Chapter 69 Chapter 69
The minutes kept passing, and the muffled sound of voices began to fill the hallway outside. With every distant whisper, my stomach gave a little jolt — like a butterfly with a panic disorder had taken up residence inside me.

The wedding coordinator opened the door just enough to peek in.
"Guests are already arriving and starting to take their seats," he informed me in that overly calm voice, as if I weren’t on the verge of a cardiac arrest.

I nodded, even though my fingers were gripping the bouquet so tightly my knuckles had turned white. Through the crack of the door, I could hear chairs scraping, quiet giggles, heels clicking on polished floors… the typical organized chaos of a wedding about to begin.

I tried to take a deep breath, but it came out shaky. My hands were cold, my chest felt tight, and my legs bounced involuntarily as if they were trying to escape from under the dress.
"Relax. It’s just your wedding. Nothing major…", I thought — and almost laughed nervously.

The clock on the wall marked another minute. And another. The guests kept taking their seats, murmuring among themselves, eager to see the big moment. And there I was, standing still, holding my bouquet like it was both an anchor and a weapon.
