Chapter 54 - Blessed with Two Mates

I heard a frustrated growl as I walked inside my room. I open the door just as a shoe passes centimeters from my face and hits the wall.

“Oh goddess, Xavier I’m sorry” Kiera says and waddles towards me, taking my face in her hands and looking me over.

“I’m okay little bird. It missed me”, I chuckled and leaned down to grab her shoe.

“Now, do you want to tell me why you threw your shoe across the room?” I asked her and she growled lowly.

“I can’t put them on” she mumbled lowly. I suppressed a smile, knowing this was a sensitive subject for her. Her belly had grown these past few weeks. Last night, Benny found Kiera in the shower crying. She told him that she was so fat that she couldn’t even shave her legs. Benny kissed her lips and reminded her that she was carrying two pups and that she looked breathtaking with our pups in her belly. He then helped her shave her legs.

Around the castle she wears flip flops, but since we have a doctor’s appointment she has to wear something other than flip flops. I kissed the top of her head and guided her to the bed. She sits down and I help her put on her boots. When her shoes are on, we head downstairs. We walked to the dining room and I saw Benny playing with Emma, who was laughing and squealing. I watched Kiera smile softly and place a hand on her belly. I wrapped one of my arms around her and placed the other over her belly.

“He’s going to be a great dad” I said, placing my chin on top of her head.

“You both will. I saw you with Emma and the other pups yesterday. Benny said the same thing about you”, Kiera smiled.

“Aunty!” Emma squealed, making Kiera smile wider. Benny put Emma down and she ran towards Kiera before gently placing her little hand on Kiera’s belly before kissing it.

“Are you both ready?” Benny asked, feeling excited that we get to hear and see our pups for the first time since we found out Kiera was pregnant with our pups.

“Yes, we should head out. I don’t want to be late”, Kiera said. Benny picked Emma up and took her to where the other kids were before coming back to us. We headed out to the pack clinic. When we entered, Doctor Anna smiled at us.

“Good morning your highnesses, Royal Gamma Benny”, Doctor Anna bowed her head to us in respect.

“Good morning Doctor Anna”, the three of us said at the same time.

“Are you ready?” Doctor Anna asked Kiera and Kiera nodded.

“Great! Follow me”, Doctor Anna smiled. We followed her to the royal room. I helped Kiera take off her coat.

“Go ahead and sit up here and lay back” Doctor Anna instructed, patting the hospital bed. Kiera did as she was asked.

“Could you pull your pants down some and lift your shirt just below your breasts?” Doctor Anna asked and Kiera nodded. I helped her pull her maternity pants to her thighs. Doctor Anna gave us a blanket to cover Kiera’s lower half. Kiera pulled her maternity blouse just below her breast, exposing her belly. Benny reached out and gently rubbed her belly. Kiera groaned a bit when the babies moved.

“This is going to be cold”, Doctor Anna warned, before putting some gel on Kiera’s tummy. She then grabbed a probe and pressed it on Kiera’s belly before moving it around. The room filled up with the sound of a fast heartbeat.

“There is baby A. Heartbeat is strong and healthy” Doctor Anna said.

“Here is the head, legs, and arms. Would you like to know the sex?” Doctor Anna asked. Kiera looked at Benny and me. We both nodded our heads and Kiera did as well. She then moved the probe some more and clicked something on the computer.

“Baby A is a boy” Doctor Anna said excitedly. She then moved the probe again and there was another heartbeat.

“There is baby B. The heartbeat is strong and healthy as well. The baby seems to be half hiding behind baby A, but here is the head, an arm, and the legs” Doctor Anna said. She pressed the probe a bit more, which made the baby move and she smiled.

“Baby B is a boy”, Doctor Ann grinned.

“Come gratulations your highnesses, Royal Gamma. You’re all having boys. I’m going to go get your pictures”, Doctor Anna smiled before leaving. Benny grabbed some paper towel and I turned to see Kiera still looking at the still picture. There were tears running down her cheeks.

“Are you okay little bird?” I asked her. Kiera looked at me as Benny cleaned her off and pulled up her maternity pants.

“Boys. Those are our boys” Kiera said softly. I smiled and kissed the top of her head.

“Yes, they are our boys” I said. Doctor Anna came back with the pictures.

