Rosa was carried into the healers’ lodge the moment Keegan and his warriors reached the surface. The healers rushed around her, placing warm clothes on her wound and checking her breathing. She was pale and weak, but she was alive. The triplets cried loudly as the healers tried to move them aside.
“Please, they are scared,” Keegan said, his voice rough as he knelt beside his children. “Let them stay close.”
The healers nodded and made space. Rosa’s children crawled to her, holding her hands and resting their heads on her arms.
Rosa opened her eyes slowly. “Keegan… are they safe?”
“They are safe,” Keegan answered, touching her cheek. “I found them. I found all of you.”
Rosa tried to smile, but pain spread across her side. The healers pressed gently on the wound, making her gasp.
“Easy,” one healer said. “The stab was deep, but we stopped the bleeding. She needs rest.”
Keegan nodded but refused to leave her side. He stayed with her through the night, only stepping out when warriors rushed in to give him updates about the state of the kingdom.
Outside, chaos still moved through the land, but it was not as strong as before. Kevin’s fall had spread quickly, and most of his supporters had thrown down their weapons. Keegan sent warriors to calm scattered fights and bring injured families to safety.
Inside the lodge, Rosa slept quietly. The triplets curled beside her like small shadows, refusing to leave even when food was brought in.
“Come eat,” Keegan said gently.
“No,” the youngest whispered. “We want Mama.”
Keegan lifted all three into his arms, hugged them tightly, and set them back down near Rosa. “Then stay, but you must eat soon.”
Over the next few days, Rosa slowly became stronger. She was still in pain, but her eyes grew clearer and her voice steadied each time she spoke.
“How is the kingdom?” she asked Keegan one morning as she tried to sit up.
Keegan supported her carefully. “Recovering. Many clans surrendered after Kevin died. Some villages were damaged, but everyone is helping rebuild.”
Rosa looked worried. “So many people suffered.”
“Yes,” Keegan said. “And I will fix it. All of it.”
He took her hand. It was still weak, but she squeezed his fingers gently.
“Thank you for finding me,” she said.
“I would have torn the whole world apart to reach you,” Keegan answered.
Rosa’s eyes watered, but she wiped them quickly. “I’m just glad the children are safe.”
The triplets sat nearby playing quietly with wooden blocks the healers had given them. They seemed calmer now that Rosa was awake most of the day, but they still clung to her every time someone entered the room.
By the end of the week, Rosa was strong enough to stand with support. The healers walked her outside so she could feel the fresh air. Keegan followed closely, ready to catch her if she lost her balance.
“Easy,” he said. “I’ve got you.”
“I know,” Rosa said, leaning slightly on him. “But I must walk. I must see what is happening.”
The kingdom around them was full of busy movement. Warriors rebuilt broken fences and patched damaged roofs. Women carried water and food to families staying in temporary shelters. Children ran around, helping where they could.
Elders from different clans gathered under a large tent, discussing leadership and new rules for peace.
One elder bowed when he saw Keegan. “Alpha Keegan, many families want to thank you. Kevin brought fear to every corner of this land. You ended it.”
Keegan shook his head. “I ended nothing alone. Many fought with me. Many paid a price.”
Rosa listened quietly, holding her waist where the wound still hurt.
Another elder stepped forward. “We will support you as the rightful Alpha. Our clans want peace. We want unity again.”
Keegan nodded. “Then we rebuild together.”
Every day, the kingdom became calmer. Food and supplies were sent to the villages that had suffered the most. The Warriors returned to their families. The healers’ lodge emptied as injuries healed. The young ones who had fled during Kevin’s attacks returned home slowly, guided by their parents.
Rosa began helping too. She sat with the elders during planning meetings. She helped women organize safe zones for future emergencies. She visited families who had lost homes and guided them through the rebuilding process.
One morning, a young mother approached her with tears in her eyes. “Thank you, Lady Rosa. You helped save us.”
Rosa shook her head. “I only did what I could. We all survived because we supported each other.”
Keegan watched her from a distance and felt proud of her strength. Even wounded, even tired, she still cared for everyone around her.
As Rosa regained her full strength, life with the triplets also grew happier. The children laughed more, slept better, and began playing outside again.
Keegan spent many evenings with them, chasing them around the training field or lifting them into the air while they screamed with joy.
One night, the oldest climbed onto Keegan’s lap and asked, “Are we safe now, Papa?”
Keegan smiled. “Yes. No one will hurt you again.”
“Because you beat the bad man?” the child asked.
“Yes,” Keegan answered softly. “Because we are together.”
The pack grew stronger under Keegan’s leadership. He created new rules to make sure no leader would ever gain power like Kevin again. He ordered checks for all future alphas, more council involvement, and better protection for families.
Rosa supported the plans. “The kingdom will heal faster if everyone feels safe,” she said.
Keegan agreed. “And we will make sure of it.”
Soon, the clans prepared for a special ceremony to mark a new era. Warriors decorated the pack grounds, children practiced dances, and cooks prepared many dishes. Everyone looked forward to celebrating peace after so much pain.
On the morning of the ceremony, Rosa wore a soft dress the healers had made for her. She moved slowly but proudly. The triplets held her hands as Keegan walked beside them toward the center of the pack grounds.
The crowd cheered when they arrived. Elders stepped forward and raised their voices.
“Today we recognize Keegan as the rightful ruler of all clans,” one elder announced. “He stood against Kevin when others were scared. He protected our land. Today we stand with him.”
Another elder added, “We also honor Rosa, who showed courage even in danger, and who now helps guide the kingdom toward a peaceful future.”
Many people bowed as Rosa and Keegan stood before them. The triplets stood proudly, holding onto their parents’ legs.
Keegan raised his hand. “We will lead this pack with fairness. We will protect every family. Today marks the start of a new path for all of us.”
The crowd cheered again. Feast tables opened, musicians played drums, and children danced. People celebrated for hours, laughing and hugging one another.
As evening fell, Rosa and Keegan walked to the top of the pack house. The air was calm and quiet. Their children played behind them, rolling on the soft grass.
Keegan stood beside Rosa and looked over the land. Houses were being rebuilt. Fires glowed gently. Families laughed together.
Rosa breathed in deeply. “We made it,” she said.
“Yes,” Keegan answered. “You, me, and them.”
He reached for her hand. She took it without hesitation.
“We will raise them here,” Rosa said. “Safe and happy.”
“We will,” Keegan promised.
The children ran to them, laughing loudly. Rosa bent down and hugged all three. Keegan placed a hand on her back and smiled at his family.
Peace covered the kingdom at last. The battles were over. Kevin was gone. The fear that had haunted every home had finally lifted.
From that day on, Rosa, Keegan, and their triplets lived as a united family, guiding the pack with strength and kindness. The land healed. The people healed. And a new era began—one built on loyalty, family, and lasting peace.
