Chapter 83 How Can I Escaped
Chapter 83 How Can I Escaped
Sarah
After dinner, we hit the road again, getting into the car, and at the restaurant, we ate in complete silence. I kept looking at my plate and not looking at him. He's had enough... Even though it's only been half a day, he's already irritating me.
Why did I become so hot-tempered towards him? What's with that reaction? It's probably all about my hormones and the fact that he practically kidnapped me. Now my life belongs to him, and he's acting like an arrogant mastermind.
So, a little bit of everything accumulated here and formed the overall picture. Besides, I haven't forgotten how he used me just for fun, how he ingratiated himself with me by pretending to be a good guy who'd rushed to the aid of a miserable, while actually using me for sex.
Then he completely disappeared for a while and stopped responding to my messages the day before that important evening. So I decided he was just another rich scoundrel, a womanizer!
I didn't notice how the car slowed down near a large, luxury new building, how it parked near one of the entrances, and how the driver turned off the engine.
"We're here. Now you'll be living here."
Where?
With whom?
I don't remember anything yet.
At least it wasn't in prison...
After all, he promised to send the criminal where she belonged! But we made a deal with the right of pardon and absolution.
The question about Kate really bothered me, but I never brought myself to ask it. I didn't want to be upset again. I didn't want to see her! The most terrible aftertaste remained after our last conversation.
I was already bracing myself for the worst when him, squeezing my elbow, led me to the elevator, because I imagined how I would see my sister again! And my mood would vanish completely.
The new building was unfamiliar to me, but it reminded me of the ones Shawn and Kate had lived in. This one, however, was a bit more modest. If he really locks me in here with her, I'll strangle him tonight!
The elevator takes us to the fifth floor. He leads me to one of the doors, which he opens with a special code. The lock clicks, and we enter a spacious, modern apartment.
The lights are already on, but it's quiet all around. Beautiful! Not regal luxury, but clearly expensive. I glance around the rooms, impressed by the decor, and then my eyes catch the sight of a lean figure in a dark suit.
It's a man. An unfamiliar, broad forehead! A frowning expression. "Good evening!"
"Good morning, Boris! Here, take the subject. This is Sarah, you know what to do." Shawn said to him.
"Yes sir!" "The big guy reports like a soldier, all but saluting.
"Shawn..." I cast a puzzled glance at my captor.
"It's Boris! He's your shadow from now on. He'll guard you and report to me on your every move. Boris will live with you." He said indifferently.
Wow...
Well, the news isn't exactly good. The only thing I need is a personal guard. A strange man in a large, unfamiliar apartment...
I'm stressed out again. I quickly glanced around the apartment, exhaling.
Thank God, I don't see Kate here, but some lout has shown up. One of those guys who follow Shawn around, covering his rich ass. They all look almost alike. His guards... They're not human, they're like Terminators. They're probably assembled in the same factory.
"Don't worry, little witch, you can trust him. Or do you want to move into MY house?"
No, no!
That's even better!
It means Shawn and I will see each other less often, so I'll serve my sentence faster, and maybe even escape if I can fool the tall oaf. I think he'll be easier to fool than Shawn. Shawn is now watching for a catch in my every move.
He's probably finished the renovations by now, living in his country house in an elite community with Kate! He gave his wife their dream mansion, just like he wanted.
That made me feel sad...
"No! Here, then here! I agree," I walk into the living room and throw my purse on the sofa. I plop down on it, lifting my legs higher. I'm very tired... "When can I talk to Aunt Sveta? She's worried, you know."
"Tomorrow they'll give you a phone; you can call her from it. A little later, if you please Daddy with exemplary behavior, I'll arrange for Auntie to be brought to you for a couple of days." He said.
My mood improved slightly. Okay, he's not completely rotten. There's something human about him...
He probably cooled down a bit and calmed down when he saw me safe and sound, carrying his descendant. The monster's anger softened.
After all, he did lose a little, supposedly because of me; it's more his pride that's hurt. The fact that you supposedly had a heart for this man, gave him everything, pulled him out of the mud, while you were thrust into the mud yourself. The one you helped.
"Shawn, how did Kate react to my... my appearance and pregnancy?" I still have to know... The question blurted out on its own.
The man didn't turn around. He tensed up. "Kate doesn't like you, just like some other people. I don't think I need to explain. But she accepted it because, like twins, you share the same DNA, which means this is her child too."
Nonsense!
She’s only related to him physically! But I'm so mad I don't want to give her the baby! It would be a hundred times easier to give it to another stranger than to her.
"Good night, I have to go. Tomorrow morning I'll come here with the notary to sign the contract with you." After saying goodbye, he left the apartment.
The door slammed behind him and the lock clicked. The big guy closed the door with his broad back, crossed his arms over his groin, and assumed a guarded stance.
Simply wonderful!
I feel a little ill.
Yes, an unpleasant event awaits—signing a contract with the devil.
But what can I do…
I have to come up with a plan to escape his tyranny, to escape, and to retain the right to be a mother to my baby. I start with Boris. I examine him closely again; he looks like a granite rock. Yeah… this will be a difficult task!
The main thing is not to lose heart. I hope I can do it.
