Chapter 70 Chapter 70 Specialty Shops

Chapter 70 Chapter 70 Specialty Shops
Luke’s POV

The only place a realistic silicone mask could be gotten in Mandena was not on this street. But not to worry, I knew exactly where I could get it.

Judging by what it was by the time now, they’d already closed. And then, I resolved to go the next morning.

I sat on the bed edge and took off my shoes, preparing to sleep when I heard a knock on the door.

Immediately, I smiled.

I didn’t need anyone to tell me who was at the door. I knew exactly who was knocking. Were they not the service providers I ordered for the night?

Scoff!

I walked to the door and opened it. By this time, they both walked into my room in a dress that signaled they were ready for the night because they were not wearing anything other than panties and bras.

Was this not the best of my life? Lol

Later in the morning, after we fucked all through the night like I had used some pill to make them know how manly I was in bed, and after they both left, I placed a call to Gabriel.

“Hey!” I sounded on the call. But he didn’t even greet back. He sounded as though he didn’t want me calling him.

“What is it?!”

“You shouldn’t be calling me!”

“Relax…” I chuckled on the phone as I tried to pacify him.

“I need money now,” I said to him, knowing fully well I couldn’t use fake transfers for every transaction. These types of apps always have limits, and it did not even matter if you were using a pro version of it.

The free version allowed two transactions in one month, while the pro version allowed eight in one month. So, if this was the case, would I be using fake transactions for every transaction I did?

“But we agreed to…”

“Don’t tell me what we agreed. I need to get some things done for you, and I don’t fucking wanna get caught. Send the money now, or I won't do the job. Simple!” I sounded very strict at him, my voice very threatening.

“Okay, okay…” Gabriel agreed.

“I will send some money now. Please hold on.”

Gabriel’s POV

I hung up immediately and launched my bank app from my phone.

I always had Luke’s account details, so there was no need to ask him to send them again.

I scrolled right into my beneficiary list and selected his number.

When I selected his number, “$30,000,” I thought to myself as I input it into the provided inbox.

I sighed. My bank account was almost empty now. Immediately I sent this amount, there wouldn’t be much left for me. And judging that I still needed to balance Luke with more money after the job was done, I exhaled another deep sigh.

I was not going to have anything in my account anymore.

But thankfully, I still had a second account and third account with little funds in them, which I could sustain myself with.

And if worse came to worst, luckily, I had a few gemstones kept in the bank. I could sell those to raise some money. And with Rebecca gone out of the picture, just maybe my business could boom again, and every one of these would become a past tense.

I closed my eyes tightly and opened them again. Thus, then, I hit my finger on the send button.

“Action Denied: Your account has been frozen. Transactions cannot be processed at this time. Please visit your nearest branch or contact our support team for further information.”

My heart raced immediately. I couldn’t believe what I just read. “My account frozen?!” I froze instantly.

So many thoughts rushed in and out of my mind as if my mind was a spring and thoughts were gushing out of it.

“Did they find out about all I have done?”

“Did Rebecca take a step before I could act?”

“Am I going to be arrested?!”

My hand shook as if I was diagnosed with tremor. “Should I contact support or not?” I paced around the room slowly, my hands to my jaws, evidently worried.

Just then, Luke’s call came in again.

“Are you going to send it or not so I can know whether to proceed or abort?!” his voice sharp and threatening.

I did not know if perhaps I told Luke about what was happening now, if he would go on with the job and get it done irrespectively, and I could just pay him later if this issue was resolved. But would it be resolved?

“Huh, ahem…” I cleared my throat.

“Seems there is a problem, Luke,” I said.

“Don’t fucking tell me that nonsense, Gabriel. Fucking make the transfer now and let’s get it done.”

“She froze my account, Luke. It’s getting tougher now. I can’t make transfers until I resolve this.”

“Oh! Really?” Luke chuckled as if he expected this.

“That fucker is a brilliant bitch. Okay, don’t worry about it for now, Gabriel. Go fix it. I will fix her.” He hung up the phone, and I was just shocked.

“Did he just agree to do the job just like that?” I wondered.

Hence, I closed my eyes again, summoning the courage to place a call to support, hoping desperately this was not what I thought.

“Hello, I just tried to make a transfer from my bank app, and it says that my account was frozen. Why has this happened?”

My heart raced, but I didn’t show it. I crafted my voice like an innocent man who had committed no crime but was just concerned for his account.

“Your bank account number is 344563789, right?” a feminine voice sounded at the other end of the call.

“Yes, that’s correct,” I answered.

“Your name is Gabriel Moretti. Is that right, sir?”

“Yes, that’s correct,” I answered again.

“We apologize for the inconvenience, sir. But it seems you have to come to the nearest bank branch. It seems your account was frozen by a bot and not by us, sir. Please come as quickly as possible,” the representative said, and just then, I heaved a sigh of relief.

“They know nothing of what I have done,” I muttered. Then, I got dressed, slid into my car, and drove right straight to the bank.
