Chapter 185 185
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-FIVE

LUCIAN'S P.O.V

For one, they both didn't argue with me or each other, they gave one last, longing glance at the babies, a sappy smile Aurora and left.

I gently took both of them from her and held them. They were so tiny, almost weighing nothing. The girl let out a sharp, indignant cry at being taken away from her mother while the house just blinked lazily, like the world had slightly disturbed him.

"My babies. My world. Daddy is holding you...and daddy is going to love you with everything he has." I crooned softly, the baby going quiet as she blinked at me, as if listening to my voice.

I smiled at Aurora, she looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"Surprise." Her voice came out soft and weak but I knew she was the strongest woman I have ever known.

"Yeah, it is a surprise, one that I'm very grateful for. We have two of them."

She chuckled weakly, her eyes drooping.
"Yes, we do."

"I love you so much." My voice was choked with emotion.

"I know...and I love you too."
She yawned, I leaned down and kissed her forehead.

"Go to sleep, you've worked hard enough. Now its my turn."

"Hmmm...thank you."

Then she fell asleep. I stood watching her for a while before facing our children. Our children. Our daughter flexed her tiny hand, I stared at her almost bare head, safe for a few stands of pale, blonde hair from her mother. She had light blue eyes, just like me. As for her brother, his hair was a massive of black strands, his eyes a light green, just like his mother's had been earlier. I opened my mouth and whispered.

"Luna. Leo."

For the first time, it felt like the tiny bit that has been missing in my life was finally completed. I was whole again, even though I didn't know I wasn't. What more could I ever ask for again?

I have my lovely, beautiful mate, my love. Aurora. My pack, my family. And now my children. Tears dropped down my eyes to land on the babies' foreheads. I made a silent vow as I stared at them and their mother. I will do everything in my power to keep our family as happy as this, and even more. My wolf howled inside me, as if to agree with what I just said.

Three Years Later

The pack house courtyard echoed with laughter and joy. Luna ran past me giggling, her pale curls bouncing wildly, eyes bright and fierce. Leo followed behind her at a calmer pace, but with a determined little scowl as if he took tag very seriously.

“Grandma can’t catch me!” Luna shrieked.

“I am letting you win!” Mom shouted back, very obviously out of breath.

Aurora stood nearby, a grin on her lips as she watched them go. Her hand was placed on her protruding stomach, caressing it gently. She was heavy again, with our child. As the days passed, she became more and more radiant in my heart that it seemed to me that I was talking in love with her everyday. I walked over to her and handed her the cup of juice she had wanted. I wrapped an arm around her waist automatically, bringing her flush to my chest.

“You’re staring again,” she said lightly.

“I am appreciating.” I replied.

She smiled and wrinkled her nose, her eyes narrowed.
“You said that three years ago.”

I shrugged, smirking.
“I meant it then. I mean it now.”

She leaned into me, Mom finally tackled the twins triumphantly to the ground.

“I still can’t believe we didn’t know it was twins.”

"I know right? Kieran and Mirabel finally let us rest when they realized there was enough children to go around."

"It was a blessing in disguise, because I was dreading the day they would have to fight for the baby. But it turned out I didn't need to worry."

She rested a hand over her stomach.
"We should visit them soon.”

“Auron and Kieran?”

She nodded.
“Yep. They’ve both found their mates."

"Thankfully." I muttered, she slapped my arm.

"And both of them are expecting, and for some reason, they are expecting me to stay in each of their packs until their mates give birth.”

I let out a laugh.
“Imagine Kieran with a daughter.”

She grinned wickedly.
“Imagine Auron with a stubborn son.”

We both laughed.

I shrugged.
"They simply want you to be around. Its been how long since we all saw each other"

She tilted her head.
"Hmm. Talia and I stayed in Eli's pack for a whole month, after Mirable and Ariel gave birth. Then as for Auron and Kieran...I think its been a year."

"Yep. They are definitely not going to let us be until we visit them."

"Then what do you think we should do?"

I stared down into her face, her bright golden eyes, her snow white tresses that brushed her butt gracefully.

"What do you think we should do?"

She grinned.
"I think we should pay them a visit. Let's see who will be the godparent of this one. Though I know its going to be a war."

"It's a deal."

She nuzzled her cheek against my chest, I caressed her hair. "Have I told you that I lived you today?"

She giggled.
"I don't remember, can you remind me?"

I pulled her in for a hug, feeling our baby move as her stomach touched me.
"I love you. Now and always, until the day I die. Has it refreshed your memory?"

She nodded.
"Definitely, you just said you love me a million times. And I love you too, my king, my mate."

Leo broke free and ran toward us.
“Daddy! Mommy! Grandma says I’m going to be Alpha one day!”

I crouched down to his level.
“You will be.”

Luna toddled over more roughly.
“And me?” she asked.

I lifted her into my arms, kissing her on the cheeks.
“You too. The both of you are alphas and will definitely be great alphabet to your pack.

Aurora smiled at them, placing a kiss on their heads.
“No matter what you become, my babies,” she said softly, “you’ll always be loved.”

They both nodded solemnly, as if that was the most important rule in the world.

And maybe it was.

But who knows? I'm finally happy with my mate and family. And nothing is going to ruin that.
