Chapter 13 Kin Encounter
I screamed when Gavin violently pushed me to Kaizer, who was burning with anger. When I looked back at him, he was gone. Fuck that psycho vampire.
I unconsciously touched my left ear. Damn, he bit me here.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
Kaizer almost touched my whole body just to find out if I was hurt or not.
"I'm fine."
I looked at Randall, who was still trapped in the thorny plants wrapped around him.
"Let's help him."
Kaizer stopped me from approaching. He quickly showered his brother with small pieces of sharp ice. Even Randall cursed several times at what Kaizer did.
"What the fucking fuck Kaizer?! What if I got hit? Can't you make it gentle? Damn, your ice is sharp," Randall said irritably as he got up.
"Let's go."
Travis, riding his horse, was already approaching us. Kaizer immediately put me on our horse. While Randall quickly got on his horse as well.
What the hell? Is that it? Why do they act like they didn't encounter a strong and dangerous vampire? We probably haven't been riding for a few minutes when I spoke again.
"Why does it seem like nothing happened to you? It seems normal, it's like the three of you didn't just fight, based on how you're acting," I said in surprise.
"It is normal Saera. You know what is the abnormal thing Saera? My whole system, it's aching. Aching for you. Damn, I need to bite you. We need to find Dimitri’s place as soon as possible. I am not thirsty anymore. I am damn hungry Saera."
My whole body immediately heated up at the snow prince's words. Shit. Does he even know what he's saying? Isn't he ashamed of his brothers?
His two brothers whistled at the front.
"Fang to fang fight," Kael said laughingly. "He won't leave you alone for a week, Saera. He's making up for the years he was chained. The snow prince is said to be very hungry."
The perverted vampires laughed at the same time. I just rolled my eyes.
"Pervert vampires," I said with a sneer, which made them laugh even more, even Kaizer was joining in the laughter.
"Do you know that Gavin told me that we should follow the rose petals he left behind?" I suddenly said.
"Why would I do that? I might just end up killing him the next time I see him," Kaizer said coldly.
"How many hundred times have you said that, Kaizer?" Randall asked him laughingly.
"I am curious, why does Gavin hate the four women mentioned in the prophecy so much?"
His anger earlier was no joke, it seemed like there was a very deep reason.
"Because the woman he was waiting for from the other world didn't show up."
My chest slightly ached at Travis's answer. He's broken a broken vampire.
"Years ago, he was read by the blue fire. A woman from the other world will come for him, and this fire has never been wrong in its statements. But many years have passed, and the woman he's waiting for hasn't shown up," Travis explained with a shrug.
That's too sad.
"Rumor says that the woman broke the mirror intentionally."
I just bit my lip at Randall's follow-up statement. I couldn't find a word to say because if I were in his position and I knew what would happen to me in this other world, it wouldn't be surprising if I also broke the mirror that would bring me here. Afterall, all I want is just a simple life. Simple life of a human being.
'Then, I'll end up forever on that chains Saera..'
I just sighed when I heard what Kaizer was saying. Did I speak? Did he hear what I was saying? Damn.
'We have our mind link Saera, the moment we exchanged our blood. You and I can hear each other's thoughts'
'I'm sorry,' I just replied. Fuck.
"What do you think is the reason Saera? That's why Gavin went crazy. The woman ran away," Randall said laughingly.
"Maybe that woman knows everything, that she'll be going to this vampire world through that mirror. Breaking it is her own solution," I replied briefly.
"What about you Saera? Are you going to break the mirror if you have the knowledge about this world?"
I fell silent at Travis's question. Damn. Why did he have to ask that?
"I won't," I replied briefly.
"Tsss, liar," I heard Kaizer whisper.
I just felt him remove his arm from me and instead just held the reins of the horse.
'Kaizer, I'm sorry.'
I tried to enter his mind, but it seemed like he had already closed it.
We didn't talk to the vampires again until we arrived at the mansion of the so-called Dimitri. Kaizer remained cold to me, I wanted to talk to him, but he wouldn't look at me. He just helped me get off the horse and started walking ahead of me. Shit.
"What happened to the snow prince?" Randall asked me in surprise.
"He was just about to give all his blood for love, why does the prince look frozen again?"
I just rolled my eyes at the two vampires and followed Kaizer. Even the design of Dimitri's palace is really creepy and gives me goosebumps. There are lights hanging, but they don't provide much light because what really illuminates every corner of his palace are the flames from the red candles.
We were greeted by a uniformed man who seemed to be not far from Kaizer's age.
"The Don has been waiting for you."
The vampire brothers just followed arrogantly while I lagged behind.
When we arrived at a very large room full of books. I immediately saw the man with his back turned, as if looking at something from his window.
"What brings the second prince of Wisteria to me?"
When he finally faced us, I just covered my mouth. He's the guy from my grandmother's pictures.
He is the young version of my grandfather. I don't understand. Is he really my grandfather? My grandfather is a vampire?
"I don't have any business on you. But would you like to ask the beautiful woman behind me?"
Randall gently pushed me so that the man they were calling my grandfather could see me properly.
"Are you my granddaughter? Yvaine?"
I thought my eyes were fast, but I was still surprised when the young version of my grandfather got close to me. He is currently holding my cheek.
"You're beautiful just like your grandmother."
I didn't have the strength to get away from him. I know and I feel that the vampire in front of me is my grandfather. But he's too young, maybe in his mid 40's?
"I'm confused," I replied softly.
"Explain everything to her Dimitri," Kaizer said in a commanding voice.
Doesn't he know how to respect? He's talking to my grandfather.
"I am the prince Saera, I am the one who is respected," he replied coldly to me. My grandfather quickly put me behind him.
"Why are you with her, dear prince? Shouldn't the royalty be with my granddaughter?"
I just grabbed the back of my grandfather when I felt the temperature of the whole mansion drop. The floor was also slightly smoking because it was starting to freeze.
"You know that she is destined for me Dimitri, I don't like what's coming out of your mouth," Kaizer said seriously.
His brothers remained silent from behind.
"Kaizer," I called his name sternly.
"You are in my territory, dear prince, it is not good to use your own power without permission. It would be better if my granddaughter stayed here. Because if you ask me, my granddaughter is not worthy of just the second prince."
I was just speechless at what my grandfather said without hesitation.
"Then, I don't have choice but to kill you."
My eyes widened when a series of ice came out of the freezing floor of the palace and it was slowly approaching my grandfather.
My body involuntarily stepped in front of my grandfather and I spread my arms.
"Kill me first, Kaizer.”
