CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN
AURORA'S P.O.V
I came awake slowly, my head felt heavy and groggy, I could not see anything because of the blindfold. I could not measure the time so I had no idea how long I was unconscious until I was suddenly dragged and dropped onto something hard and felt my body being tied to something again.
As soon as the gag was removed from my mouth, I screamed.
"Who are you? Where have you taken me to?"
"Stop screaming my dear, no one is going to hear you."
The mocking voice of a woman came from above me. Was it me or did that voice sound familiar, like I have heard it before. I took a breath to calm down.
"Who are you? What do you want from me?"
"Who I am is not important, as for what I want...its simple, I want you dead."
She answered, I felt something sharp and cold grazing my cheek.
"Why do you want me dead, I don't think we've met before?"
She laughed, a shrill laugh mixed with giggles.
"Oh we have. In fact, you put me in a very serious situation. It angers me just to think about it."
I shook my body as I gritted my teeth.
"Then tell me who you are or show your fucking self. Stop being a coward. Pull off the blindfold."
'Slap'
I grunted in pain as I felt the sting on my cheek.
"Is that the best you've got? Its simple, pull off the blindfold."
"Ha!", she scoffed, "As you wish."
Someone reached out and untied the blindfold. As it fell from my eyes, I blinked softly to get my eyes used to the sudden bright light. Was it morning? Oh, it wasn't. We were in some sort of a warehouse, I think and it was just so bright. I stared in shock at the woman in black leather tights, two other men dressed in black and had their faces covered in masks were behind her.
"Vivian?". The crazy lady that kidnapped Lucian just to severe the mate bond between him and I? What was she doing here?
She waved while grinning, her white teeth showing.
"Hi. Miss me? Or are you shocked to see me free?"
"More like shocked. What are you doing here and how did you get out? Was it the alpha?"
"That's none of your business, you twat. You should just focus on yourself, because today is the day I finally get to kill you. Then Lucian will have no choice but to take me." She giggled as she covered her face.
"Wow, you think?"
"I know."
She glared at me then smiled as she motioned to the two men, they immediately held me.
"Anyway, enough of this talk, say hello to Lucifer for me, okay."
She brought out a sharp knife and held it out in front of her.
My eyes bulged out.
"Whoa whoa! Why don't we take it...easy?"
I grunted while trying to focus. Where is the damn power when you need it? Please, don't fail me right now. Nothing worked, she was inching closer to me now, the knife just a mere distance away from my neck.
"Can we talk about this for a sec?"
"No need for talks now. We can do later, after you're dead."
She whispered, then with a yell, she thrust the knife to my neck.
"Arrrgh!"
I screamed while closing my eyes but instead of feeling the pain, I heard loud crashing noises. My eyes opened to see that two wolves, one black and one brown had burst into the warehouse and the black one had Vivian's head in its mouth.
"Lucian?" I whispered.
The wolf answered by spitting out her head and letting it roll to the floor. The other wolf successfully killed the two men. I watched with relief as they went behind a box and soon emerged shirtless but with pants. I'm guessing they tied it to their legs while shifting.
"Aurora!" Lucian yelled as he ran to me and pulled me into his arms.
"Lucian. How? How did you find me? Though I'm glad you guys arrived in time."
"My wolf woke me up and led me here. I'm sorry I almost arrived late."
He got to untying the ropes around me. I couldn't help laughing.
"Its alright, I'm just glad you arrived in time. That bitch was damn crazy and set on killing me."
"How did she even escape? I'm sure we locked her in the dungeon." Griffin growled while glaring at her corpse.
"I asked her but she wouldn't tell me. Could it be your dad?"
Lucian shook his head, still busy with the ropes.
"I'm not sure, but anything is possible with him."
"Aurora!"
"Huh?"
We all turned to see an also shirtless Kieran running towards us.
"What the hell is he doing here?" Lucian growled.
"How is he here?"
I blinked while starring at him, damn he was ripped. I felt someone dragging my face.
"Stop looking at him." Lucian grumbled.
"Aurora, are you alright? Were you hurt?"
He asked immediately he reached my side, his eyes frantically roamed my body.
"I'm fine, Alpha Kieran. Luckily, Lucian arrived just in time to save me."
"I see." He swallowed, looking grim as he glanced at Lucian. "Well, as long as you are safe."
I smiled at him.
"What are you doing here and how did you find here?" Lucian asked him, finally pulling the ropes off me.
"I followed you after I saw you and Griffin rushing out of the pack house."
He answered as he helped me take out the ropes.
I suddenly felt guilty, because of me, three men had to leave their sleep and come save me. If only the power had worked at that time.
"I'm sorry guys..." I lowered my head. "...if only I had already awakened my powers, I'm sure I could have saved myself and saved you guys the trouble."
Lucian flicked my nose as he smiled.
"Come on, its no biggie. I don't mind saving you again even if I'm in the shower."
"Yeah, we don't mind at all." Griffin chorused with a nod.
"What powers are you talking about?"
Alpha Kieran asked, breaking the mood.
"Oops!" I murmured and glanced at Lucian.
"What do you mean by awakening your powers?" He persisted.
"Lucian?" I called out, "Should we tell him?"
