Chapter 54 The Great Escape
“MJ found out that Cindy’s brother Greg works at Lapco.” Marty said. 

“The same place that does our drug screens?” Jared asked. 

“Exactly.” Marty said. 

“Okay so maybe the guy doesn’t like me, but what does that have to do with MJ?” Jared asked.

“Since you've been gone, he’s been asking MJ out a lot. And Thursday he grabbed her arm roughly when she turned him down again. Seems he’s been asking her every day since you left her.” Marty explained. 

“Mother! The water cooler too, I remember now! I knew that guy gave me a weird vibe. Oh God, what’s he doing to her? I think I’m going to be sick; this is all my fault.” Jared said. 

“You need to get your shit together. I’ve called Talia’s investigator and the police are involved. My parents and half the MC are on their way here too. We’ve got to find this fcker!” Marty said. 

MJ’S POV 

MJ awoke sometime later in a strange bed. She felt nauseated but managed to go to the door. It’s locked. She went to the small bathroom, washed her face, and tried to remember. She went back and sat on the bed. It took a while but little by little she remembered what happened. Panic hits her, what has he done to her? How long was she out? What was he going to do to her? 

Luckily, she didn’t feel violated. She checked her whole body for any signs of injury and found nothing, thankfully. 

“You’re finally awake. Are you hungry?” Greg asked. 

“Where am I?” MJ asked. 

“You’re home.” Greg answered. 

“This is not my home. I live with my brother.” MJ responded. 

“This is your home if I say it is!” Greg shouted. 

“Yes, I’m hungry.” MJ said. 

“Good, I’ll go fix you something to eat.” Greg replied. 

He left and locked the door behind him. MJ searched for an escape or anything she could use as a weapon. But no luck. Greg came back with her food. He watched her eat. He was seriously creeping her out. After she ate, he took her dishes and left. She’s scared of what he’ll do to her. She knew she was no match for him and wouldn’t be able to stop him if he tried to force himself on her. Think MJ, think!!

“What’s the one thing that puts guys off women? Hmmm, I wonder if that would work?” MJ thought. 

Greg came back to her room. 

“Do you need anything else?” Greg asked. 

“Well, this is kind of embarrassing, but I need tampons and Midol. Get the box that has regular and PM in it. I need the PM to help me sleep because my cramps hurt so bad.” MJ said. 

“Hey baby, there’s no need to be embarrassed. You’re a woman, it’s part of you. Anything else” Greg asked. 

“Candy bars, chips, and some red wine.” MJ said.

“Anything for you baby.” Greg said. 

It was all she could do to smile and not cringe at his pet name. God, she hoped this bought her time. Another plan was forming in her brain too. Greg came back later with all the stuff she asked for. 

“Is this the right brand? I hope I got everything you need.” Greg said. 

“Yes, you did good. Why don’t you get us a couple of wine glasses? And I’ll use the bathroom.” MJ said. 

“Okay be right back.” Greg said. 

Greg left and came back with 2 glasses. He poured 2 glasses of wine. 

“Darn, I forgot my Midol in the bathroom. Will you get it for me?” MJ said. 

“Anything for you.” Greg said. 

He sat his glass down and went to the bathroom. MJ took the PM capsules she had hidden in her hand, apart and poured in his drink quickly. That’s why she asked for red, to hide the medicine. 

“Here baby.” Greg said.

“Thanks, let’s toast to new beginnings!” MJ said. 

“New beginnings!” Greg repeated. 

“Bottoms up!” MJ said. 

They both finished their wine.

“Let’s lie down and cuddle. It will make my belly feel better.” MJ said. 

“Okay baby.” Greg said. 

MJ wanted him to lie down so he wouldn’t notice the medicine take effect. She was afraid he’d run out before he passed out. An hour later he was snoring like a lumberjack. MJ slowly turned towards him and as gently as she could put her hand in his pocket for the keys. 

He held her tighter and she froze. He started snoring again. Finally, after several tries, she had the keys. She grabbed her pillow and put it between them and somehow managed to maneuver his arms off her onto it. 

Slowly she got off the bed. She went to the door and tried one key after another until she got the right one. She unlocked the door as quietly as she could, she got it open and slipped out it. She locked it back behind her. 

“Let’s see how you like being locked up.” MJ thought.

She searched for a phone or even a cell phone but found none. She looked at the keys. There was a car key on the ring. She went outside and found his car. 

“Please work, please start.” MJ said. 

She got in the car and put the key in the ignition. It started, she let out a thank you God sign and put the car in gear. 

“Where the hell am I? Where do I go?” MJ said. 

She started pushing buttons on the display panel, and finally a GPS app popped up. She put in the nearest police station and followed the directions. It took 25 minutes to get to the police station. She pulled right at the front door and ran inside. 

“I need help!!” MJ yelled. 

“Ma’am, can I help you?” A Detective asked. 

“My name is MJ and I was kidnapped Saturday morning. I managed to escape.” MJ explained.

“You’re safe now. Do you know who kidnapped you?” Detective asked. 

“His name is Greg. I managed to get away in his car. It’s out front.” MJ said. 

“Okay stay right here.” Detective said. 

The Detective went outside and got the car registration. He pulled his picture up on the police computer. 

“Is this him?” Detective asked. 

“Yes.” MJ said. 

MJ told him the whole story. They pulled up the GPS and did a reverse lookup. The cops went to arrest Greg. MJ’s family was called. Her mom and dad along with several of the MC had already arrived at their apartment. They were waiting while their tech guy and the investigator got the info they needed to find MJ.
