Chapter 395 I Win, You Go on a Date with Me

Juniper's heart was racing.

Brad, who was beside her, held her in his arms, his loose robe covering her body, a faint sandalwood scent filling her nose.

Just moments ago, Brad had used his own body to protect her.

Letting go, Brad said calmly, "Pardon my abruptness. It was an emergency. Please don't take offense."

"Thank you, Mr. Thornton."

Juniper touched her face, feeling it was a bit warm.

She simply opened the car door and got out, following the driver to check the rear-end collision situation.

Thora was already annoyed, and with Lyra constantly nagging in her ear, Thora became even more convinced that Catherine was an untrustworthy bitch.

Thinking about how Alexander was being fooled by such a sneaky and cunning Catherine made Thora extremely angry.

She couldn't wait to get to the hospital and tell the Howard family the truth about everything.

But halfway there, they slammed into the car ahead of them!

Thora looked at Juniper from head to toe. She was pretty, but she wasn't wearing any luxury brands, so she probably came from a middle-class family.

With this thought, Thora became even more impatient.

"Seriously, can you even drive? Whatever, it's my bad luck. Contact the insurance company, tell me how much it costs, and I'll be on my way."

Juniper frowned. "You rear-ended us. It's entirely your fault. I'm in a hurry too."

"I didn't say I wouldn't take responsibility! If you hadn't blocked my way, would I have rear-ended you?"

"So you're saying it's my fault that you rear-ended me?"

Juniper had never seen anyone so shameless.

Thora rolled her eyes. "That's exactly what I'm saying! Whatever, I'll take the loss. Just move out of the way."

A car sped by on the roadside and stopped beside them.

The window rolled down, and Catherine saw Juniper standing by the road. "Juniper, did you have an accident?" she asked with concern.

"Just a rear-end collision, nothing serious. Don't worry, I've already called Philip."

Seeing that Juniper was actually Catherine's sister made Thora even more annoyed!

"Like sister, like sister—both morally corrupt trash."

Juniper was instantly furious.

She could take being insulted herself, but what did Catherine ever do to her?

"What's your problem? What did Catherine ever do to you? Are you sick? Oh wait, someone who can't even drive properly probably has an underdeveloped brain. I shouldn't expect too much from you."

"What's my problem? Catherine did those things! Doesn't your family care? She's out there seducing other people's men, targeting my friend over and over again. She's not worthy of Mr. Howard at all."

Juniper raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, so you're here for the Howard family again. Whether Catherine is worthy or not isn't for you to decide."

The window rolled down further, revealing the noble Alexander's handsome profile.

"Juniper, get in the car. Don't delay visiting Grandpa."

"Coming."

Alexander didn't even spare Thora a glance, which made her stomp her feet in anger.

Before getting in the car, Juniper turned back to look at Thora.

"You idiot, don't think everyone in the Howard family is stupid and only you're clear-headed, okay? If you're so smart, why hasn't your family replaced the Howard family? Don't you want to be the richest?"

Thora was stunned on the spot.

What Juniper said was harsh, but it actually made some sense!

Watching the exhaust fumes from their departing car, Thora stood there, her mind racing.

Lyra tugged at her clothes. "Thora, don't be fooled. Everything I said is true..."

Thora said impatiently, "Shut up, you idiot!"

Lyra reluctantly closed her mouth.

It seemed Thora was unreliable. She still needed to find Rex.

Bright Heal Hospital.

Paloma's room was decorated very warmly. Juniper came every day to change the flowers.

After Juniper somewhat hesitantly explained her purpose, Paloma put down the paper she was reading, looking thoughtful.

"Of course you should attend the wedding banquet. Your grandfather is also in this hospital? Take me to see him. As a younger generation, I should visit my elders."

Juniper quickly agreed and pushed Paloma's wheelchair to Felix's room.

Seeing her, Felix immediately sat up from the hospital bed!

"Paloma... I'm grateful you're willing to come see me."

Paloma smiled gently. "Mr. Howard, what happened in the past wasn't your fault. Juniper told me that the Howard family feels they wronged me. Please don't think that way!"

What happened in the past wasn't the Harrison family's fault, nor was it the Howard family's fault. If anything, it was just that she and Evander weren't meant to be!

These past days, Paloma had seen Evander.

Youth had faded, years had aged them, and the young man from the past had become a weathered middle-aged man. She suddenly felt at peace.

"Evander and I weren't meant to be, but we've agreed to raise Juniper together. If anyone should apologize, it's us who should apologize to Juniper."

"As for other matters, let fate decide."

Felix nodded with tears in his eyes. "Good, I'm so glad you can think this way."

Seeing Paloma fulfilled one of Felix's wishes!

He murmured, "Back then, the Howard family chose the wrong side. That's what hurt you all..."

Arabella frowned. "Nonsense. Owen chose the right side, and did that save him from trouble?"

Felix just felt that if the Howard family had sided with Franklin's camp back then, maybe they wouldn't have suffered so much for offending them.

The Harrison family had plenty of hardships too. Siding with Franklin didn't bring them any benefits either.
Thinking this way, Felix felt somewhat relieved.

"Paloma, come to Catherine and Alexander's engagement party too."

"Alright, I'll attend with Juniper. I'll also visit the Windsor family while I'm at it."

She had been recovering and hadn't had time to see Aurora and Brandon.

She needed to thank them for raising such a wonderful and well-behaved Juniper.
Felix nodded contentedly.

Alexander handed him the medicine box and explained the side effects Catherine had mentioned.

"Enough with the fussing. I'm so old now, even if I died it would be a good thing. These side effects are nothing."

Everyone in the room fell silent, feeling heavy-hearted.

Arabella blinked, holding back her tears and the ache in her heart.

"I'm going out for a bit. Don't wait for me for dinner."

Yasmin asked worriedly, "Where are you going? Should I come with you?"

"No need. I have some things to take care of."

Philip Law Firm.

The mountain of files was giving Philip a headache.

His assistant said, "Mr. Windsor, Sloane underwent a psychiatric evaluation. The doctor says she seems fine."

Philip felt troubled. He had promised Charles he would help, and if he got stuck at the first step, he'd have no face to see anyone.

Emma, sitting on the sofa chewing bubble gum, snapped her fingers.

"I have a solution. Mr. Windsor, let's make a bet."

"If I win, you go on a date with me."

Philip nearly fell off his chair in shock.
