minute, I was questioning everything out relationship stood for.
It was draining me.
"What do you mean? You don't give up on us now that we have agreed to stand with each other." His voice lowered with every step he took towards me. "Tesoro..."
"Stay back please. I can't think straight when you are looking at me like that. I need her to leave here. I can't do this. This woman was behind the attack against me at work. If you guys had just been there, I don't know what would become of me. She needs to leave."
"I'm sorry, Tesoro. Telling her to leave is as good as causing a rift. Since I don't have a string place yet in taking over from Padrino, that's not the wise option." I blinked, taking in all the had said. "See, I promise you she would not bring harm to you. But in the case if leaving this house, there's nothing wrong can do about that, love." He brought his hands to my cheeks as I fought back tears. It was a pattern, everything was repeating itself.
"First, Skye. Now Bianca. I am tired of being the object o
f your mistakes, Dante. I am tired."
