Chapter 123 123
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-THREE

AURORA'S P.O.V

I woke up the next morning, feeling a bit sore but happy. Lucian was still sleeping, and I took a moment to admire him. He was lying on his side, his face relaxed, and his hair tousled with his mouth slightly parted. He looked so innocent and relaxed, you would hardly believe he was a monster in bed. I leaned over and kissed him softly on the lips.

"Wake up, sleepyhead," I whispered.

He opened his eyes, and a slow smile spread across his face, his eyes lighting up.
"Good morning, sunshine." he said, his voice husky.

I smiled back, feeling a flutter in my chest at the nickname.
"Good morning, how was your night?"

He reached out a hand and pulled me close, nudging my nose with his.
"Perfect, because you were with me."

"Likewise." I replied.

We stared at each other, just gazing into each others eyes lovingly, then, my phone buzzed. I picked it up, and it was a message from Talia.

"Hey, girl! Want to hang out?"

I smiled.

"Who was it?"

"Talia. She wants to know if we can hang out."

He shook his head and buried it in the crook of my neck.
"Tell her no, I still want you to myself." He grumbled.

I slapped his back lightly.
"She's my best friend, I have to see her. And besides, you will always have me by your side, I only have her a few hours."

He sughed dramatically, running his fingers up and down my thighs, I shivered with the motion.

"Fine, but let me have a taste of you first." He whispered and pulled me under his, I accepted him with a grin on my lips.

We were in a secluded spot, a bit off from the pack house, under a large canopy sipping our drinks. I filled her in on everything that had happened, and she listened intently, her eyes widening with concern.

"Aurora, why don't you ever call me for things like this, huh? You had such an eventful day yesterday and the only way I found out was when Griffin told me."

"But its like I actually knew what was going to happen, they came so suddenly and then the thought of me getting you didn't cross my mind because I was occupied with the strange letter I got."

She blew out a deep breath, sipping her drink, a glare in her eyes.
"I just wish I had been there to knock some sense into those so called alphas. How dare they bring other women for your man and then have the guts to try to put you down."

I shrugged smiling, "It's okay, I did the job well."

"I know." Then she put her drink down and looked at me with concern in here's.

"What?"

"How are you feeling right now?"

I shrugged, letting out a weak sigh.
"I'm okay, I guess. I just wished I knew who sent the letter, the guy who gave to me only said Auron says hello. Who is Auron? Is it a man or a woman?"

"Girl, you need to be careful," she said, her eyes wide with concern. "We don't know who this person is capable of or what they want."

I nodded, feeling a tiny shiver run down my spine. "I know, I'm trying to be careful. But it's just so... weird."

She patted my hand. "We'll figure it out, okay? You have Lucian and Griffin and me. We're all in this together."

I nodded with a smile.
"I know, and I'm thankful for that."

She blew out a breath, shaking her head, her now shoulder-length hair flying with the movement
"Do not worry too much, I only hope its not someone as crazy as Desmond." She shivered, clutching her hands into fists, her face tense. "I can't go through what I went through with Desmond again."

I reached out and placed a hand on hers, she covered it with her other hand.
"You don't have to be scared anymore, I'm here, Lucian is here. We won't let anything like that happen again."

"Thank you, just promise me you will be safe. I can't lose you or stand throught of losing you again."

I nodded, holding up three fingers of my right hand.
"I promise to be safe, Scouts honor."

She shot me a look, "You and I know you were never in the scouts."

"I know, but I still promised right?" I grinned.

She threw back her head and laughed, then she leaned forward, bobbing her eyebrows up and down.
"So tell me, how has it been with Lucian? Any sparks? Or lightning?"

I blushed, looking away because my cheeks were starting to feel hot.

"Sparks...of course there are sparks." I sighed dreamily, "Oh, Talia, I never knew I could be so much in love with him. He loves me and shows me that he loves me. What had I been thinking when I tried to reject him...twice. He's like the best thing that ever happened to me...after you of course."

"Better." She smirked, then she eyes went warm, "I'm glad you finally found the person who loves you just like you have always deserved. We found our men and they love us, aren't we lucky?"

"So lucky." I raised my glass for a toast. "And they are also lucky to have us."

She nodded fiercely, toasting back.
"Like hell they are, we are their treasures they have to maintain."

Just then, one of the pack members, and older woman, came in and approached me.
"Luna, there's a group of women from the local schools here to see you. They want you to visit their schools as part of your Luna duties."

I nodded glancing at her. "Duty calls." I stood up facing the woman, "let them know I'll be with them shortly "

"Yes Luna."

Talia stood up, "Do you need me to come with you?"

"No, you don't have to. I know you have classes today, don't think I don't know."

"But..."

I narrowed my eyes in a no nonsense way.
"I'm not letting you skip your classes for my sake, this is just one of my duties as the Luna. Although, you, as the beta's wife should be with me but, your education is more important. Good thing I didn't have classes today."

"Fine..." She pouted, plopping back to her seat, "...have fun."

"I will." I replied
