betrayer
****Adaa came inside the cabin as Kush stood up and closed the door for her; he picked the intercom, and in a second the voice of his secretary came.
“You can leave,” He ordered before keeping the intercom back in its place.
“I found something,” She said as he nodded, observing the movement of her hands; she was folding and unfolding them again and again, a clear sign she was nervous about something.
“You will trust me right?” She asked looking at him as he froze for a moment, trust, it was a big word.
His steps took him to the couch as he was holding her hand all along, she too walked to the couch. He held her both hands and made her sit beside me.
“Tell me,” he said as her heart hammered a little. He did not say, he trusts her.
“Umm.. your marketing manager, sneha, she is suspect number one,” She said as he frowned.
“Sneha?” He said as if he could not believe her.
“Yes Sneha,” She replied as he took a deep breath.
“how can she be your first suspect, Era, she was so enthusiastic about the new investor thing, she even presented an idea that would have been perfect if it was for a real investor,” he stated as she held his hand.
“Ksuh, she is the one transferring information to someone,” She said but he shook head.
“She is Veerndra's uncle’s daughter, Era, she can’t do this, she is special to the royals,” Kush reasoned.
“Before you jump into your denial state, have a look at this,” She said as she slowed him through the files on her tablet.
Era and emotions don’t go hand in hand, she can’t express her emotions even if she wants to, She would let you figure her bad if you want but she explains never go explain herself to anyone.
Kush closed his eyes as he read the chats between her and an unknown person. “Any idea who this person is?” He asked.
“Secured number with very high-quality hack protection, I tried but nothing worked,” Nayera replied as Kush nodded.
He runs his hand through his hair in frustration. “I’ll go ask why she did what she did,” Kush said, but Nayera put her hand on his chest before he could walk away.
“You think she will tell you everything? Just like that?” She said as Kush pushed her hand from his chest.
“Betrayal comes from the one we never expected, Kush Sabarwal. You are becoming acquainted with this now,” She stated.
“I’ll fire her this instant,” he said and pulled his phone out of his pocket.
“Would not be enough,” Nayera pointed out as Kush threw his phone in frustration. She did not flinch. People throwing things was just another Tuesday for her.
“What’s the plan?” He asked.
.
A couple in masks on the dance floor were kissing as Sneha entered the club; she walked to the bar, ordering tequila.
A hand swept around her bare waist as she stopped breathing at the movement of the rough fingers. He bit her earlobe as she bite back a hiss that was threatening to escape her lips.
“Do you have it?” he whispered against her ear as she turned her head to look at him.
“No hi, no hello, just getting to work, I see you are turning professional at this,” She said, gulping down the Tequila as the guy rolled his eyes.
“We are going to the room anyway after this exchange,” he said as he pointed at his phone and hers that was in her hands.
“Now, I may do the honors,” he said, holding the phone, but she held it in a grip before he could pull it away.
“Sneha, give me the damn phone,” he said as she glared at him.
“My money?” She asked as a hand from the other side kept a bundle of money on the table, making her and the guy gasp.
“I never thought you'd be the one to betray Sneha,” Kush said as he punched the guy who was there to collect the information from Sneha.
“Where are you going, miss manager,” Era said before she held her hand in a grip. A few men came as Era stepped away.
“Take them to the palace, I will deal with these two there,” Kush ordered as the guys took them away.
Kush did not bother to calm down when he pulled up the vodka bottle kept on the counter and attached his mouth to it.
He gulped and gulped its contents, coughing it out, “The last thing I want to handle is a dead guy who choked on Vodka, so please,” Nayera said as she pulled the bottle from his hands.
“I—I never thought this was going to be true, I wished you’d been wrong, I’d yell at you to never doubt my close ones again. But fuck! Fuck, every doubt was true, the times I ignored her actions, her sneaking around, everything I let happen in front of my eyes, is fucking true,” he said as she rubbed his back.
“You are stressed,” she said as he nodded.
“Kush!” They turned around to see a bunch of guys in casual, standing behind them.
“Are they here to beat the shit out of us?” She whispered in her ear, but it was loud enough for others to see as they chuckled.
“No, beautiful lady,” one of them replied as Nayera looked at him. He looked fine with brown eyes and a light skin tone although he seemed shorter than Kush.
“Easy there, Mohit,” Kush said as he sneaked his arm around Nayera’s waist and pulled her closer.
“She is mine,” he said as Nayera’s eyes snapped back at his. What the fuck was he saying to his friends?
“Woo! Brother, chill I was just kidding!” Mohit said as he raised his hands in surrender.
“Adaa, the sweetheart, meet my friends' group from college; MOhit, Sidhart, Abhimanyu, and Krish,” He introduced them as Nayera shook hands with them like the professional she was.
“And this is Nayera, my girlfriend.”
