Chapter 14 (Perfect)
I couldn't believe what a pig he is! He is such a disgrace to mankind. How do people like him even exist? Kill and feel no remorse at all? It's really such a mystery to me.
It's just been a month and a half before I went undercover but I have changed to a completely different person. I had some morals but now I have a lot of them. I need to change all the wrongs that I have done to so many people. I was unjust but the sad part is I didn't even realize I was.
I have to do right by my people. I am coming back with a gold crown on my head instead of a black one. I will show my worth and make sure to do the right things. I have too.
Although I'm worried about tomorrow. I hate to admit it but I'm also secretly excited. It's my very first date and I have never even gone out with a person let alone with a guy whom I have romantic feelings for. I secretly can't wait.
I go to sleep dreaming about how lovely tomorrow is going to be.
I got the day off and was getting ready. I wore a bright yellow dress with a golden sparkly necklace. I bought this dress when I went street shopping at that time.
I looked at myself in the mirror and I felt I looked good even without the supper expensive dresses and jewelry. I felt comfortable in my own skin in this dress.
I went outside the palace and was walking to the destination Reece told me. I walked there and it was a beautiful garden with roses and sunflowers everywhere it looked absolutely breathtaking.
In the middle of the garden there was a red carpet and on top of that was a brown basket, half-open. Beside the basket, there were champagne bottles and wine bottles. It was beautiful.
Reece suddenly came from behind a tree and he looked stunning. He had black pants with a light brown top and a dark brown coat. His blond hair was messy and it looked exactly like I wanted it to. He saw me and smiled and he was staring at me as if to say 'you are beautiful' with his eyes.
"You are breathtaking," He says while coming closer.
"And so are you," I say. He pulls me close and kisses me. How many times did we kiss? I lost count.
He holds my hand and guides me to the picnic. He sits beside me and opens the brown basket which had strawberries and simple sandwiches.
"I'm not a great cook... so I just did some simple sandwiches... I know it is not-" I cut him off
"It's perfect." I look at him in the eye and say. He simply smiles back. We sit and talk about ourselves and I felt very sad. I want him to know the truth about me but I can't let him know just yet.
"What's wrong? You seem dull." He asks with concern in his eyes,
"Nothing it is just..." I try to muster up the courage to tell him a little bit of the truth.
"Is the food bad? I'm so sorry I'll-" He gets flustered and I cut him off once again.
"No, no. It's just that... Never mind."
"Oh, it's ok you can tell me." He looks at me and smiles.
"You will hate me." Tears pool in my eyes and threaten to fall.
"I could never hate you." He cups my cheek and brushes off one tear that had almost fallen.
"It's just that... I have a lot of secrets. I have done a lot of bad things. I'm not the person you think I am." He stares at me for a moment and I get nervous so I start fidgeting the corner of my dress.
"You don't have to tell me. The person you are now is not the person you were before. We all make bad choices. It's just that you have realized them and changed. The past doesn't define your future and the person you are right now." What did I do to deserve such a lovely person like you?
"And besides, You are the most selfless and kind person I have ever met." He comes closer and holds my hands. We just stood like that for what seems like forever.
We talked about all random things. Our favorite colors, mine is black and his is blue. Our favorite flowers, mine are sunflowers and his are roses. Our favorite times together. It was so much fun.
A sudden thought hit me. What if all this is taken away from me? What if he looks at me differently then he looks at me now? There were so many what if's rolling in my mind but I decided to think about the 'now' then the 'later'. I want to put my past behind me and just think about how lovely today is going to be.
The whole day went smoothly and amazingly. After the picnic in the park, we went to all types of street stalls and we ate all types of food. We fed each other and we laughed and did all sorts of things together. We were exploring the streets and surprisingly, no one recognized prince Reece. We just went about and explored and just held hands.
It was perfect. It was all I could ask for.
