Chapter 72 Double Twin Power
Luckily for the twins, Aunt Sophia's mind linked their mom to their movements. As the magician opened the portal, she put on her hidden self and followed them into the portal. Sophia watched Idan and Iren’s glowing bodies, and she nodded her head. They were sister’s children; they shared their glow. She wondered if they would have frost heat or just brilliant light. The magician tried to capture their energy, but to his disappointment, he felt heated ice by just touching the external circle of their light. Two burns at once appeared on his hand: frostbite and third-degree burns. He screamed in pain.
Sophia’s heart raced as she stepped into the swirling portal, her senses heightened by the magical energy crackling around her. She could see Idan and Iren illuminated in a radiant glow, their ethereal light intertwining as they stood before the magician. The air shimmered with tension; she could tell this was no ordinary encounter. The magician, now writhing on the ground, clutched his burned hand, panic flashing in his eyes. “What have you done?” he gasped, struggling to comprehend the source of the frosty heat that had scorched him. “You little brats! You can’t just—”
But before he could utter another word, Sophia stepped forward, an air of authority surrounding her. “You should have known better than to toy with powers you don’t understand,” she said, calm yet commanding. She had felt the connection between her sister's children and knew they were bound by something more significant.
Idan and Iren turned to see their aunt, their expressions shifting from confusion to relief. “Aunt Sophia!” they exclaimed in unison, feeling their strength begin to swell with her presence.
The magician attempted to rise but faltered under his newfound fear. “You’re not just some ordinary guardian,” he stammered, recognising the ancient magic around Sophia that pulsed like a heartbeat. You’re powerful!”
“Indeed,” she replied, raising her hand to summon a protective barrier around her and the twins, glowing with a dazzling, frosty light. “And you’ve underestimated what it means to meddle with demigods.”
Sophia channelled her energy swiftly, amplifying the twins’ glow further. Idan and Iren felt the warmth of their bond surge through them, igniting a fire within their frost-laden hearts. They stepped closer to their aunt, sharing a fierce determination.
“Let’s show him what we can do,” Iren whispered, his eyes flickering with defiance.
Idan nodded, his resolve solidifying. “Together.”
As the trio stood united, the magician scrambled back, dread replacing his earlier arrogance. The air thickened with the combined energy of the siblings and their aunt, creating a tempest of light and frost that engulfed the clearing.
“You’ve made a grave mistake,” Sophia warned, her voice echoing like thunder in the charged atmosphere. “Now, face the consequences of your greed!”
In that moment, the woods seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the inevitable clash between light and darkness to unfold.
Sophia emerges and confronts the magician. Cornered, he barely escapes, vowing to get even with this family.
As Sophia stood her ground, the air around her crackled with undeniable power. The magician, cornered and desperate, could feel the weight of his actions bearing down upon him. His eyes darted between the ethereal barrier created by Sophia and the glowing twins beside her. “Enough!” he shouted, a mixture of fury and fear lacing his voice. “You may have thwarted me today, but know this—I will have my revenge! This isn’t over!” With that, he raised his scorched hand, channeling the last remnants of his magic. A swirling vortex of shadows and sparks began to form, threatening to engulf him.
But as the vortex peaked, Sophia’s protective barrier expanded, shimmering fiercely against the dark magic. “Your threats are hollow,” she declared, her voice steady. “You’ve crossed a line you cannot uncross. You may escape today, but you will never escape the consequences of your actions.”
With a final rush of energy, the magician leapt into the vortex. It swallowed him whole, leaving a storm of shadows gradually fading into silence. The room fell still, the aftermath of his rage lingering in the air.
Idan and Iren looked at their aunt wide-eyed. “Will he come back?” Idan asked, his voice trembling slightly.
Sophia knelt beside them, her expression softening. “He may try, but we will be ready. We are stronger together, and he underestimates the power of family.”
Iren nodded, his confidence bolstered by Sophia’s words. “We’ll protect each other,” she said firmly.
Sophia smiled, feeling the warmth of their bond radiate like a beacon. “That’s right. As long as we stand united, no darkness can overcome us. He chose to face the wrong family today.”
Just then, the remnants of the magician's spell began to dissipate completely, leaving only echoes of his hostility in the air. Sophia rose, taking both of their hands in hers. “Let’s ensure that he understands the strength of our connection. Together, we’ll prepare for anything he might throw at us.”
The twins grinned a glint of determination in their eyes. They were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, united by the bond of family and the strength of their newfound powers.
Sophia emerges and confronts the magician. Cornered, he barely escapes with his life, vowing to get even with this family.
In an instant, Isabella stood beside her twin sister Sophia, flanked by her twin sons, Idan and Iren. Together, they showcased the true magnitude of their double twin powers, a force that resonated with ancient magic and unbreakable bonds. The floor crackled with energy as they turned to face the magician and the array of ancient creatures surrounding them, ready to show their strength. The magician, confident in his abilities and convinced he could vanish into the shadows, attempted to slip away. But he underestimated the unity of the twins; their connection was profound and synergistic. As the darkness enveloped him, it met a wall of shimmering light projected from the twins’ hands.
“You think you can escape?” Sophia called out, her voice steady and unwavering. “You’ll learn the true meaning of your folly!”
By mirroring their mothers’ movements, Idan and Iren extended their small hands toward the swirling shadows. With a sudden surge of energy, the twins unleashed a wave of magic that caught the magician off guard. The powerful forces converged, binding him in place, and his magic reflectedback at him.
“No! This cannot be!” he shouted in disbelief, panic flashing in his eyes as he realized he was outmatched. The ancient creatures watched in awe, captivated by the display of pure sibling synergy.
“Together!” Isabella commanded, and the four of them joined their powers, channeling their energy into a magnificent goblet that began to materialize before them—a vessel of light and magic, glowing with an ethereal aura.
“One… two… three!” they cried in perfect unison, their voices harmonizing in a crescendo of power.
With a blinding flash, the goblet absorbed the magician’s darkness, sealing him within its shimmering depths. The room echoed with the sound of his defeat, the air thick with a sense of finality. He was imprisoned for one thousand years, a fate that would serve as a reminder of their combined strength and resilience.
As the goblet settled into the center of their circle, a peaceful silence enveloped them. The ancient creatures, once menacing, were now filled with a newfound respect for the twins and their remarkable abilities. They had witnessed the triumph of light over darkness, a legacy that would be remembered for generations to come.
Both sets of twins returned home as if nothing had happened. Knowing that the younger twin would never trust strangers again and would continue the legacy. Sometimes instead of disciplining children it was better for them to learn from their experience.
