CHAPTER 30

November

"Are you girls ready?" Mandy yelled from the living room "Yes, I am" I yelled back and looked at myself once more in the mirror.

Damn, I look good If only I was going to see Kal...

No, no thoughts of him required, tonight, I'm going to have fun and I won't let anything stop me.

I pulled my little black dress lower a bit, smiled to the mirror, and left to the living room.

When we got The Harvey, the place was packed per usual, and it reminded me of the time I came here on my birthday and the hot sex I got in addition.

"Hey, Mandy" a dude yelled when he saw Mandy. I don't even know how he saw her but, he did.

I could tell Casper didn't want to be here, he looked off most of the time.

"Time to have fun bitches," Mandy yelled and we went to the table the dude reserved for us.

"So, Ezeh this is my friend I told you about" she started, gesturing to me "November, Nov this is Ezeh" she said, and we shook hands.

He was tall and fine in his own way, but he was not Kalmon.

The way he was looking at me made me weird in a very bad way.

I felt like I was cheating on Kalmon which is weird too because, I'm not dating the guy and we are currently not speaking but that didn't stop me from feeling this way.

Into the night, I felt more irritated with myself, there were times when he'd put his hand on my shoulder or find a way to touch my thigh.

It was horrible and I couldn't wait for it to be over.

"So, what do you think about Ezeh??" Sally asked me when we got home.

We were currently in my room and the girls won't just let me be.

"He's okay" I told them, much to their disappointment.

"And that's it?? Guy what the fuck?" Mandy said "Look, I'd appreciate it if you guys would just let me be, I'm tired and I need to sleep" I told them and covered myself with my duvet.

Before leaving my room, I heard Nifise say "we can't blame her, her heart is someone else's we can force her"

Finally, someone with some sense in this house.

I Hate Mondays!

Mandy took the wheels today and she's driving us to school and guess who got shotgun? Yeah, me.

All the while Mandy was driving, she was giving side looks. I could tell that she wanted to talk about what happened on Friday.

I mean I know I said I'd check him out, I didn't say I'll like and date him.

When she pulled over, we said our goodbyes and promised to meet at our spot.

The day was quiet boring and to add it up, I wasn't having any serious lectures so, I went to the bench close to the parking lot to sit.

"Hey" and all too familiar voice greeted from behind me.

"Ezeh" I said when I turned around

"How are you?" He asked Ugh

" I'm okay, what are you doing here??" I asked him because, I know he doesn't go to our university.

"Mandy told me you weren't having any lectures, so I thought to come see you and keep you company " he explained, scratching the back of his head.

"Oh, of course she did" I replied, and he smiled "I had fun of Friday"

I didn't

"Yeah, me too" I said, giving him a fake smile.

Someone please tell this dude to let me be.

"Anyway, I was hoping you might want to grab dinner with me—"

"She's not interested" a voice said from behind me, another familiar voice, I didn't even turn to know who it was.

"And who are you?" Ezeh asked him "Her boyfriend" he said and that got my attention.

"Kalmon" I said as I looked at him "You're not her boyfriend, if you were, she wouldn't have gone out with me and tell me she had a good time, please get lost" Ezeh yelled.

"Let's go babe" Kalmon said grabbing my hand, when he saw that I was making no move to start walking, he turned to me, eyes wide.

"Who do think you are?" My words finally come.

"What are you even doing here?" I asked him

"I'm here for you" he replied softly.

Almost had me but I won't give in all to easily.

"Let's go November " Ezeh said, grabbing my hand.

"Don't fucking touch her" Kalmon growled

I could tell Ezeh was scared but he wanted to stand his ground.

We were already gaining attention.

"Touch her one more time, I dare you" Kalmon threatened, moving close to him.

"Kalmon! Stop it" I yelled but he didn't listen to me "Kal!" I yelled again and he turned, He walked over to me and grabbed my hand "You're mine, you hear me? Mine" he growled as he pulled me close, so close that I could inhale his breath, his cologne messing up my senses.

I almost forgot what it felt like to be close to him like this.

"And anyone that tried to come in between? Will regret they ever did" He said.

His words just made me angry.

He has ignored me for weeks, I went to his office and he said the wrong thing, he didn't even have the decency to run after me and make things right. He had to wait until he felt threatened then, he shows up here like a knight in shining black suit to what? Sweep me off my feet with words?? Nah man.

"Let go of me" I yelled But of course, he didn't, he pulled me closer.

"Get into the car, you're coming with me, I've given you time to yourself and I tried to stay away from you, now? I can't anymore, you're coming with me whether you want to or not" he explained.

"Let go of me!" I yelled again.

"When I do, you're going to get into the car, understood?" He asked "You're not the boss of me, I can do whatever the hell I want to do and right now, I don't want to see your face" I spat "I'm going with Ezeh " for a moment, I forgot he was there "Don't test me, princess, you're mine goddamnit" he said dangerously close to my ear.

"You leave me no choice" he said and before I knew what was happening, I was in Kalmon's arms.

"Let me down" I yelled but it fell on deaf ears.

"I'm enjoying my view " he said instead, and he took me to his car.
