✨Chapter 31✨

Julia managed to go back inside the house but all she could do was stare blankly into space.

"Mommy, why did Aunt Andrea leave? When is she coming back?" Hayden asked

Julia bursted into tears instead and Hayden felt bad that he probably made her cry.

"I'm sorry mommy. I'm really sorry, stop crying" Hayden apologized

Three of them hugged Julia and tried to make her stop crying but it was impossible. The door suddenly creaked open and Julia sprang up.

"Andrea" she called out but was disappointed to see Dylan instead

"What's going on? Why are you crying?" Dylan asked worriedly

"It's none of your business. Please leave" Julia said

"Uncle Dylan! Mommy is crying because Aunt Andrea left" Jayden said

"Andrea left? Did something happen between the two of you?" Dylan asked Julia

"I told you to leave. Kayden, Jayden, Hayden, go upstairs" Julia said and wiped her tears

"Can't you at least treat me like I mean even the slightest thing to you? Tell me what happened so that we can solve it together" Dylan said

"How will you solve what I don't even know? I just met Andrea packing her things when I got back from work and no matter how many times I asked her, she refused to tell me why she was leaving. I tried calling her and it seems like she blocked my number already" Julia said

"She blocked you? Why will Andrea do that? She was very happy when she found out I was the father of your triplets but she suddenly blocked you and left? Something huge must have happened. Can you try to think hard and see if you've done anything to offend her?" Dylan asked

"I didn't do anything. I thought long and hard about it and I'm sure I didn't do anything. Even if I did anything, it must be something minor since I can't even remember it and I don't think that's enough reason for her to leave the house" Julia said

"Why do you think she left then? Does anything come to mind?" Dylan asked

"No, nothing at all. My mind is blank right now" Julia said

"Alright! You should rest for today and don't think about anything. I will try to talk to her so just trust me and wait" Dylan said

"Thank you Dylan, I'm really grateful" Julia said just before he left

"Don't mention it. Make sure you rest up" Dylan added and left

Early in the morning the next day, Dylan left the house in search of Andrea. He tried calling her the previous night but he couldn't get through to her. He concluded that she must have blocked him too.

He showed her picture to lots of taxi drivers and in the afternoon, he finally managed to see someone that saw her.

"Can you please take me to where she's staying right now?" Dylan asked

"Sure, get in" the taxi driver said

The driver drove him to the place and it turned out to be a hotel.

"How am I supposed to get her room number in this five star hotel? They won't tell me easily" Dylan mumbled to himself and went in

"Oh my goodness! Is that not Dylan Gerald?" one of the ladies exclaimed

"He looks so handsome in person" one of them said dreamily

"Good afternoon. Please I'm looking for Andrea Arthur. I heard she stays at this hotel. What's her room number?" Dylan asked

"We will need to call her first and ask her if we can disclose any information to you. As you know, our guests information are strictly confidential" the lady at the desk said

"Is there no way you can just tell me her room number without contacting her? It's really urgent" Dylan said

"Well, there is a way actually. If you just write your contact on this paper, I will give you her room number without wasting any more time" the lady said

Dylan wrote his contact on the paper and the lady confirmed that it belonged to him before giving him the room number.

Dylan knocked on the door and Andrea being oblivious to what was going on, opened the door almost immediately, thinking it was room service.

Andrea tried closing the door but Dylan prevented her and went in after which he closed the door behind him.

"What do you want?" Andrea sighed

"You know why I'm here so stop putting on an act" Dylan said

"I don't know why you are here. If you have nothing to say, leave before I call security" Andrea said

"Just few days ago, you were really happy to hear that I was the father of Julia's triplets? How can you change in such a short period of time?" Dylan asked

"Did Julia tell you to come here to ask me that?" Andrea scoffed

"No she didn't. She cried herself to sleep last night and I will really appreciate it if you can tell us what exactly is wrong. You know how important you are to Julia right now" Dylan said

"How important am I to her that she betrayed my trust just for money? If she told me about it, I wouldn't have tried to take anything from her so why did she lie to me?" Andrea flared up

"I don't understand. Julia betrayed your trust for money? I don't know what happened but if there's one thing I know about Julia, she will never ever betray anyone's trust for money. If you say something else besides money, I might consider believing you but Julia has no reason to betray your trust" Dylan defended

"If you knew you weren't going to believe me, why did you come here? Just leave" Andrea said

"I'm sorry. I promise to not say anything for now so just explain everything that happened" Dylan said

"The summary of everything that happened is that Julia betrayed my trust for money. She discovered my true identity but kept it from me even after I told her how badly I want to remember my family. She knows that I don't remember things from my childhood but she kept my identity from me because she felt I might be a threat to her" Andrea said

"Why will you be a threat to her? What is your true identity and how will it threaten Julia in any way?" Dylan asked

"I can't explain further. If you say that to her, I'm sure she will understand what I mean. Leave now please, I want to rest" Andrea said

Dylan left when he realized she wasn't willing to talk to him anymore even though he didn't understand everything she said.

"I will just ask Julia about it" he said to himself and went home

He was expecting Julia to have gone to work but he was surprised to see that the two cars were parked in the compound.

"Did Julia not go to work?" Dylan asked Peterson

"Yes. She said she wanted to rest so I only dropped the kids at school" Peterson said

"Alright. Let me check up on her" Dylan said and went in

When he got in, he didn't see Julia downstairs so he went to her room upstairs.

"Julia" he called and turned the doorknob

"My goodness! What happened to you?" he exclaimed and ran towards her

He placed his hand on her forehead and saw that she was running a fever. He quickly put water inside a bowl and took a towel to cool off her body.

"Why didn't you call anyone for help? What if something worse happened?" Dylan asked when he was done

"I know you will be here just in time. Were you able to find Andrea?" Julia asked

"Yes but I can't tell you what she said. You need to get well first" Dylan said

"Who told you I'm not okay? I'm fine so just tell me what happened" Julia said and sat up

"I don't understand what she said but I guess you will understand" Dylan said and told her exactly what Andrea told him

"She said I discovered her identity? That's absurd! Why will I find out about her past and not tell her about it? And she feels I betrayed her trust for money? Am I stupid or what? I have everything I need so why will I betray her trust for money?" Julia scoffed

"We can talk about this later, just rest for now" Dylan said

Julia was about answering when a message came into her phone.

"I think you have a message" Dylan said
