Chapter 284 Claire Arrested for Attempted Murder?
Allan shook the hand of one of the chiefs of police who came to the scene.
"Thank you Mr Watson for your cooperation! We will most likely call you to give some information later! We ask for your cooperation!" the chief exclaimed as he shook Allan's hand.
"You're welcome. I'll be there! Give my regards to the commissioner! And my thanks for your help!" exclaimed Allan again with a tired smile.
"We will, Mr Watson! Thank you again! We'll be going!" exclaimed the regional police chief.
Allan nodded tiredly.
Just as Allan and Bert were about to walk to their car, he suddenly heard a woman scream.
"Let me go! I'm innocent! I'm just a victim here! Why are you dragging me? I don't know anything, Allan! Hey! Mr Watson! Tell them I'm innocent! Don't just keep quiet! I'm Eve's brother after all! I'm Eve's cousin! So we're still family, aren't we? Aren't you ashamed that your good name will be tarnished by having your cousin-in-law arrested like a criminal?" Claire shouted in annoyance and sarcasm.
Allan, who was walking instantly stopped, and turned his head towards Claire. Claire felt a little relieved because she thought Allan would help her. But then her face turned sour when she heard Allan's words.
"Family you say? Who do you call family? Eve? The family that you ruthlessly expelled and took away all her rights, is that what you mean, Claire? Eve's family has been dead for a long time! Ever since you drove Eve and her late sister to the streets! So don't act like you're her family now!" Allan said irritably.
Claire froze, her face turning pale.
"Take them, sir! Let the law decide whether you're guilty or not!" said an annoyed Allan.
"Wait a minute, but on what basis am I being arrested? As you know, I had nothing to do with this incident! I really don't know anything!" said Claire, defending herself.
"I'm sorry Miss Adams, we had to bring you in on charges of intentionally putting a person's life in danger by distributing photos that lead to fanatical fan opinions and on charges of attempted murder!" said the police chief again.
"What? I-I'm not...." Claire shook her head quickly as her face turned slightly pale. ' How did Allan know that he was the one who sent the pictures of Eve and Allan and his cousin's niece Aleena to social media? But wait a minute an attempted murder charge? Who am I trying to kill?'
'Police officer, wait a minute...where's the evidence? I didn't send it! And what, that, attempted murder? Who am I trying to kill?" said Claire sarcastically.
"Don't try to arrest me! You don't have any proof! I can sue you back!" said Claire arrogantly, staring at the police and looking at Allan fiercely.
Allan, who was listening to her, laughed, "Hahaha...evidence you say? I have plenty of evidence! Bert, show her!"
"Yes, sir! Bert took out something from his trouser pocket. Some photos and also a tracking paper from Allan's IT that Allan had requested from his men to trace the matter of the fans who came to Eve's apartment which made Eve almost injured and then disappeared were taken by Damian.
Bert shows some evidence where it is clear that Claire instigated the little girl who was Aleena's playground schoolmate by luring her with toys and candy. And another photo also shows Claire instigating several mothers at the school where Aleena goes to school which makes Eve humiliated and there is also seen Claire wearing a veil so as not to be noticed and a hat and aiming her camera which captures a photo of Allan embracing Eve and in another photo she captures when Allan picks up Aleena at school without Eve knowing.
Claire was about to speak up that it wasn't her, but she was silenced when another photo caught her blowing her cover when she was happy to get some good shots. Although she opened it in her car, it was still very clear that it was her.
Another was a paper containing Allan's IT team's investigation that Claire shared the photo using social media. Claire's foolishness was that even though she used a fake account, the mobile phone used to upload it was done through her mobile phone where the IMEI was detected.
Claire was speechless, she was upset as to why she was in such a hurry! Why not use the public computers from the library! All she knew was that she was upset that Robert wouldn't come back to her even though she had seen him interacting with Eve at the company where he worked. "I'm sorry Miss, someone has filed a report against you! You are accused of the attempted murder of Mr Allan's wife, Mrs Evelyn Adams a few years ago, three or four years ago to be exact!" said the police chief.
"What? Eve? So Eve is the one who reported me? Damn you, Eve! You promised you wouldn't bring any charges against me! But in fact..." Claire said with annoyance and anger, her face turning red at the same time as Eve walked slightly towards Allan.
Claire saw her getting angry, "Are you happy now, Eve? Destroying the only family you have left? Allan has destroyed Dad's business! Your uncle! Then you're not satisfied and are still destroying me?"

Eve was still silent, she didn't understand and she didn't do anything that Claire was accused of. Eve looked at Allan in confusion.

"Did you do all this, Allan?" Eve asked Allan.
Allan was about to answer but Claire shouted instead.
"I need an explanation Allan..." Eve exclaimed as she linked her arms across her chest.
"Ah, that's .... I'm tired! I want to get to the mansion quickly! Let's go back to the mansion! Don't you miss me, Eve?" Allan pulled Eve and hugged her in front of everyone, making Eve embarrassed and thrashing in Allan's arms.
"Allan! Answer my question first!" Eve who continued to struggle, but instead was picked up by Allan bridal style and went to take her to his car.
