Chapter 55 - Blessed with Two Mates

(Benny)

I finish helping the pack members decorate the inside of the castle. Christmas is right around the corner and the women went out to buy gifts. I’m a little on edge because Kiera is close to her due date and I don’t like her being so far away from Xavier and me, but the women assured me that she was going to be okay, yet I can’t help but worry.

“Benny, you’re going to make a hole in the floor”, Xavier chuckles before taking my hand.

“Relax, they should be back soon”, Xavier assures me. It’s three in the afternoon and they have been gone since ten this morning. Just then, the front doors to the castle open and the women walk in with arms full of bags. Duke is carrying Kiera’s bags. I looked at her and she gave me a huge smile.

“Did you buy all that you needed?” Xavier asked.

“Yes, we did” mom says.

“We got half of them wrapped, but we still have more to wrap” Monica says.

“Oh, wow, the tree looks incredible” Kiera gasps, then quickly heads towards Duke, grabbing a bag. She began to take out presents and was about to get on her knees when I stopped her. I took the presents from her and began to place them under the tree. When she finishes with that bag, she grabs the other bag from Duke and hands me the others.

“Thank you love” she smiles at me. I stood up and gave her a kiss on her forehead. When I pull back, she groans and holds onto me.

“Are you okay little bird?” Xavier asked.

“Yes, my feet just hurt a little” Kiera admitted. Xavier picked her up and she audibly sighed. Xavier began to make his way to the stairs, but Kiera stopped him.

“I can’t go up. I have to wrap some presents and put the names on it”, Kiera said.

“You can wrap them while you rest in the bed. Right now you need to rest your feet” I said. I grab the bag that Duke handed over, then the roll of wrapping paper, tape, scissors, and a black marker. I then followed Xavier up to our room. Suddenly, guilt hits me hard. I still haven’t told Kiera about me speaking with Alison and, because of that, I haven’t had the balls to be intimate with my mate. I know it’s not fair to her for me to do this to her and I need to tell her. I’m just scared that she’s going to reject me.

(Kiera)

I sigh as my mate, Xavier, places me on the bed and takes off my shoes. Benny walks in and places the bag on the bed with the wrapping, tape, scissors, and a black marker.

“I have a meeting I have to attend. I will see you at dinner. I love you” Xavier kisses my lips before going to Benny and kissing him. Xavier leaves and I look at Benny. Ever since that night he proposed to me, he hasn’t touched me in an intimate way again. Was he tired of being my mate? Do I disgust him? My Lycan whimpers at my thoughts and this makes Benny snap his head towards me. I look out the window when I feel the bed dip and Benny takes my hand. I decide to ask. If he was tired of me, then as much as it would hurt me, I would let him go. I will let him and Xavier continue with their mating bond. I looked at Benny as tears burnt my eyes.

“Benny, why have you been so distant with me?... Don’t you want to be my mate anymore?... Do- Do I disgust you?” I asked, removing my hand from his and wrapping it around myself.

“What!? Yes! I mean no! I mean…” he sighs and closes his eyes.

“Kiera, I love you with all my heart and soul. I love our pups” he says.

“Then why haven’t you touched me intimately? You make stupid excuses when I want to be touched by you and just leave. Is it me? Do I disgust you?” I asked again.

“NO! You are perfect. It’s just…” he trails off and looks at the door before looking back at me.

“When I was in a coma. I saw my first mate, Alison. She showed me what had happened and she was happy for me that I found not one but two people that loved me for me, but then… she- she kissed my cheek. I wanted to tell you, but I was afraid you would reject me”, Benny says. That’s it? He thought I was going to reject him because his first mate kissed his cheek? I took his hand in mine.

“Benny, Alison was your first mate. I can’t imagine the pain you went through when she passed, but I assure you that just because she kissed your cheek I’m not going to reject you. Benny, I love you as much as I love Xavier. Just please, next time, talk to me. Don’t put either of us through this torturous pain because you’re afraid I would reject you. One thing this relationship needs to have is communication. You should already know this” I said.

“I do and I’m sorry”, Benny says, and kissed my lips. When he pulled back, I saw his eyes glaze over, which meant he was getting a mind link. When his eyes went back to normal, he gave me a small smile. I knew he had to go.

“Go on. I’ll see you at dinner”, I assured him. He leaned down and gave me another kiss.

“I love you Kiera”, Benny assured me.

