Chapter 161 161
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-ONE

AURON'S P.O.V

Lucian stared at him for a while, his eyes twitching, the room was silent as the others tried to hide their snickering.

"I didn't know that. Thanks for noticing, Sherlock." He gritted slowly while glaring at him but at the same time trying hard not to change his facial expression but failing because the tick at his temple didn't hide it. He inhaled deeply with his eyes closed and exhaled.
"Now, as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted..." He became serious again, exuding a cold, no nonsense aura. "...we brainstorm after we wake up on how to deal with this Mikhail guy. Its early that he has other motives, let's just hope they are not dangerous for us or our pack."

Everyone nodded and said goodnight as they began to leave. I stood awkwardly staring at the bed and back at them.

"Auron, what's wrong?" I felt Aurora tugging my hand. I smiled nervously.

"Um...where do I sleep...please. I don't think I can sleep here right?" Not where I was held as a Capricorn.

"No one does, we all sleep at the pack house." She took my hand in hers, her hand felt so small and fragile in mine. "Come, I'll take you to a room in the pack house, you can sleep there. And truse, it will be comfortable."

"If you guys don't mind, I can escort you." Talia suddenly appeared in front of us, she gave me a big grin which I tried to reciprocate but the memory of her words and the slap she fished out to me made me flinch slightly. She noticed it and grinned wider, her teeth shinning as she leaned closer.

"I'm harmless, as long as you don't hurt her." Then she pat my hand, "Don't worry, you are her brother, basically my best friend's bro, so I'll also watch out for you too." I unconsciously squeezed Aurora's hand while letting out a nervous chuckle.

"Sure, thanks. And I would never hurt her. Again."

She winked at me.
"That will do. Aurora, come on, let's go."

"Aww, but I was enjoying your guys bonding." She replied, dragging me along, I almost jumped when I felt Talia taking my other hand in hers.

"Let's go." She cheered.

Once we reached the pack house, which was pretty large and impressive.

"Nice." I muttered under my breath, not that mine wasn't nice, but this wass a fresh view. Aurora showed me to a cozy room with a big bed, a large wardrobe and a side table in it.

"Make yourself at home, okay?" she said, smiling.

I nodded, looking a bit around, not to my taste but I was happy.
"Thanks, sis."

Her face lit up at the word "sis", and she threw her hands round me, hugging me  tightly.
"I'm so glad you're here, Auron."

I nuzzled her head with my jaw.
"I'm more glad."

As we pulled back, Talia grinned and slapped my back, a bit hard, I had to bite back a wince.
"Get some rest, Auron. We've got a big day ahead of us tomorrow."

"Sure. Good night and goodnight Aurora."

She giggled before answering.
"Goodnight Auron."

I smiled, watching as they left the room, closing the door behind them. I let out a deep breath, feeling a mix of emotions. It was all so overwhelming, but for the first time in my life, I felt like I was where I belonged.
I walked over to the bed and sat down, sinking into the soft mattress and running my hands over the soft blanket. The room was quiet, just the faint hum of the night outside. I let out a long breath, my heart full, It was a strange feeling, being in a place that felt like home, but also feeling like a stranger.  Everything had finally worked out for the best. I was here, with Aurora, my twin sister. If I hadn't been captured, forced to hear the truth... I'd still be chasing her, hating her. What would've happened? I'd be dead, fighting Lucian's pack. Or still lost, searching for answers. But now... I knew. Aurora wasn't the monster I'd thought. Elder Mikhail had lied. Maybe he had even used me.

I felt a surge of anger at the thought of him, and I clenched my fists. I vowed to make him pay for what he had done to me, for what he had done to my sister. Lost in my thoughts, the exhaustion of the day finally caught up with me. I lay back on the bed, staring at the white ceiling and feeling my eyes grow heavy, then I slept.

The next morning, I woke refreshed, my eyes feeling wide and alert, the room's unfamiliar setting threw me off for a bit. But then everything that happened yesterday came rushing back so I relaxed. After stretching for a few minutes, I swung my legs off the bed, curiosity sparkling in me to explore the pack house. But as soon as I stepped into the large hallway, I froze.

"Oh my world!" An older woman gasped as she stared at me, her eyes pressed to her face, eyes wide in shock and her mouth slightly parted.  She didn't look that old, maybe in her early forties, dressed in a pair of comfortable jeans and a simple shirt, her hair was left to hang around her shoulders. I didn't know why but I felt some sorry of motherly warmth emanating from her. Is it because I never had a mother and always longed for one? It could be.

"Auron?" she whispered, her voice soft and soothing. "You are Auron right? Yes, you definitely have to be Auron."

I blinked. Who was she? Did she know me?

The woman took a step closer, her hands now settled closed on her chest as she stared at me with warm, misty eyes.
"Auron...you look just like her. Its beautiful"

I stepped back, away from her, my eyes narrowed on her everything move like a predator watching its prey.
"Who are you and how do you know my name?" I growled out.
