Alpha Jacob's POV.
Hours later, I rubbed my sweaty palms together, thinking about Bella, will she agree to meet me or maybe she has made up her mind to leave my pack because of the misfortune incident earlier?
I paced back and forth while loosening the bowtie wrapped around my neck.
The time I had been waiting for had finally come, to initiate Bella wood as my second chance mate chosen by the moon goddess herself.
Dressed in a matching black tax and shoes, I felt suffocated in it because I could not breathe properly.
I glanced up at the stairs and she was nowhere in sight.
Maybe I should go upstairs and pick her up from her room. I peeked at my watch and it was almost midnight.
Bella, where are you? We can not afford to miss the auspicious hour at twelve o'clock midnight when the full moon is at its peak. I hesitantly stepped on the first step to the staircase and tensed, withholding myself back from going to her room.
She will be out, I know it. I sighed heavily while cupping my lips together.
Beads of sweat formed on my forehead, while I paled dramatically. I yanked out my handkerchief and wiped off the sweat.
She won't come out…my body began to tremble uncontrollably.
What if she has left for her home? My goodness, I will be the laughingstock of the region for the rest of my life.
No, let me go check on her…I veered around to face the staircase and low and behold, Bella wood was posed confidently up the staircase.
Wow, Her sweet scent then hit me and I gulped with my eyes widened whilst excitement rushed all through my body. This beauty is all mine?
She looked ethereal in the red dress I picked up for her.
With her chin and head held high, she descended gracefully like the Queen she is.

She took my breath away and I could not fully explain how I felt at that moment, but I was sure glad that she did not decide to leave me to die of loneliness.
A minute later, she was about to take the last step when her leg gave away and she slipped.
I acted first, sticking my hand out and grabbing her waist before slipping my hand under her legs to prevent her from falling.
She automatically wrapped her arms around my neck as I carried her bridal style and our hearts raced in sync as one while I stared into her beautiful eyes.

"Oh, clear that smile on your face." She summed up with her chin held high and shoulders backward. "Let's get this over with." She declared while tidying up her stunning dress.
Wow, this one is too feisty for a little Omega that I met a few days ago. I smirked triumphantly because she had the potential to be a great Luna
"As you wish my lady," I answered jokingly then put out my hand for her to clasp but she did not do that.
"And that?" she raised her well perfectly groomed eyebrow at me.

I chuckled amusingly while grazing my palm against my mouth. "Look, Bella, I know you hate me…but I'm kindly asking if we can both walk in together hand in hand to show unity amongst the two of us, just for the night," I said to her because it was part of an old age tradition of any given Alpha to walk into the blood bond initiation ceremony hand in hand with his new Luna.
She sighed softly with serious boldface. "Fine, is there anything else I need to know before I walk out there?" she raised a question.
"No, that will be all for now," I answered back with a splitting grin across my face because that was not all...
We needed to share the kiss of blood and I'm sure she will be pissed during the initial blood Bond initiation ceremony when she finds out we have to share a kiss during the whole process to cement the Alpha, luna bond.
"Shall we? The auspicious time is fast approaching." I let out a naughty smirk and chuckled internally while evading her enraged stare.
I wonder if she will agree to a kiss of Luna.
She hesitantly slid her hand into my arm and walked confidently next to me.
I'm sorry Avery, but as much as I loved you, I need to move on with my second chance mate…it was the goddess's will and not mine. So who was I to say no to her will…
We got to the garden and it was adequately decorated with almost a thousand people, waiting to meet their new Luna.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, the auspicious hour is fast approaching so can you please help me welcome Alpha Jacob Shepard and his Luna, Bella Wood from the moonstone pack." Gamma Nick made an announcement for everyone in the garden to turn their engaged attention toward us.
All beaming scornful eyes turned to us with loud cheering and howling.
I sighed internally because I hated to be shown off in the spotlight, at any given time.
Suddenly, Bella's hold tightened and I could sense her uneasiness around all these foreigners for her meeting for the first time...
"I'm here Bella." I glanced at her with a soft reassuring gaze…and she smiled back.
There you go, she is slowly tumbling her wall for you to gain access to her heart once again. I heaved a sigh of solace.
"Alpha, it's time" Nick whispered to me and the bright spotlight turned on us.
Bella quickly put up her hand to shield her eyes from it and looked at me worriedly.
"What is going on?" She inquired in a soft voice while her eyes teared up.
"Do you trust me?" I raised a question quickly.
"Yes, no, maybe." She answered back at once with color draining from her face.
"I'm going to kiss you now and bite your tongue to mix our blood together." I glanced at Nick who was frantically pointing to his watch, telling me that time was not on our side.
I bobbed my head in agreement after catching a glimpse of the huge clock mounted on the wall…it was now or never. The full moon was upon us and all pack members were gaily howling out loud.
I glanced at Bella's pale face, and I knew I needed to do what was needed to be done quickly before she changed her mind,
I bite the tip of my tongue, pressed my lips on hers, and slid my tongue and fangs into hers…I then slightly bit off the tip of the tongue and sucked her blood into my mouth... This pleasurable sensation sent delighted tingles to my core.
Bella returned the same intensity of the passionate kiss we shared, and the whole world faded away.
My wolf and I howled merrily internally because I had done the most unbelievable thing I vowed never to do after the death of Avery…and that was to kiss another woman. I broke off the kiss and merrily howled out loud with the rest of my pack members until a certain familiar voice disrupted the ceremony.
"I object to this union." Her voice projected out loud causing everyone to stop howling and veered around their attention to where the voice projection came from…