“I love you too, Benny”, I smiled. He leaned his forehead on mine and whispered, “I promise I will make everything up to you my love.” I smiled and kissed his lips before leaving the room. I got to work on wrapping the presents and putting the names to whom they belong. Once I finished, I realized I still had time before dinner. I decided to lay on the bed and take a nap.

(Kiera)

I sigh as I finish my breakfast. I watch as my pack members eagerly eat, ready to open their presents. Yes, its Christmas morning and it’s freaking cold. As if reading my mind, Benny came towards me with a mug of his special hot chocolate.

“Thank you” I smiled with a blush, thinking of the night he promised to make it up to me and that he did… many, many times.

“You’re welcome, my queen,” he said with a wink. I hear Xavier chuckle as I blush. Once everyone finishes their breakfast and I clap my hand.

“Let’s get to the presents” I grinned. Xavier helped me up and both him and Benny walked beside me to the living room. I took a deep breath, tightening my grip on my mug as I felt a small pain in my lower stomach. I took in another breath when the pain subsided. Monica passes out the presents and I can see how Emma is jumping in her seat waiting to open her presents. Dalton chuckles and Monica giggles.

“Emma, would you like to open your present first?” I asked her and she nodded eagerly.

“Go ahead kiddo. Open them”, Xavier says, and Emma tears into her presents. Another pain ripples through my stomach but quickly goes away. One by one, everyone opens their presents and my pain continues to come and go, but I feel Ari also helping me by taking some of the pain. I stand up to place my mug by the chimney when I feel a rush of water run down my legs.

‘Did I just pee myself?’ I asked Ari.

‘No. Our water just broke’ Ari replies.

“My water broke”, I squeaked out. Both of my mates rushed towards me. Xavier picks me up but doesn’t move. No matter how many times we practiced what to do, one of my mates or maybe both would blank out.

“Go up to the room. I need to clean up before going to the pack clinic” I softly told Xavier. Xavier does as I ask. Halfway up to our room, a groan leaves my lips as another pain hits me. When we get to the room, Xavier puts me down in the bathroom and turns on the water.

“Little one, your due day is next week” Benny said with worry in his voice.

“I know my love, but you have to remember that I’m having twins, which means that there’s a possibility that I am going to go into labor early”, I told him. He nodded yet he still looked very nervous. I walked towards him and kissed his lips.

“We’ll be okay” I whispered against his lips. Once I had shower and put on a sleeping gown that came to my knees and a silk robe. A strong contraction hit me and I couldn’t stop the growl that left my lips. We finally arrived at the pack clinic.

“Your highness, take deep breaths. I’m going to check how far dilated you are”, Doctor Anna said. Benny walks in with my bag and Anna checks me.

“You’re a ten, your highness. When you feel the next contraction, I will need you to push and hold it for ten seconds”, Doctor Anna said, and I nodded. I grabbed Xavier and Benny’s hand and when the next contraction came, I pushed. I was glad that both of my pups' heads were down so I didn’t have to have a cesarean. After ten seconds, I let out the breath I was holding. I repeated this for forty five minutes and I was exhausted.

“You can do this little bird. You’re almost there”, Xavier encouraged. I let out a whimper, too tired to reply.

“Come on little one. You can do this”, Benny says, kissing the top of my head. I feel another contraction so I take a deep breath and push as hard as I can. I feel pressure between my legs before I feel the pressure subside.

“That’s it, your highness. The head is out” Doctor Anna says. I push again and the room fills with the wails of our pup. Both of my mates kissed the top of my head before going to go see our pup. Before I could say anything, another contraction hit me. I begin to push again and even though it takes me a few more tries, it doesn’t take me as long as my first born. The room filled with the cries of our second pup. I lay back exhausted. My mates bring our pups to me. I couldn’t help but gasp at how beautiful our pups looked. There was a mixture of Xavier and Benny. Our pups have dark hair like my mates, purple eyes with pecs of emerald green. They were incredibly unique. I have never seen eyes like theirs before. They both have Benny’s nose and my lips. I kiss both of our pups.

“Have you thought of any names, your highnesses, Royal Gamma Benny?” Doctor Anna asked. Benny and Xavier looked at each other, then looked at me. I nodded and smiled softly at them.

“Kenny and Lenny”, Benny replied. Doctor Anna nods with a small smile. I look at my mates holding our pups. Xavier’s parents, Benny’s parents, and my parents joined us and they gushed over their grandkids. Not long after, everyone else joined us. I remembered how my life was before I met Xavier. Never in my life did I think I would have this life. Have not one but two mates that love me. I know we have gone through a lot, but I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I love my pack, my family. I love my mate. Thank you Moon Goddess.
