Chapter 99
Evie's car pulled up in front of Babel group. When she got out, she took off her glass, a mischievous smile playing on her lips, she nods her head in satisfaction at what she was seeing.
"So this is it. BABEL GROUP." She chuckled. "Well Ashton, let's see if you and I and truly alike." She put on her glass and cat walked into the company.
When Evie got into the company, she spoke to the receptionist first and requested to see Ashton, but then she was told that he's in a meeting and since she doesn't have an appointment with him she's going to have to wait until he's done. One thing Evie hates to do is wait, she's never had to wait for anything in her life, what she wants she gets at that moment, but since this was something important, she agreed to wait and then she was offered a seat by the receptionist.
Ashton's meeting took longer that Evie expected and when he was done, the receptionist informed him about Evie, Ashton was surprised since he had no idea who the lady was, but he still asked to see her anyways.
"You may go see him now Ma'am." The receptionist said.
"Oh, thank God!" Evie scoffed as she stood up.
The receptionist pointed at an elevator down the hallway. "That elevator will take you straight down to his floor." She informed.
Evie didn't even bothered saying thanks, she was pissed that she had to wait a long time before she could see Ashton, so she simply glared at the receptionist before leaving.
Ashton was going through some files when he heard a knock on his door. "Come in." He said, not taking his eyes off the file.
The moment Evie walked in, the first thing that announced her presence was her fragrance. Ashton slowly raised his head to look at her, she had a black mini dress that clung to her body so tightly that it made her curves visible, she had on matching black heels and was holding a small purse, she also had a long, dark, shiny curly hair, one look at her and you could easily tell that she was no ordinary person, she was also so beautiful and had the body of a model.
"Are you done staring Mr Ashton." Evie smiled, then she took a sit, not waiting for him to offer it to her.
Her voice interrupted Ashton's thought and he instantly shook his head to clear off any weird thoughts he was having about her.
"Pardon me, I didn't mean to stare." He apologized.
"It's okay, I get that a lot, so I'm pretty much used to it by now." Evie winked at him.
Ashton chuckled softly, he could already tell she has a lot of pride. "Anyways, I'm afraid I do not know you, so if I may ask, who are you and what brings you to me?"
"That's a good question." Evie replied, she dropped her purse on his table, leaned into her chair, crossed her pretty long legs and fixed her eyes on Ashton. "You may not know me, but I already know what I need to know about you." She said, causing Ashton to frown in confusion.
"Excuse me?"
"You must know Adams and Alicia." She said and a look of anger flashed through Ashton's eyes, one that caused her to smile in satisfaction. "I hate beating around the bush so I'm going to go straight to the point."
"I'm well informed about your feelings for Alicia and I know how you've tried making her fall in love with you but failed, so...I've come to you with an offer, one I'm quite sure you wouldn't want to refuse." She smirked. "What if I tell you that I can help you make Alicia yours, I can help you break her relationship with Adams, the relationship she thinks is unbreakable." She rolled her eyes.
"What? What are you talking about? How do you even know all this? and again I don't even know you so how can I trust you."
"My name is Evie Blair and you will get to know more about me soon enough Ashton, but for now all you need to know is that I'm the only person who can help you get what you want, it's quite sad that you haven't been doing anything to achieve the things you want, but all that is going to change now that I'm here."
"Really now? How do you even plan to help me? And what do you stand to gain in all of this?" Ashton questioned, still accessing her in a suspicious manner. An unknown lady simply walks into his office offering him an opportunity to get what he wants, it all seems so unbelievable to him.
"What I stand to gain?" Evie repeated, then she sat up. "What I want is the man I love, the man Alicia has, I want to take back my first love and I'm going to need your help in doing so, seeing that you're also in love with Alicia, but then Adams has her and she's proving so stubborn too. Is that enough?"
"I...I still can't believe this is happening, I barely know you, you just came into my office with this offer, you even know more than you should know about me and the things I want."
"Well, why don't I clear up your confusion by giving you a little intro about me." She smiled, then she went on to tell him a few things about herself, her relationship with Adams, what she does for a living and the reason she returned to Seattle.
When she was done, Ashton leaned into his seat, he looked at her for sometime before smiling, obviously so satisfied with what he's just heard about her.
"I never knew Adams had this side to his story." He smirked. "How confident are you in achieving all this?" He asked.
"Oh you have no idea, I'm willing to do anything to get what I want, and by anything I mean anything at all." Evie stated with full seriousness. "With my help, this won't be so hard at all since I have a better chance, I stay in the same mansion with them so it's going to be so easy creating so many obstacles for them. I've got the perfect plan to break those two, a plan I'm only going to tell you if only you agree to join hands with me.''
"I know you want this just as much as I do, so tell me....are you in or out?" She stretched her hand towards him, looking him in the eyes.
"I want nothing more than to make Alicia mine and cause Adams so much pain, I want nothing more than to see him go mad when he looses the woman he claims to love so much, I want nothing more than to see him loose everything so if you are assuring me of achieving those things then yes..."
"I'm in." He said and then he took her hand.
"I like you, you didn't disappoint me." Evie replied with a mischievous smirk.
