The Visitors
“The blood moon will happen in two weeks! Where's your mate?” the alpha's tone sounds mad.
“I'm still working on it, father.” Justin replied while facing the floor.
“I told you to choose a mate from our pack!” The alpha even looks angrier now.
“I can't do that anymore. I already found a mate!” Justin insisted with a quiet voice.
“I'll give you one more week but after that, I'll choose a mate for you!” The alpha decides and leaves.
Justin's father is not a very patient werewolf. His word is their law and he knows that he needs to do something. Unfortunately, he can't even come close to Arabelle because of the vampire. How can he claim his mate if there's an undead guarding her? He feels wronged since he can't seem to get what he wants. Looking for a mate is not an easy task. He doesn't even like any shewolves from their pack. All of them are not even appealing.
The only perfect mate for him must be Arabelle. Her beauty is the best look of a Luna. Maybe she will be a great homemaker. The vampire's castle looks so neat thanks to her. Although he's not sure if she can cook since her boss doesn’t eat anyway. Whatever! He can ask the other shewolves to cook for them. When he becomes the new alpha, he will make sure that he will never have to lift a finger again. The betas should follow his orders.
“Hey, Justin. I heard you run so fast when you heard the vampire's voice.” Clyde teased, he's another candidate to become the new alpha so he's cocky.
“You heard wrong, Clyde! In fact, I'll go back there tonight.” He replied and suddenly boasted.
“Whoa, that I've got to see! Bring me with you then. Maybe I can just take your mate.” Clyde challenged him.
“Don't talk to my mate like that! Let's meet later on the old tree by midnight.” he can't back out now.
“Sure, let's bring the boys so we have witnesses.” Clyde agrees and leaves him alone for now.
He wanted to kill himself! Why did he agree on Clyde's challenge? He always gets to him by teasing him that he can't do this or that. It's tiring to be the son of an alpha. Why can't he seem to do what an alpha could do? He can't help but to think that he might be a beta or worse, an omega. Even as a cub, he was already training to be the next alpha of the pack. However, he can't even compete with Clyde because he always wins with anything.
Maybe tonight is the right time to prove to himself that he should be the new alpha. He will go to the vampire's castle with Clyde and he will try his best not to be scared. This time, he's planning on taking Arabelle with him and marking her to become his mate. He remembers that he saw another door in the middle of the ballroom. Maybe that's her bedroom. He smiles, convinced that he has an advantage over Clyde. He’s planning on winning tonight.

Ralph observes Lily closely as she teaches Arabelle on how to read the chants from a spell. They were able to convince her to join them on their trip. Although he didn't tell her the real reason they needed to go to the island. He just made it sound like an adventure. Then Arabelle told her she wanted to learn witchcraft. They already talked about it before she went to meet with Lily. Although she seems to look like a friend, they still need to be careful.
Lily seems to have bought it all but she will never let anyone read her. She knows that vampires can read minds but she learns how to distract them. Whenever Ralph stares at her, she just thinks about innocent thoughts. She got that ability from the old lady she took an essence from before. Whenever she sees the ability she likes, she offers them anything they want. Little did they know, she will decide when it's time for them to pay her. She takes their essence as a payment because it's more valuable.
“Can we take a break? I'm a little tired.” Arabelle suggested since her throat feels dry already.
“Sure we can! Sorry, I got carried away. It's the first time a friend wants to be a witch.” Lily replied with a smile.
“Let's have something to drink in the kitchen!” Arabelle signals her to follow.
“Okay. Ralph, how about you? Oops, sorry you don't drink other stuff.” Lily tries to be funny.
“That's fine. Go ahead, I have other things to do.” Ralph replied as if offended.
When the two of them are finally in the kitchen, Arabelle takes the pitcher of iced tea she prepared earlier. She offered Lily a glass and she gladly accepted it. They both take a sip from their glasses at the same time. Lily didn't notice that Arabelle was also observing her. She's too preoccupied with the vampire. The old witches said that he looks like an ugly monster but they're all wrong.
He's a very handsome vampire! Especially when he's a little mad like earlier. She specifically pointed out that he only drinks one thing. Although she didn't say the word blood, he still seems to get offended. Maybe that's why Arabelle chooses to stay even though she knows that her boss is a vampire. Unexpectedly, they saw two werewolves running towards them from an open window.
