Bella's POV.
"W…who is there?" I forced my sharp claws out of my fingers to defend myself because I was tired of always playing the damsel in distress all the time.
The shadows dancing beneath the door paused, as though whoever was there was giving attention to me.
"I will rip out your heart if you dare come into this room." I braved myself, ready to attack.
suddenly my breathing became calmer, my heartbeat and pulse slowed down in a pleasant way, and my reality distanced itself away from me as I dazed off in yet another trance.
Not again, moon goddess, I cringed my eyes shut to try and stop it... but I was too late to try to control anything as my facial expressions relaxed with my mouth slightly opening up in the process and that's when I knew that I could not stop the inevitable… I was going back in trance and I dreaded the timing of it because for all I know there could be a dangerous rogue roaming on the other side of the door.
My entire body became deeply relaxed with involuntary muscle movements and twitches. Not for the second time again, I sighed heavily, as my body drifted out of my body... this is how I felt by the way.
Jacob!!! I moaned out his name in a low voice as this was the last thing on my mind before the light switched off in my mind. A sensation of pain reduced, and muscles loosened and relaxed… it was like I was dreaming without sleeping but still connected to myself…
Seconds later, the lights came back on and my vision was like that of a person who was immersed in water as my vision was severely blurred, but sooner readjusted itself as though I was a creature of the water.
What I'm I doing here? My legs moved like I'm in a swimming motion, and my eyes widened with excitement because, for the first time in my life, I could swim without drowning… Oh my goodness, I'm I dreaming? I became so excited at that moment that I forgot about going into trance, ruling out that maybe I was in trance instead of real water.
I glanced at my clawed hands, and they had disappeared only to be replaced with webbed hands, like those of a duck's feet.
oh my goddess, why do I have this? I gasped in a gulp of water as I was caught off guard by my hands' appearance. then an alluring voice resonated in the water's waves like a sonic raider...
where is that coming from? I veered around only to catch a glimpse of a family of whales swimming calmy at a distance.
This is beautiful, I started swimming in their direction.
Beautiful different kinds of fish species swam past me and the scenery was breathtakingly beautiful to describe in two words. If you are an underwater diver, then you can attest to this description of the beautiful deep blue seawater.
But where was I exactly? And why did I feel like I belonged to the sea… I'm a wolf who could not swim a few minutes ago, but all that changed because I could swim without panic or drowning.
Do not blame me for making this a great big deal, but just allow me to enjoy the moment. I swam further underwater and I caught a glimpse of shipwrecks, ancient artifacts, and a sunken city that looked very much alive as mermaids and merman swam merrily without a care of a wolf swimming towards them.
is it that they can't see me? I peeked at what I thought were feet but was stunned when I saw a green tall' fin lingering in the water.
I'm a freaking mermaid, my heart thumped wildly for a moment. how in the goddess's name change from wolf to a mermaid? I glanced around to see if anyone noticed my strange behavior.
keep calm Bella, just swim as you belong. I casually flipped my tail fin in their direction to investigate more.
Could it be that they can not smell the dog in me? I darted around at how happy everyone seemed at that moment and reminded me of the little happiness I had with Jacob when I first arrived at the village... suddenly, a force of wave gently pushed me forward. I looked around and there was a merman in my sight.

'You are welcome to the of pavlopetri city. My name is Star Coral. The queen has been awaiting your arrival.' a pale blue merman abruptly spooked me as he skillfully swam in front of me. He communicated to me without opening his mouth like someone's mind linking to their pack member.
He is a merman and is talking to me as though I was part of their clan. What is going on? My heart hammered against my chest as fear crept within me.
'I can hear your thoughts Bella, but I will spare the explanations for the queen herself...This way please,' he tugged me on my arm and led me to a bigger than Jacob's mansion and all the guards seemed too relaxed for a wolf swimming in their territory... my mind was too blown out with amusement to resist and question where he was taking me to.
minutes later we came to a stop when a woman who carried herself like Queen showed herself to me,
'Hello my dear beautiful girl, how I have waited for this day.' she also mind-linked to me as though I was in her pack. She was a stunningly beautiful and attractive mermaid with long, brunette hair tied in a partial ponytail, green eyes, and an aqua tail. She swam closer to me and gently grazed her hand on my face. I was dazed by her eyes because they looked like a person I once knew in my life.
Her presence felt so loving and nurturing as that of a parent… and her face looked familiar, but where did I see her from?
'Hey, who are you?' my frightened posture relaxed with her soothing voice.
'I'm queen Zita the fourth of pavlopetri. Welcome to my city. I have waited years for you to come home…" her kind beautiful green eyes beamed as she spoke to me.
who was she and what did she want from me?
" I know I have many questions to answer but I do not have enough time to do so right now. just know that I will answer all the questions in your mind.' Her voice stopped midway as the light went off. It was dark all around me once again and I dreaded the feeling of finding myself in another location.
"Bella, don't do it" a loud familiar growl, growled out loud causing me to stumble dangerously on the ledge of the devil's pond I unknowingly positioned myself... It clicked in me that I was in trance all this time until I trance-walked out here by myself.
I darted at where the voice was projecting from and it was Jacob desperately stretching out his hand towards me as though he was trying to derail me from the danger which lay ahead of me.
I glanced back at where I was standing, and my right foot was hanging loosely in the air, and below it was the devil's pond waiting to receive me with its open wide mouth.
How did I get here? I made an effort to pull back my leg out of danger but something quickly tugged my leg from the water and I plunged into the pond, gulping a mouthful of water, I began to panic… how can I explain it without exaggerating the moment…
Well, Panic can sometimes feel like you are physically suffocating. Because your mind and body are so closely connected, anxiety causes physical sensations, including chest tightness, a racing heart, stomachaches, and headaches… Now worse off, I was once again in the water dreading death because I just realized that I was in a trance when I swam perfectly.
"Help!!!" I went underwater and gulped another mouthful of water and then I discovered that the water was not getting into my lungs.
I slowed down my fidgeting movements and looked around the clear water I could not believe that I was breathing properly underwater and I could hear little pond creatures talking amongst themselves… I wavered in the same spot looking amazed at the fact that I could swim and breathe underwater.
How is this possible???
Suddenly, Jacob plunged into the water causing a huge splash, and quickly tugged me out of the water.
"Kitten, are you okay?" He raised a question with a pale face…he caressed my body so lovingly, I felt so cared for at that moment. I looked at him and his chest was visibly moving up and down while gasping for air.
"Babe, are you okay?" I stopped his frantic hands and gently grazed my fingers on his face rubbing off the excess water dripping from his hair. my eyes plunged further down to his sexy naked body that called to my wolf at that moment. I was still dressed in my emerald green silky pajamas which clung to my body because of the water.
I could count the number of times we had sex on one hand in the last two months and this was due to my strange disease which had no cure and always kept me and my Alpha busy with other things.
"kitten I'm fine, it's you I'm worried about. how did you find yourself here?" He softened his gaze.
"I must have been in a trance." I declared after skimming through the environment I was in.
"I told you to lock yourself in your room, how did you get out?" he darted at me with steady eye contact.
"I don't know how I did it, babe."
"Please don't you ever do that again, you scared me to death?" He gently yanked me by my head and pressed his lips against mine, kissing me so desperately as if he wanted to swallow me whole.
Seconds later, we broke off the kiss with heavy shuddering breathing and that was when I remembered for the first time what I saw in my trance as flashes of images came flooding into my mind.
"Babe, I remember what I saw in my trance."
"What did you see!" Jacob darted at me with a serious face, eagerly waiting to hear what I had to say next…
