Chapter 36 She Hit The Billionaire’ In The Face
Maid's voice came from the study below, waking the two people trapped in...
Ethan's hand, already tucked under her skirt, paused slightly, and a storm blazed in his eyes. He suddenly removed the last piece of her skirt and pulled her close...
However, before he could take another step, a small hand pinched his rough palm.
"Ethan," Lilly gently stopped him, her passionate voice firmly striking the ears of the man holding her, sounding especially sexy and charming at that moment.
Ethan's breathing became heavy, and his heart pounded wildly. Lilly's soft, tender skin was pressed against his palm, indicating one thing: he had nearly overpowered her.
Taking advantage of his confusion, she calmed down, pulled back her clothes, and pushed him away. Suddenly, his eyes turned cold. He couldn't wait to hear this man approaching and leave!
He suddenly reached out, grabbed her, pulled her toward him, opened his lips, and fiercely bit the bruise on her neck.
"Ah!" She gasped in pain. She's really going crazy! He's bitten her so many times this day. Even if he hates her, he can't just keep biting her!
Do you really think she's so easily intimidated?
Lilly, overcoming the pain in her neck, backhanded him on the shoulder. Unexpectedly, she missed and hit that handsome face!
The sharp, crunching slap shocked both people in the study.
Did she really hit him in the face?
This time, she wasn't angry; she felt devastated.
Why did she hit him in the face?
For the past four years, she had treated him like a treasure. She worried when he got sick. She thwarted every attempt to scold him or find fault with him.
The man who never allowed others to hurt her had now hit himself. She was heartbroken and looked at him with irritation. She reached out with a trembling hand, wanting to ask if it hurt, but he pinched her just as she half-extended her hand.
"Why? Do you want to hit me again?" he grabbed her wrist and narrowed his eyes coldly.
"No, no, I..." she panicked, wanting to explain, but she couldn't come up with a compelling reason. She couldn't say, "I felt sorry for hitting you; I wanted to see what you looked like after being beaten."
If she really did say she felt sorry for him, what was going on? It was as if she were clearly trying to steal Ziyan's dad. She already felt guilty because he had kissed her so hard that she couldn't resist reciprocating.
She didn't want to be a mistress, she didn't want to interfere with someone else's feelings, and she hadn't even considered it!
Ethan, suppressing the pain on his face, looked at her with an icy gaze and said sarcastically, "Who are you? Do you want to continue pretending to be a chaste heroine?"
She was momentarily taken aback, thinking she'd misunderstood him. What did he mean? Was he saying she was pretending to be a chaste heroine?
Is he humiliating her? She still... regretted accidentally hitting him!
"You... take that back." She took a deep breath to calm herself and spoke word by word, "Take that back!"
"Was I wrong? Miss Lilly..." he pursed the corners of his lips, raised the girl's white, delicate hand before his eyes, nipped at it, biting lightly, and chuckled, "Didn't you look like you enjoyed it just now?" Lilly felt as if a bucket of ice water had been poured over her; her entire body froze and went cold, and even her heart went cold.
She realized this man was trying to humiliate her because he hated her.
"Enjoying it?" Lilly laughed angrily, and her strong sense of self-worth forced her to look up and stare directly at the man in front of her. Her soft, tender lips parted and closed, and she reluctantly said, "Mr. Romano's skills are probably far from being considered 'enjoyable.” As she said this, she patted the bruises and teeth marks on her neck left by Ethan with her other hand.
His expression darkened, and his tone became cold and frightening. "Lilly, why are you talking to me like that?"
"Otherwise, how do you expect me to speak, Mr. Romano?" Lilly smiled like a flower, leaned toward his ear, exhaled softly, felt the man's breathing quicken, and then laughed softly, "You want me to say that?"
The red lily instantly transformed into a poisonous poppy, becoming even more beautiful and charming. When she was angry, she became like a mad little wildcat, showing off her sharp claws, bold and unbridled, until she scratched him.
Who had angered her?
"Lilly, your boyfriend is still waiting downstairs," he reached out to pinch her chin, brought it to his lips, and croaked, "You dare tease me like that? You think I won't do it if he's here? Huh?"
Which boyfriend?
Now she didn't care that he misunderstood; she just wanted to break free from his control.
Lilly lowered her eyes and smiled softly. She gently stroked the back of his hand, feeling the veins gradually stand out. She heard his heavy breathing, glanced at his leather shoes, picked up her own light canvas slippers, and abruptly lowered them.
He took a deep breath, stepped back abruptly, and let go of her hand. His handsome face turned cold and was covered in a heavy frost.
Lilly took the opportunity to slip out of his embrace, walked toward the door, and said with a smile, "Mr. Romano, you really are self-indulgent."
"Lilly!" his eyes flashed with an ominous, cold light, and his voice grew low.
"I don't know what has you so upset." Lilly suddenly straightened up, no longer smiling or mocking. This tone made him, who was about to reach out and catch her, stop.
"But please don't take your anger out on me." She paused for a moment and continued in a tone that seemed to express something she couldn't acknowledge: "Your behavior today made me feel as if the Ethan White I knew before had died."
Hearing this, his body suddenly trembled, and a storm blazed in his eyes.
Lilly continued, "I've decided that from today on, I will no longer consider you a friend. Our relationship is limited by this agreement. I will fulfill the remaining four months of work as agreed. Please be kind and allow us... to part peacefully." After this, she left the study.
