Chapter 57 Jessi

Chapter 57 Jessi
Jessi had decided she needed to go home to handle the Jake situation in person. She also had a lot on her mind. A talk with her parents was long overdue. Plus, she had heard her long-time crush was getting married.

Her plan was to finally let him know how she felt and see if he had any feelings for her. That way if he said know, she could finally move on and get over him. She had set out to date Jake to try and forget about him. Her crush went all the way back to when she was eight years old.

He left that summer for special forces. Yes, he was eighteen and ten years older than her. But that didn't matter. His mom was almost twenty years younger than his dad. When Kristin his mom, was eighteen, she fell in love with Steel the VP who was thirty-six. She accidently got pregnant and he made her his old lady.

KC or Kristopher Clause, yes, his mom was a Christmas fanatic, she went crazy during the season. When he was four, she had a car wreck, and not long after died due to internal injuries. Steel was devastated, and KC remembered that most of all. When he was eight, Steel finally gave in and made Casey his old lady.

He wanted a mother for his son, and Casey had fell in love with him. He soon fell in love with her too. Casey had been a great step mom to KC. She also was about fifteen years younger than Steel. They'd been happily married for almost twenty years.

KC did 3 tours in the special forces. He just got out about a year ago. Right away he prospected for the club. Making his dad proud of him even more. Jessi had sworn she'd never marry a club member. But her heart was telling her otherwise.

She arrived at the clubhouse in the afternoon during the week. Her parents were there and she was dying to see KC. She hadn't told them she was coming. Paris rushed over and hugged her.

"Honey! What are you doing here? Why aren't you in class?" Paris asked.

"We need to talk about that, but later, ok?" Jessi begged.

"Ok." Paris agreed.

"Hey where's my hug? Too old to hug your old dad?" Bishop asked.

"No dad, I'm not." Jessi replied.

After she hugged her dad, she looked over and saw KC heading her way. He grinned big. She returned his smile. He wrapped her in a big hug.

"Hey cutie." KC replied.

"Hey." Jessi returned. "I heard you were getting married?"

"Yep." He replied but something seemed off.

Just then, Jessi heard a voice she had hoped to never hear again. She tensed up. KC looked at her confused. Then Jake made an appearance as well.

"KC, are you ready to go?" Danielle asked.

"Ah yeah, in a minute. Danielle, I'd like you to meet." He started.

"We know each other." Jessi interrupted.

Jessi walked off towards Jake. She told him they needed to talk privately and they walked out back and sat at a picnic table. Jessi could not believe the crush of her life was marrying Danielle! Mean girl, who made her and MJ's lives miserable all through high school. This could not be happening. First, she needed to focus on one problem at a time.

"Look Jake. I wanted to do this face to face. We had fun together in high school. But things have changed. I've changed. Going away to college, the distance, the person I've become just doesn't work for us anymore. I really care a lot about you. But I am not in love with you. I'm sorry, and I hope you don't hate me." Jessi explained.

Jake let out a huge breath. Then chuckled. "I'm so glad you feel that way. I've realized it as well. But I wasn't about to break your heart if you loved me. I care a lot about you too, and I'm not in love with you either."

"That's a huge relief. I'd like to be friends?" Jessi asked.

"That would be great." Jake agreed.

They hugged and she went off to find KC. There were a few things she needed to tell him about his fiancé. She didn't know how, but she was gonna give it her best to stop that trainwreck of a marriage to be. As she stepped in the back hallway she ran into Danielle.

It actually looked like she was waiting on her. Danielle grabbed her arm and pushed her back against the wall. Jessi shoved her off of her. The days of her bullying her were long gone. Danielle took a step back.

"Messy Jessi. Don't even think of telling any bullshit lies to KC." Danielle warned.

"I'm not scared of you. You may have been a mean bully and a total bitch to me and MJ but that was in high school. Take a look around, we're no longer in high school and you're on my turf now." Jessi warned.

"I can make your life a living hell again! You forget I have connections. Not to mention I'll play the victim card with KC. Oh KC, your cousin is so in love with you, how disgusting! She threatened me to stay away from you. I'm so scared she's gonna hurt me." Danielle fake cried.

"KC is not my cousin. He won't believe that. He knows I'm not like that." Jessi denied.

"He will when he sees my torn shirt and bruises you gave me." Danielle smirked. "Do you really want to take the chance he'll believe you over me? After all I'm the love of his life, the one he asked to marry him, and the woman who's been in his bed for the last several months."

Jessi stormed past her. She was about to cry and would not give Danielle the satisfaction. She saw KC standing talking to one of the prospects. She looked past him to the door and almost ran from the room. He called her name but she ignored him. She got in her car and went to her mom and dad's house.

Jessi was on the bed crying when her mom walked into her room. She sat down on the bed beside her rubbing her back. Paris had known there was something going on that was bothering her daughter. Jessi wiped her eyes and sat up.

"You want to tell me what's wrong so I can help you figure it out?" Paris asked.

"My life. That's what’s wrong. I hate college, I hate the degree I picked out, I dated a boy to try and get over another one, I just ended it with him as it wasn't fair, the mean bully from school is back, and she's getting the guy." Jessi sobbed.

"Wow, ok, let's handle this one thing at a time." Paris explained.

"College?" Paris asked.

"I hate it there. I love being there with MJ, but she's in love with Jared, and her classes. I hate it all. The classes, the place, being away from all of my family. I don't want to do that for a living, but you and dad paid so much. I'm such a failure." Jessi sobbed again.

"First of all, don't worry about the money. Your happiness is the most important thing to me and your father. You hate it? Fine. Quit, and find something you love to do." Paris replied.

"You won't be mad? I wasted so much time and money. It makes me sick." Jessi explained.

"Do not worry about that. Let's work on what we can change and not on what we can't." Paris explained.

"Ok I can do that." Jessi agreed.

"So, it's good you ended a relationship that wasn't right for you. How did Jake take it?" Paris asked.

"Really well. He said he had felt the same. We agreed to be friends." Jessi replied.

"Now, the next issue. Bully?" Paris asked.
