Chapter 176 176
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-SIX

AURON'S P.O.V

"How you would convince me to bring her here?"

He snapped his fingers.
"Aha! That's right, my boy. I couldn't bring here to you then have you got all gooey and ready eyed on her, you wouldn't let me kill her if you did. So I had to make you hate her. I made sure I turned everything I knew about her into lies in your ears, her upbringing, her friends, her life! You thought she grew up spoilt and happy while she was just as miserable as you. And it worked, you hated her so much that you didn't care about her anymore. You just wanted the powers."

Then he shook his head, and annoyed look in his eyes. "But then I noticed that you were suddenly going soft. That day you asked me if the research would hurt her, thars the day I saw it, you could no longer be trusted. So I lied to you. All I just needed was the powers anyway, once I had them, I would kill you and no one would fight me for the alpha tittle. You we're already useless to me from the day you awakened without any powers. "

"So, all these while, it was the powers you just wanted?"

He rolled his eyes and threw his hands up.
"Didn't you just hear everything I said? I didn't care about you or your blasted sister. I just wanted the powers and the only way I could have them was to harness them from you and when that didn't work out, it had to be your sister. If only you hadn't gone weak abs soft, I would have succeeded."

"Weak?" I cocked my head to the side, crossing my arms over my chest.

He growled.
"Yes, weak! You allowed your heart to be thawed by her, thereby letting yourself figure out the truth that I hadn't wanted you to find out. All the lies I had told you was to make sure she stayed a monster in your eyes. So when I say you are weak..." He looked at me pointedly, "...then you are weak."

"So, you think I'm not fit to be the alpha then, even though I was born an alpha?"

He scoffed.
"A true alpha is one that is spoken of with fear, a true alpha doesn't fear anyone and doesn't have those pesky things called feelings. A true alpha takes what he wants by force, without asking."

I nodded.
"Is that why you made all those orders without my permission and then made it seem like I was the one ordering it? You made my own people fear me to the extent that it was no longer the relationship of a ruler and his people, but a master and his servants. And I, the fool, did not notice any of this."

"So what if I did, I was trying to make the people hate you so that when I killed you, no one would cry for you or ask me questions on why I killed you. Instead they would have been happy that there iron fisted alpha was gone."

"And you carried out your plans perfectly, didn't you?"

He shrugged modestly.
"What can I say? I'm pretty smart and ambitious. Anyway, without me now, you won't get those powers you are desperately searching for. You'll be weak and powerless. A failed alpha."

"Alright.." I cracked my neck and did a few stretches. "Now that you are done revealing all your secrets, let me reveal a secret of mine. You said I was nothing without my powers, and I can't be a true alpha, right?"

"Exactly."

"A true alpha is one who is brave for his pack. A true alpha us one that has courage and determination on the face of danger. A true alpha, will fight to the death for his people and a true alpha will make sure he can do everything he can to make sure his pack is well cared for and protected. You hear me, that's what a true alpha is."

Then I smiled and raised one hand, the palm facing up. "And as for the powers which I don't have..."

A burst of red and blue flames shot up from my palm and soared towards the ceiling, I manipulated the flames to be in the shape of a whirlwind, twirling and getting wider. Gasps filled the room as the flames cast its golden and blue light around the whole room. Elder Mikhail stood struck frozen, his eyes as wide as saucers, his mouth wide open.

"You...how? What...the power...you got your powers? How?..." His gaze darted from me to the flames and back. "No! I...I refuse to believe it! You have no powers, I know that. How are you doing this?"

"Well, you see, my stay with Aurora led me to my powers coming to me. It turned out that all these while, what I needed was just the peace and tranquility that our twin bonds brought to me. That's all." Then I smirked and looked him dead in the eyes, he guessed and stumbled a few steps back. "If you think my powers are not real, then feel free to rest it for me."

I thrust out my hand and let the flame lunge towards him, he emitted a loud scream and fell to the ground cowering. When I pulled the flames back and extinguished it, a bald, red shiny and hairless Elder Mikhail crouched, trembling in the floor. All of his hair had been singed by the flames.

"Pfffffft! Sorry!"

Thane, who had followed me, burst out with laughter, he quickly tried to rein in his laugh, but the way his body trembled and the focus he used to squeeze his face spoke of his struggle. Derek's lips had gone up and now the were trembling as he tried to stay calm.

"My hair!" Elder Mikhail suddenly screeched, his hands frantically touching his bald head, searching for the hair that was no longer there. "What have you done?! My hair...it's all gone...my hair..."

"Pffffffy! I'm sorry...I can't hold it any longer." Thane finally lost the battle and bent over, his hands on his stomach as he laughed loudly. The other men behind him also started laughing, Derek could not hold it either and turned away, covering his face with his hands but not hiding the way his shoulders we're shaking. I grinned asking with them while Elder Mikhail stared at us in horror and anger.

"How dare you do this to me? You can't laugh! Stop laughing at me!" He screamed, I never realized how tiny his voice sounded when he screamed. Oh well, you learn new things everyday.

"Alright guys, let's stop laughing. Pity the man okay." I spoke it with mockery in my voice, it took everyone a few minutes before they finally got themselves together.

"Now that that's settled, I need to think of the right punishment for you." I told him, tapping a finger against my jaw.

His eyes widened in fury as he struggled to his feet.
"You can't do anything to me. You can't! I saved you, you hear me! If it hadn't been for me you would have been dead."

I nodded slowly, as if I was thinking it over.
"You are right, I can't do anything to you..."

"Alpha don't listen to him..." Derek growled.
"Yeah, he deserves to die." Thane supported.

Then I grinned, glancing at the door.
"But she will..."

He paused, a look of confusion on his face.
"Who?"

I stared at the door, everyone followed suit, including Elder Mikhail. Then the doors suddenly burst open and someone walked in.

"Hello motherfucker!!!"
