Chapter 285 Aunt Tracy is Injured?
Allan's motorcade moved to leave Damian's luxurious mansion slowly. And Damian followed his departure through his eyes. There was a hint of jealousy there.
"Sir? Sir? Are you listening to us? Excuse me? We have to go now!" someone exclaimed, breaking Damian's reverie.
"Ah, yes? I wasn't paying attention to what you were saying!" Allan stammered.
A paramedic carrying an IV, exhaled.
"We told you we'd be leaving soon, could you move inside a little? We need to save this woman's life as soon as possible! We're afraid she'll lose more blood, sir! That's what you said!" one of the paramedics exclaimed back.
"Ah, sorry! I'll move in! Of course! Help my aunt! She's my only parent now! Oh my God, Aunt Tracy...hang on, Bi! Help my Auntie, Sir!" cried Damian frantically.
Damian stammered and then scooted further in to give the paramedics room to enter who had done the first treatment earlier before the aunt was put into the ambulance.
The ambulance closed after a few paramedics entered, while in front of it someone lay very weak.
Her eyes were slightly closed, allowing Damian to hold the old woman's hand lovingly.
Damian didn't expect it and he was a little blurry at that moment because his eyes were hit by the soil from a flower pot in his house that was thrown by his uncle. The uncle wanted to stab her with a knife that Damian had thrown earlier, but suddenly a woman pushed Damian, so the knife hit his left waist. And Aunt Tracy fell backwards where Damian was right there and caught him and hugged him and laid him on the floor slowly.
While the uncle was screaming in surprise and calling his injured wife's name he retreated backwards and that's when the police arrived. The uncle looked shocked and dazed and then froze with a blank stare. Injuring his wife was something he had never thought about even though he had betrayed her several times by playing with other women. But deep down he loved his wife very much.
Damian did not care about his uncle's condition and carried Auntie out with the police who were about to arrest her. Damian also begged for a temporary reprieve to accompany his aunt to the hospital, of course under the supervision of the police accompanying the ambulance.
Damian took out his mobile phone as if talking to someone, his family lawyer. Then he put his mobile phone back in. It wasn't long before the ambulance arrived at the nearest hospital and pushed the patient through several duty doctors and the doctor asked for the operating theatre to be prepared as soon as possible.
Damian continued to follow but his steps were stopped in front of the operating theatre by a Doctor.
"Sorry, sir! You can't go inside, please wait in front!" the doctor said.
Some policemen approached Damian and said, "Sir, sorry! But you must come with us immediately to the police station for questioning and arrest."
"I'm not going! Are you crazy? I'm not going anywhere! I just want to see my aunt safe! She's in surgery right now!" said Damian, irritated and angry.
"But the procedure is..." said the policeman as he learnt from the data they had received that Damian was not a random person. He was one of the highest-ranking military officers in the country. That's why the policeman had given permission, but they were worried that if they didn't bring Damian then it would also violate the rules.
Damian stared at one of the policemen and punched the wall next to him.
BUGH!
"Don't tell me the procedure! I know the procedure! I'm just asking for a little reprieve! Don't you understand? Do you have no heart? If you don't believe me, and are afraid of me running away, then you can handcuff me! But leave me here for a while! Until my aunt is fine and wakes up! That's all I ask!" Damian snapped back.
"But the procedure..." The policeman was about to speak again.
Damian looked at him angrily, Damian had already started to clench his hands and raise his fists when someone spoke.
"Hold on, Damian! Don't make things worse! Mr Police! We've requested a formal suspension, here's the letter! We'll come as soon as Mr Lions' family is safe! At least for the next three days! And during that time we'll be in charge! Besides, as a military man, Mr Lions will be brought and questioned in a military court! We'll take charge! How's that?" exclaimed one of the men in military uniform.
The policeman stared and took the letter and then nodded!
"Alright, then we'll leave! Thank you for the information!" He saluted and then shook his hand.
The uniformed man with several stars on his shoulder nodded and said.
"Thank you for your cooperation too!" he called back.
The policemen walked away and left the hospital.
Damian, who was aware of the presence of his superior officer, stood his ground and saluted.
"Lower, your hands Mr Lions! Sit down, tell me what a mess you've made of this! You're giving me a hard time! You think it's easy to issue a suspension letter on short notice, huh? You owe me an explanation!" he exclaimed as he walked towards one of the seats.
Damian lowered his hands and walked slowly, "I'm sorry, commander!"
"Never mind! I don't need your apology! Tell me what happened! It's a good thing your lawyer contacted me earlier, otherwise..." her boss exclaimed.
Damian sat next to him looking down at the floor beneath him. His tears fell without a sob.
The person turned around and patted his shoulder.
"Never mind, you can tell me when you're better! How is your aunt?" she asked softly.
Damian wiped away his tears and looked at his superior.
"My aunt...is being operated on for being stabbed by my dagger, commander! The story..." Damian began to tell his story, even though the commander gave him time but Damian did not want to delay his commander's kindness to tell him what happened.
Allan and Eve's car began to enter the grounds of the luxurious mansion with high gates and a long driveway until they reached the front door of Allan's house.
Eve saw that nothing had changed along the way to Allan's mansion.
Eve seemed to be drawn to the past when she lived there as Allan's pretend fiancée and later married Allan.
Everything was like Dejavu for her.
The mansion has many memories for Eve, there is joy, there is sorrow, heartache, but not infrequently there is laughter and Eve's growing love for Allan there. And above all there was of course the crying when he left her.
Leaving her love who she thought was forever and would never set foot in the mansion again.
Allan got out of his car while Eve was silent and stunned while holding the sleeping Aleena.
Allan looked back, because it turned out that Eve did not get out of her car. Then Allan turned around and approached Eve again.
"Why didn't you get off?" asked Allan looking at Eve who was just as pensive.
Eve didn't know what to answer, so she hugged Aleena even tighter and was speechless.
