CHAPTER FIFTEEN
LUCIAN'S P.O.V
"I, Aurora Steel, hereby reject you..."
"No! Please don't!"
I ran to her, pulling her in a kiss, my grip on her body tight. She went stiff in my arms as I kept my lips tight on her soft lips. With my tongue, I pried open her lips and took her tongue in my mouth.
A primal growl erupted from my chest, my hands tightening against her. I felt her small hands pushing weakly against my chest, that's when I came back to my senses and pulled away. She was panting heavily, her lips red as she glared at me.
'Slap'
I felt a slight sting on my cheek after she raised her hand. I knew that was coming which was why I didn't bother getting angry.
"I deserved that."
I muttered under my breath.
"How dare you kiss me?" Her voice shook as her face was turning red.
"I'm sorry, but I couldn't stand and watch you hurt yourself. You can't reject me Aurora." Her eyes flashed in anger,
"But, if you leaving will stop you from trying to hurt yourself...then...I guess you can leave."
She stared at me, her eyes narrowed.
"Are you sure I can leave?"
It hurt to say yes so I just nodded my head.
"Thank you."
I swallowed the lump in my throat.
"I'll drop you off."
"No need, I can get there by myself."
She refused, her long hair swayed with the action, my eyes following it.
"Its dangerous, something might happen."
She grunted and placed her hands on her hips.
"And I said I can handle it, in case you haven't noticed, my injuries are healed."
She pointed to her neck which I just realized was now without the bandage and looked clear with no scars. I stared at her pale neck in surprise.
"How come it healed so fast?"
She looked away and shrugged.
"I don't know, can I go now."
I still wanted to ask about how it healed quickly but I could see she was in no mood to answer me.
"At least let me find someone to take you home."
The door suddenly opened and in walked Kieran, his face hard and stiff as if he was angry. He stood in front of me and took her hand in his.
"No need, I'll take her home."
"Alpha Kieran?"
She stared at him in surprise, he smiled at her then glanced back at me, a cold glint in his eyes. It seems he knows that I kissed her.
"I don't mind."
I bristled, how dare he offer to take her home. It could be anybody but not him.
"Well I do mind, why does it have to be you..."
"I accept, please take me home." She glared at me before smiling at Kieran.
He smirked at me, his gray eyes twinkling with victory.
"She doesn't want you to take her, instead she choose me. So deal with it."
"Can we go now, Alpha Kieran!" Aurora sighed.
"Yes."
He answered as he let her walk in front of him. I made to stop him but he simply pointed at Aurora. I knew what he meant, if I made a move should only get upset with me. It took a lot of effort but I managed to step back.
I watched as he led her out the door until the door closed shut.
I stood there for a while, a multitude of emotions passing through me. Anger, disappointment, sorrow, anguish, you name it.
Our mate despises us. My wolf whimpered.
I suddenly felt the urge to run so I rushed to the window and jumped shift in the air. I landed in my wolf form and ran into the forest.
As I ran, the scenes with Aurora trying to reject me and Kieran taking her away played out in my head. I stopped at one moment to lift my head into the sky and let out a long mournful bowl. Then I continued running, my paws tearing through the earth, my tongue hanging out as I panted. I finally collapsed to the ground when I could run no more, my body was finally exhausted. I let my tired eyelids close as sleep took over me.
When I woke up, I discovered I was no longer on the rough ground filled with dirt and dried leaves and branches. I was on a soft bed, lying on my back.
"What the..."
I tried to sit up but couldn't. That's when I felt something holding my hands and legs. My eyes sprang open to see that I was laid flat on the bed, in my naked form, my legs and hands spread wide. Tied to each bed post.
"What the hell? Where am I? What is this?"
I growled as I tried to yank off the ropes bonding me but to no avail.
"What sort of ropes are these?"
Normally, I would be able to snap them off in an instant, so this was a shock to me. I tried again, grunting out loud in the process.
"Please don't bother..." A female voice suddenly rang out, "...those ropes are laced with silver. There is no way you can cut them."
My head moved frantically, searching for the owner of the voice but the only thing I could see was the plain room. There were no other furnitures in the room aside from the bed and the windows had been covered with flat boards to keep me from escaping.
"Who are you? Show yourself, why are you hiding?" I yelled still struggling to move my hands.
A chilly laughter rang out in the room, I tried to follow my voice. I couldn't focus, it seemed like the silver was making its way into my system.
"I said, show yourself, you fucking bastard."
The laughter stopped, the room went deadly silent.
"That's not a nice word coming from you, Lucian."
"You know me? How do you know my name?" I asked
"Of course I do?"
I said nothing.
The voice continued, sounding mysterious.
"What if I said I was your true mate?"