“Here are the pictures and a new appointment. Since you are pregnant with twins and you have one more month to go. I would like to see you once a week”, Doctor Anna said.

“Okay”, Kiera smiled and took the pictures and the new appointment. I grabbed her coat and helped her put it on. During the whole walk back she was looking at the pictures then passed it to us. In a month our pups will be here. Benny and I had a lot of work to do, but I’m glad I have such a wonderful family. I know they would love to help us. Benny and I want to have the nursery ready by or before Christmas. As we finally arrived inside the castle, I helped Kiera take off her boots and she wore her flip flops. Benny took off her coat and Kiera headed straight to the kitchen. We gave the Omegas the day off so they could spend with their families. Nana Yashira, grandma River, mom, Monica, Kesha, Jennifer, Lola, and Jaquelin were in the kitchen preparing thanksgiving dinner. They were making a lot of food for everyone in the castle, for our warriors who are going to be on duty, our family and who ever decides to join us.

“Oh, how did everything go?” mom asked as she turned to us. Benny and I grin. Kesha comes forward and gives Benny a foam cup with a lid. He needed to feed and in the cup was my blood. Usually he feeds from me, but sometimes he just drinks from a foam cup.

“We’re having boys”, I grinned and the women squealed and clapped their hands. Kesha then grabs a plate from the fridge and hands it to Kiera. Kiera’s eyes lit up. She loves her pancakes and bacon. Kiera sat on the bar stool and began to dig into her food. I grabbed a cup of coffee and watched the women cook and move around the room as they talked about baby stuff. Kiera finished her food and washed her dishes. Kiera then put on an apron and began to help cook with the women.

“Why don’t you boys go spend some time together while us females finish up here. Dinner is at six sharp” mom said.

“Yes, ma’am”, I said and kissed her cheek, then kissed my mate on the lips. I then walked out with Benny and went to my office. I closed the door behind me and I looked at Benny who was bouncing up and down. I can feel how excited he is.

“Come on, let’s look at some stuff for the nursery” I said with a chuckle. He sits beside me and we begin to look at paints, cribs, strollers, changing tables, clothes, car seats, bottles, a rocking chair for Kiera, etc. By the time we decide on everything, it is five in the afternoon.

“I have to go check the borders. You go get ready for dinner”, Benny said, then kissed my lips before leaving the office. The relationship between Benny, Kiera, and I has grown stronger and stronger by the day. I love them both equally and I know they feel the same way. I can feel it through our bond. Our wedding will happen after Kiera gives birth. Our family, along with the pack, will be helping Kiera with the wedding.

I leave my office and head up to my room. I took on black slacks and a long purple sleeve button down shirt. I grabbed my underwear and went to the bathroom. I took a shower and washed my hair. Once I finished showering, I turned off the shower and towel dried myself. I wore my boxers briefs, then headed out, to the room just as the bedroom door opened and Benny walked in. He looks at me and his eyes glow a bright emerald green, then flash red.

“If we weren’t so short in time I would ask you to take me” he growled seductively.

“We still can after dinner” I winked at him, making him grin. He kissed my lips then hurried to the bathroom. I finished getting dressed and brushed my hair. Benny comes out of the bathroom and walks to the walk in closet and quickly gets dressed. He decides to wear black slacks and a long black sleeved button down shirt. He rolls his sleeves just below his elbows. He runs his hand through his hair, giving him a messy yet sexy look. We headed out of the room and down the stairs. When we got to the dining room, I was shocked to see how it was decorated and the food. It was also packed. There’s our original table and a few more added tables. Everyone stands as we arrive, including our mate. She looked beautiful wearing a spaghetti strap butterfly print dress that reached the floor. Her hair is straightened in a high ponytail. She looked like she was glowing.

“Please, have a seat everyone” I said, then went to Kiera and kissed her lips.

“You look beautiful, my love” I said, making her blush even more. The Omegas came out and placed plates in front of everyone. Then I realized there was another table where the Omegas sat. I couldn’t help but smile as the Omegas looked at my mate and smiled at her. I knew this was her doing along with my family. Kiera stands and smiles at everyone as they quiet down.

