CHAPTER EIGHTY-FOUR
LUCIAN'S P.O.V
"I support you two, you can leave."
"Dad!" Mirabel exclaimed, her voice filled with indignation.
He smiled softly as he turned to her.
"I know, my dear. But if you look at it, they are right. We have to make choices, not just for what we want but also for our pack. Them being here still spells danger for the pack because we don't know what else Desmond might be planning."
I nodded in agreement, then he turned to me.
"Like I said, I support you. No matter where you go, know that we will always support you."
"Exactly, you guys..." Eli smiled, "...have become people that have grown on me. You're like our family."
Jake sniffed and lowered his head, his voice nasally.
"What he said."
Aurora and I smiled at his words.
"Think of us as your family." Alpha Samuel smiled at me, his eyes narrowing into squints as he glanced at Aurora fondly. "I already do, don't forget that. After you leave, if you ever need us for anything, just call us and we'll be there in a flash. No questions asked."
My hands clenched as I nodded at him.
"Thank you sir, this means a lot to me."
"When do you intend to leave?" Luna Stellar asked curiously.
I glanced at Aurora, she nodded at me.
"Tomorrow, we intend to leave, tomorrow."
"Tomorrow!?" Mirabel shrieked and slammed the table, almost topling its contents. "But tomorrow is just too fast, you have to give us time to...prepare."
She shook her head, glancing at me and Aurora with panicked eyes. Eli and Jake shook their heads sadly.
Aurora tried to calm her down.
"Its okay, Mirabel I promise, after this is all over, we'll have a big get together, just the six of us. Okay."
She bit her lips, Shawn rubbed her back slowly, staring intently at her.
"If you say so. Don't you dare forget us, or me, okay?" Then she glared at me. "And you better treat her right, or else I swear I'll personally kill you. If you need help, you call us, don't have any stupid pride....okay?"
Her eyes became teary and her voice shook. Aurora made a choking sound and rushed over to her. We watched the two women hug and sob into each other's arms. I looked away for a moment because of the stinging I felt in my eyes. It wasn't only me, Alpha Samuel, Eli, Jake and Shawn all had tears in there eyes as they watched.
After they had cried enough, Shawn and I both took our respective females to calm them down. Then we finished our breakfast in silence. We spent the whole day in each other's company, talking about funny memories and moments in our lives until we went to sleep.
The next morning, it was still the same. Mirabel and Aurora were in each other's arms, crying again. The other guys and I watched them with exasperation on our faces.
"I thought we were all done with this...not that I don't care but...again?" Shawn moaned with a deadpan voice. His eyes had black circles under them.
"Had a rough night?"
He glanced at me and shook his head
"You have no idea." He lowered his voice into a whisper, his eyes glancing in her direction. "She cried the whole night, I could barely sleep a wink because I was trying to make her feel better. It wasn't easy, telling you."
I let out a small laugh, I didn't have such pleasure since Aurora and I stayed in different rooms. But from the puffy eyes I saw this morning, she had a little bit of sobbing time.
"Sorry." I told him.
"Goodluck." He told me softly, I glanced at him, he glanced at me then looked back at the women. "You'll need it."
"Thank you."
He smiled and nodded.
"Just try not to kill this Kieran guy." Eli joked.
I rolled my eyes, "He is an Alpha and how do you guys know about my beef with him?"
Jake shrugged, his eyes twinkling.
"Its easy. We listened to you guys."
"I see, you guys were listening to us that day huh?"
"Yeah, but we only came late so we didn't know you guys had been talking about leaving." Eli answered, his face serious.
I swallowed, my chest tight. I was going to miss them.
Finally, they separated and walked back to us. Their faces red and eyes puffy but with smiles on them.
Mirabel faced me with a smile, her hands balled as she spoke.
"Okay, I'm fine now. You guys can go. Do what you have to do so that the six of us..." Aurora cleared her throat, eyeing her. "...right, the eight of us can go on a vacation."
"Eight?" Eli and Jake titled their heads.
"When did we become eight? Are you adding mom and dad too? On a vacation? With us? They'll ruin the fun!" Jake exclaimed, his voice filled with horror as he shook his head.
Aurora laughed and shook her head.
"No silly, my best friend..."
Mirabel cleared her throat, giving a pointed glare at her. "...right, my first best friend and Griffin, Lucian's best friend will be joining us."
"Alright. Can't wait. What a relief" Jake cheered.
"Here's the keys for your car, don't forget it." Eli threw my keys to me, I caught them swiftly.
"Great."
"So...I guess its goodbye for now."
"Yeah, goodbye. See you guys later." Aurora whispered.
I turned and dragged Aurora off, she was getting emotional again, same with Mirabel.
"Bye!!"
"See you next time."
We got into the car, it was clean and freshly washed. "We waved them a last goodbye before starting the car.
"Goodbye."
I mouthed as we drove off. I looked at Aurora, her lips were trembling as she buried her hands in between her laps. I reached out and touched her cheek, she looked at me with teary eyes. I was feeling the same but I had to act like a man. We made so many nice memories with them, it's quite natural we feel this way.
"Hey, we are going to see them again."
"I know, I just miss them." She pouted.
"We'll see them again." I took a deep breath, "And off to that bast...ahem...I mean, off to Kieran's pack, we go!"
