Chapter 58 Chapter 58) Woke up.
Standing next to the bed was Jonathan.

“Please wake up”. He muttered, with his hands placed together as he hoped for Priscilla to open her eyes.

He was afraid that Alejandro was going to come into the room at any moment.

And before something dreadful like that happened, he hoped that Priscilla would have woken up, so that his head was going to be saved, with his neck intact.

“Please”. He pleaded again, even after knowing that she might not be able to hear whatever he was saying to her.

But, his hope soon turned into reality, because there were movements caused by Priscilla.

Her body moved, and his (Jonathan's) eyes lit up as he continued to watch her, until eventually… the moment he had been waiting for came to pass.

Priscilla’s eyes opened as she let out a low groan.

“Ah”.

She hissed because of the severe headache she felt deep inside her head, before she struggled and sat up on the bed.

She was massaging her temples when she saw Jonathan. “What happened?”. She went straight to the point and asked him, as she stopped massaging her temples.

“You fainted yesterday after having a terrible fever, Luna Priscilla. But I am glad you are alright”. He replied to her and placed his palm on her forehead before she could say anything else to him.

‘Her fever has subsided greatly’. He said in his mind, and that was enough for him to sigh in relief.

Throughout the night, he didn't sleep a wink because he had been watching her and examining her body temperature from time to time.

And as a result of that, he was experiencing a banging headache right now, and he had dark circles underneath his eyes.

That was to show how dedicated he was to his work. But, he had done extra because of Alejandro. He really didn't want to be on his bad side.

After letting go of her forehead, he went over to the table where his medical bag was, with some other medical equipment and drugs which were neatly arranged on the table.

He had organized them in that way for quick access like now.

Picking up the small ceramic bowl on the table, he mixed a cold tonic, before he returned to the bed and gave it to Priscilla, who was trying to process what happened yesterday.

She stared at him for a while, but he did not give up and continued to offer the bowl of tonic to her, while hoping that she was going to take it from him.

‘I fainted?’. She thought to herself and collected the bowl from Jonathan, after which she took it in one shot, before returning the bowl to him, and he proudly collected it from her and left her side.

‘I had fainted?’. She was still trying to believe this when her mind shifted to the scene she saw.

That place. Those children she saw.

What was all of that? And, what did they mean by that? She did not understand any of that.

But, enough was enough. She had decided not to think too much, as she did not want to fall sick again.

No matter how difficult it was, she swore she was going to find the werewolf mystics and bring Demira back.

Until then, it was time to make those people pay.

She was going to go to the Joaken pack. And just like the way she and Demira had killed Sam, she was going to expose him to everyone, kill him, and make things right, so that wherever Demira was, she would be rest assured and feel at peace.

Jonathan, who stood next to the table, turned to the bed, but flinched when he saw Priscilla standing.

He had not expected it, that was why he flinched the way he did.

“You should not be standing, Luna Priscilla. You have to rest”. He tried to persuade her.

But she? She frowned as she said to him, “I have had enough of this nonsense”.

As soon as she finished saying that to him, she walked past him and headed outside the bedroom.

For a few seconds, Jonathan was taken aback, but when he realized what was happening, he hurried out of the bedroom and went after her.

“Please, you must not move this much, Luna Priscilla. It's not good for your health”. He said to her, but she was not ready to listen to him and kept on walking forward, not paying attention to the warriors who were trying to stop her, or the maidservants who moved out of her way.

She was not interested in any of them, as her only focus was on Alejandro.

She wanted his permission so that she would leave the mansion and go to the Joaken pack. But if he refused to let her go, she knew that she was not going to sit back and watch.

No matter how many attempts and failures, she was going to make it out of the mansion, because she simply could not allow that bastard to keep on enjoying living freely after what he had done to her.

She was furious when she imagined something like that, and it made her blood boil, with the veins in her neck and temples popping out. She simply could not endure it anymore.

Other than that, she wanted to confront him (Kayson) and confirm if he had truly buried her or not, as she did not fully believe what Alejandro had said.

From her own perspective, she felt like he must have told a lie. That was not impossible.

She arrived outside Alejandro's room, and after knocking and no one opened the door or ordered her to come in, she was about to open the door herself.

Though she halted in her tracks when someone spoke to her. It was a familiar voice which she despised.

‘Don’t tell me it's her'. She thought, and turning to her side and seeing that it was Kira, she furrowed her eyebrows.

But, she couldn't be bothered by such an insignificant lady like her, so she chose to ignore her.

She returned her gaze to the door and grabbed the door knob, about to push the door open, but she did not understand why Kira would grab her hand and stop her.

Seriously, why did trouble come for her even when she tried to respect herself and avoid trouble?
