Bella's POV.
The pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in the night sky... I looked up at the blanket of stars that stretched to infinity and the occasional howling of faraway wolves broke the silence of the night as I presumed that the rogues were not caught by Alpha Jacob's Betas.
"Hey mom, hey daddy!" Crystal strolled happily towards her mother Diana and grazed her lips on her cheek and let out a slight smile. "Mom, what is going on here? Who are these people and what do they want?... wait a minute, did little Miss perfect Bella run into trouble this time around?" She questioned with her breasts sticking out like a pair of unripe mangoes while she scrutinized me, Alpha Jacob, and his Beta with a frown… but before Diana could answer her daughter's unending questions, Zach spoke out.
"Alpha Jacob, I didn't know you were within the village. What brought you here?" Zach accidentally dropped his car keys to the ground because of his clumsy fingers and instantly caught a glimpse of the money in the briefcase when he dropped his gaze toward the floor.
He swallowed hard as he hesitantly arched his back and picked up the keys while I presumed he was caught off guard by Alpha Jacob's unannounced presence in the village... He stepped closer to us with an intense stare…while my heart raced energetically.
Keep it together Bella. My eyes went back and forth peeking at both Alphas… One, I rejected him and the other accepted me, despite being an omega.
"Eh, why is another Alpha in our village?" Crystal whispered to her mother Diana who glanced at me with a frown, then wrinkled her nose.
This bitch is tempting me to react to her silly moves...Keep it together Bella and remember that you are a Luna too so I can take her any day with her useless daughter of hers. I sighed merrily with my chin held high and an evil smirk radiated on my face.
Diana and her daughter crystal, pulled their faces at mine as though I was shit in the toilet.
Try me big sister and I will shock you today. This is my Alpha Jacob and he will fight your stupid Alpha should he try something silly. I let out a naughty grin and their silly faces disappeared instantly.
For the first time, I was ready to face my enemies head-on without fear because I was now the new Luna of the midnight pack... As soon as the final initiation was done.
"Good evening Alpha Zach, my visit was short notice as I'm only here to collect my mate Bella and we will be on our way home." Jacob eyeballed his fellow Alpha and the tension in the air instantly became so hostile as everyone become high alert.
"What!, How can an omega be mated to an Alpha?" Crystal blurted out loud then walked back to her man's side and clasped his arm to try and get me to react…
Why is she forgetting that I was once fated with her so-called mate before I rejected him? I rolled my eyes with a silly smirk across my face…she is lucky I rejected his sorry ass. After all, I could have made her life a living hell because I knew deep down in my heart that Zach's wolf desperately desired me as its true fated mate.
But boy was she wrong because I Bella wood did not give a hoot about a stupid egotist selfish Alpha who wanted to keep me only as his side piece.
Smh…I sneered.
Crystal furrowed her brows at me and my new boo Alpha Jacob.
Pa broke a sweat on his face with a pale mug…I'm sure he was worried about the two Alpha going head to head at his home, hence he stepped closer to both of them, while the pretty lady morphed into her wolf and growled out loud then more yellowish glistening eyes emerged in the dark shadows as their lingered in silence waiting for there Alpha signal.
Zach glanced around and noticed that he was outnumbered by a lot of wolves should he try something stupid at that moment? His mucho man's chest then deflated immediately as he grasped for air.
