Chapter One Hundred and Sixty One

Thompson being one of the sponsors has a different privilege from the whole students in the school.

At first, coming to the school he learns from as a sponsor felt awkward but gradually he adjusted to the situation he found himself in.

He was sitting at the VIP when he heard the first note of the next competitor. It is finally the day the pianists who would compete against Matt at the finals stand against each other.

And Thompson had sat down listening to terrible and good plays since he got there until this moment.

Gifted Hands versus Roxane the host had called them on stage.

Gifted Hands was wearing a mask but her gait somehow looked like someone he knew. After all, he had lived with her for some time.

Not wanting to jump to conclusions he decided to listen to her play.

And when her notes started entering, Thompson knew right from his heart that she was back and she was competing.

But why would the hospital release her without informing any of them...

Matt who was organising the next batch to be sent up, heard the tune from where he stood.

Confused, he walked down to the viewer and there he saw her in a mask, her stance the same even after spending time at the psychiatric home.

Trisha Black is back and she is posing to be someone else. Why?

Not waiting to dwell on it, he rushed to meet Fiona at her temporary office where she said she would be with Max and her sister for a brief meeting.

I think we need to wait patiently for what would happen before we can counter attack, Cassie said to them.

Yes, I agree with what Fiona said.

But, we also need to consider the safety of the children first. Ama is a ruthless seller and she can entice them with her facial expression.

I don’t want them touching my children, she murmured and Maxwell felt like he was transported to the past.

What happened? Fiona asked, seeing the urgency in his tone.

Trisha has been released from the psychiatric hospital, he said in a rush.

What! Fiona and Cassie echoed together while Maxwell just stood from his seat.

Let me make a call, he said.

Cassie frowned at the thought as Matt told them what he saw. I have been her mentor for years and I can tell by a look she is the one on stage.

What I don’t know is why she would take the position of another artist to play when she can open play as a guest artist, not just as a student of the school.

Because from what I have heard her license was not revoked because what she did was not made public.

The hospital said they released her based on the fact that she was well-behaved.

Who came to receive her? Fiona asked. They couldn’t tell so I asked them to send me the details of who came to receive her.

And as he spoke he received footage from the hospital.

And Maxwell saw a man in a mask walking behind her and another man who covered his face in a half mask.

Derek, Maxwell thought.

Derek was the one who received her and the masked man Fiona pointed out.

Maxwell’s eyes are shrouded in mist. How dare he call her his friend and he does this to her.

He had a person who almost killed her sister released just to taunt him, he is using her just like he had done some months ago, Maxwell thought bitterly.

While Maxwell was fuming and Fiona and Cassie sat in disarray with the footage in front of them Turner called.

Hi Turner, Fiona spoke trying to even her voice.

Yes, I am in the back.

Yes, I will be out shortly and they too. Tell Ahn to sit a little. I am having a meeting with my partner, she said to him.

Turner said Ahn has been looking for you, you should go she said to Maxwell.
