Alpha Zach's POV.
"Alpha, we respect you, but we need to know when your Luna will give us an heir?" Epsilon Avram said reminding me of the fact that it's been over two months since I marked crystal yet she had not yet taken in with child even though I sexed her every single miserable day of mine.
I hated her, she was disgusting, and everything about her pushed me away from her, she was like a nauseating feeling that would never go away no matter how much I tried, all I wanted was my true mate Bella, but how would I get her back to the pack?
I was ready to reject Crystal for my true love if she had to return… but how was I going to do so without waging war on Alpha Jacob Shepard of the midnight pack.
His pack was bigger and stronger in all ways possible and he would easily defeat me should I attempt to make such a stupid hasty decision.
But how was I going to retrieve my Bella from that thief? My thoughts lingered while the elders barked at one another about the reason why crystal my stupid mate had not yet shown signs of pregnancy.
The once bright and beautiful mansion had turned cold and everything just reminded me of crystal's disgusting self. I hated her and there were no words to explain how I felt.
Moon goddess, what did I do in my previous life that I'm now living a life or torment? I darted at the three elders talking inaudibly. I only heard the first statement one of them brought to the table. I straddled the chair while puffing cigar smoke out of my mouth.
I did not care about the elder's chatter because deep down I never wanted any pup from crystal but from my true mate Bella. My teeth gritted.
"Alpha, you can not keep on ignoring us"
"Yes, we need to see results from the Luna"
"Don't force us to replace your Luna"
I peeked at the elder who spoke the last words with a glinting stare because I was in agreement with his statement.
Yes, please, I will gladly replace that useless bitch with my real mate. But how was I going to do so without waging war on the midnight pack…
"Alpha and another concern are that the rogues attacked the west side of the village last night." Epsilon Bogdi, the only wise amongst the elders said something that gave me a great idea to retrieve my Bella.
Use the mother fucking rogues Zach. They are loyal sons of bitches who will never snitch on me if they are caught in the act. A mischievous smirk curled up on my lips while I darted at the elders.
"Excuse me, elders, I have other matters to attend to." I quickly jerked up from the chair and sauntered out of my office, leaving the three elders astonished by my actions that left them speechless.
I walked out of the office with the intent to meet the rogues in the dark forest and strike a deal with them. They were dangerous but when it came to business, they were very welcoming to any new temporary master.
But just as I was about to leave, crystal and her nagging self hesitantly walked closer to me with a tray of food in her hands. I glanced at her once and that was enough to ruin the rest of my day. I pulled a face with a scowl.
"Honey, please have some food, I have noticed that you have not eaten anything for the past two days." Her voice sent disgusting shivers down my spine.
I looked at her with an angry stare without answering her foolish statement.
I had not eaten her food for two days but that did not mean that I was starving myself.
I used to go hunting and feast on whatever I caught… and I enjoyed it better than her food.
"Alpha, please eat something, you need your strength to run the pack." She evaded my hot stare with hooded eyes.
The once jumpy, happy, bullish, and showoff crystal had changed to a timid bitch who feared my every growling command.
"What is this?" I got a chuck handful of the food and threw it to crystal's face while I huffed and puffed with red eyes.
She stumbled dangerously backward and I did not care.
"It's your food." She whimpered, with her lips quivering
"Get this disgusting food out of my face." I pushed the tray of food away from me with my arm, causing the plate to shutter on the floor into small pieces of glass. I preferred Bella to come and cook me up a meal, I huffed and puffed then I morphed into my pure white wolf and ran off to the dark to go and recruit a few rogues to retrieve my Bella back to me.
Everything crystal did irritated me to the core without reason because all I wanted was my fated mate Bella wood but she was long gone… but not for long a mischievous smirk crossed my face while my paws thudded heavily on the ground.
A few minutes later, I roamed aimlessly wondering where the rogues were hiding. They used to hide whenever they sensed the presence of any Alpha because they knew it was either the Alpha that brought destruction or business, but they had to wait in their hideout location until the said Alpha stated its business clearly.
I morphed back to my human fork, with my chest sticking out and chin held high. "Alexander, come out, I bring good business for you." I turned 360° looking out for any rogue.
Alexander was the oldest wolf in the dark forest whom most of the rogues feared and respected greatly, without question.
Some say he is a demon because all rogues were uncontrollable because of their roguish behavior but for Alexander, he ruled over all the rogues in the dark forest easily.
For me, I just think it's because he was the first and only remaining elder rogue present in the forest.
"Alpha Zach, you are a long way from home." A loud familiar snarl projected out of the dark green bushes. It was Alexander's voice but he was hesitant to step out in the open, for reasons best known to himself.
"Alexander, old friend, I bring good business for you."
"What business can a kid Alpha bring for me?" His voice projected out.
"First, come out in the open and I will gladly tell you what I have come to ask of you," I said while my heart thumped wildly with fright because in as much as this was a great idea, I was outnumbered by the many rogues in the forest should they decide to attack me.
I could sense their presence while I gave attention to their loud snarls all around me.
Fuck, Zach, this was a dumb idea. A cold sweat dripped on my shoulders while more beads of sweat formed on my forehead.
Seconds later, Alexander, finally walked out fully clothed with a pair of dirty old worn-out shorts and tossed them to me…
"Put some clothes on, nobody wants to see your dangling snake in between your legs." He said with a smirk.
I caught the shorts and hurriedly dressed up, covering my snake as he called it.
"So tell me, Alpha Zach, what business do you bring for us?" He darted at me with unblinking focused eye contact… and I understood his pride and dominance because this was his tuff.
"I want you to retrieve for me something so dear to my heart"
"And what is that something special?"
"Alpha Jacob Shepard stole my fated mate Bella wood and I want her back."
"But I thought you were mated to another mate?" He looked at me with a quizzically stern poise.
"She is not my true mate, but Bella wood is." I snapped angrily.
"Okay, Alpha Zach, cool down… now tell me how much are you willing to pay for her return?"
"Mention your price," I growled animalistic.
"five million new Romania lue," he replied.
"Ten million New Romania Lue." I gave him a better offer so that he could do a clean job without any mistakes. I wanted my Bella back at any cost.
"Wow, why such a hefty price for just one simple mate, isn't she John wood's Omega girl?"
I growled with yellowish glowing eyes." do you want the contract or maybe I should give it to someone willing to work and not ask questions." My face contorted showing off my sharp fangs protruding from my gums.
I was not going to take it if he was going to talk crap about my Bella.
"Okay, my apologies." He raised both arms in surrender. "Fine, I accept your generous offer" he smirked triumphantly because I offered an exaggerated amount of money just for one head to be returned to me safely of course.
"When do I expect results from you?"
"Give us a day or two, and I will bring back your mate." He said then quickly vanished into the dark shadows of the forest without waiting for anything else.
Finally, I was going to see my Bella after forty-eight hours. A splitting grin radiated on my face while I unhurriedly strolled back home.