“For many years it was just my grandmother, my aunt, my mother, my sister, dad, and me. Things changed until it was just my grandmother, mom, dad, and me. I was always thankful for having my parents and grandma with me, but this year has been a crazy year, but even as crazy as it has been, I wouldn’t change anything that has happened…” Kiera takes a deep breath and looks at her father, then at Benny and me.

“I’m thankful for having my parents in my life. I’m thankful for my loving mates and our pups,, but most of all, I’m thankful for having a pack- no a family like you all. Without you all, along with our allies, we wouldn’t be having this wonderful dinner. Thank you all and I love you all” Kiera said as a tear fell from her eyes.

“Stupid hormones” she mumbles, making everyone laugh.

“Please enjoy the food”, Kiera smiled and everyone started to eat. There are different types of turkeys, different salads, stuffing, different types of potatoes, different types of drinks, rolls, baked mac and cheese, cranberry sauce, and dressings. We all chat, laugh and just spend time together. I saw Kiera get up and excusing herself. She goes to the Omega table and says something to them. They quickly get up and go with her. Not long after, the Omegas come back with another table, then leave again. Not long after, I see Kiera come out with a pie in her hand before going back to the kitchen. The Omegas come back as well with more pies.

“I hope you all left room for pie” Kiera said. Everyone makes a line and starts to get pie. Once everyone has had pie, I get up and get some. There is pumpkin pie, apple pie, salted caramel slab pie, pecan pie, cranberry tart, double crust apple cheddar pie, Apple cranberry pie, strawberry cheesecake, lemon pie, lemon coconut tart, strawberry pie, and Nutella pie. I grabbed a piece of apple pie, apple cranberry pie, and my favorite strawberry pie. When I sat down, I noticed Kiera eating strawberry cheesecake and Nutella pie.

“Oh wow, this double crust apple cheddar pie is amazing” Benny said, taking another bite. He then grabbed some from his fork and brought it to my lips. I opened my mouth and took the bite. It was actually really good.

“Kiera has always made the best pies. My favorites, though, are pumpkin pie and apple pie”, Markos said.

“You made these your highness?” Lola asked.

“Yes” Kiera blushed.

“Wow, they are really good. You should open a pie shop” Duke, the bear shifter, and Lola’s mate said. Kiera smiled at him, then looked at me and Benny.

“He’s right, my love. These are really good” Benny said. I took a bite out of my pie, but when I got to the strawberry pies, I swear I was in heaven.

“Goddess little bird. I have had good strawberry pies, but this… its like I’m in heaven”, I admitted. Kiera grinned and continued eating. When the food was done, our pack members insisted on helping to clean up. I walked to the living room where Kiera was sitting down with our families.

“So Kiera, have you thought of the dress you want for your wedding?” mom asked.

“I have” Kiera grinned, taking out her phone. She swiped her phone and clicked a few things before showing my mom her phone.

“Oh, wow. That’s beautiful” mom said before she passed the phone to Nana and grandma, then to Monica, Kesha, and, lastly, Jennifer.

“Oh wow. I can’t wait to see you in that”, Monica said, and Jennifer nodded. Marko came into the room with some beers. Jennifer gave Kiera her phone and Kiera placed it on the table. She leaned back with a pillow behind her back. Emma yawned and crawled on Kiera’s lap carefully. Emma laid her head on Kiera’s chest and soon was knocked out cold. Pops Gabriel, Grandpa Tristan, grandpa Koslov, dad, Markos, Manny, Kane, Benny, and I stood aside talking about the things Benny and I had bought for the nursery. Kane said that he would gift us the baby monitor. They all agreed to help us get the nursery started without Kiera knowing because Benny and I wanted it to be a secret. We talked for a while more when I saw Kiera sleeping, still holding Emma. Monica took Emma from her. Benny then picked up Kiera and she snuggled closer to him.

“I’m going to take her upstairs”, Benny said, and I nodded. A few minutes later, Benny came back. The women bid us goodnight, leaving only the guys. We drank for a couple of more hours before we decided to call it a night. I was stuffed and tired. Benny and I changed our clothes and brushed our teeth.

“Good night my love” I said, kissing his lips.

“Good night babe” Benny said against my lips. We both laid down and as soon as my head touched the pillow I fell asleep.
