♥ Chapter 50 ♥

Aurora Evans.

I went back to eating my pancakes very calmly, the sound of the rain outside making everything very quiet.

- May I ask how old you are, Aurora? - Mr. Miller asked suddenly.

- Oh, I'm eighteen, sir. - I replied.

I could see the surprise in his eyes.

What's so surprising about that? My alphas aren't that old, Alex is nineteen and Tom is twenty, there's nothing to be surprised about.

- So young. Tell me, do you really love them? - I almost choked on my pancake.

- What? Why do you ask that out of the blue, Mr. Miller? - I question him very seriously.

- Maybe it's because you don't really love them, or maybe it's because they're paying you to pretend to be their companion!!! Those two are monsters! No one can love them like that all of a sudden! - His sister answered, bursting into the kitchen out of nowhere, her scream scaring me to death.

- Daughter... - Christina interrupted her.

- There's no such thing as a daughter, Mom! They're fucking monsters! They're aggressive! No one will ever love them! How can you think this girl loves them? I'm sure she's seeing your body... - I didn't even let her finish her sentence, I slapped her hard across the face.

- Listen here, you spoiled brat! I have no idea what they did to you or what you did to them! But I'll tell you one thing, I love those two more than anything in the world, I'd give my life for them. You don't know them like I know them, you don't see what I see, if my companions have done something bad in the past, for me it will remain in the past. Every society judges lupus alphas, but those two never did anything to me, on the contrary. They protected me from being abused, they saved me from being beaten up by a normal alpha, those two are always giving me love and affection, they look after me so well. So don't tell me I don't love them, because you don't fucking know!!! Now excuse me.

I walked past her, bumping into her shoulder angrily.

How could that bitch say that about my alphas? How does she have the nerve to call them monsters? I'm so angry! I don't care if she's their sister, but if I hear her say that about them again, I won't hold back. It doesn't matter what they did in the past, what matters to me is the present.

I accidentally bumped into Kaio because I was so distracted.

- Oops, sorry, Kaio. I didn't see you.

- No problem. - He spoke, but I could see his gaze on me.

He began to look me up and down, and I started to feel very uncomfortable with his gaze.

- Where are my brothers? - He asked.

- They're probably having a bath. - Or still asleep, I don't know.

I was surprised when he took a step towards me, I took a step back.

- What's wrong? Are you afraid of me?

- I don't like closeness, please keep your distance.

I jumped when he pinned me to the wall.

- I can give you more pleasure than those two. - He sniffed my neck.

No! Not that again! I won't go through that again!

I kneed his private parts, making him bend over, and pushed him away from me.

- You slut!

I was startled when the door was brutally opened, I looked over and saw Alex very angry, too angry. My mark was burning.

- How dare you touch our omega!!!? - He shouted so furiously, my ears hurt.

- I-I... - His brother couldn't even speak.

Alex ran past me so fast and grabbed his younger brother's neck, I put my hand over my mouth as he slammed the back of his brother's head into the wall with great force. Soon the rest of the family appeared, very frightened by the scene.

- A-Alex... Please let go of your brother. - His mother asked with tears in her eyes.

I noticed that Alex ignored him completely and squeezed Kaio's neck even tighter, and it started to turn purple.

I walked slowly over to him and carefully took his hand.

- Love, please, my love. Let him go, you're not the monster they all say you are. - He took a deep breath.

He threw his brother towards his family.

- This is going to be a little warning, Kaio. Lean on our omega again, because I promise you'll never see the sun again.

Alex took my hand and gently pulled me towards his room. I saw Tom leaning against the door just watching, but I knew he was holding back, because his eyes were red and my mark was burning.

As soon as we entered the room, I locked the door and turned to face them.

- I want to know what's going on, and I want to know now! - I crossed my arms.

They both let out a little sigh.

- Please, sit down. - I ask gently, and they both obey. - Can you start explaining to me why you hate your family?

- Being alpha lupus is very difficult, love. Our family always feared us because of what we did, our real father taught us to be evil, he taught us to be violent, he turned us into monsters. We used to drink and smoke a lot. We had a very bad temper, and because of our strength and rebelliousness, we ended up killing an alpha and were arrested. In jail we met some lupus alphas, thanks to whom we managed to control ourselves better. After we were released, we found out that our father was killed in jail for fighting another alpha lupus. - Tom began.

- I confess that we liked the fear of people, we liked to feel the blood of those we beat, their dread was something fascinating, we were the king of this town. I admit I loved that feeling. And because of us, most of the lupus alphas were arrested or even killed, unlike my brother who can control himself, I'm the opposite, I can't control myself, I always ended up turning into a wolf, I ran the risk of killing some civilians. I've been shot in my wolf form before, and barely escaped because of our regeneration.

- Our father was proud of this, of the barbaric things we did. He even tried to convince us to rape some omegas or betas, but of course we refused, because we would never commit that crime. He was furious at our disobedience and beat us up together with his alpha friends, of course we wanted to fight back, but unfortunately he was our father and we held back. Our mother never stopped what our father did to us, of course we don't blame her, he turned us into monsters.

- That's why our family hates us and is afraid of us, we don't blame them for that. After our father left, we started to change, we didn't want to be like him, we changed our ways, of course I still don't have much control over my anger. But when we're with you, I can control myself.

- Our brothers hate us more than anything in this life, we don't blame them, but we just wanted a chance to show that we're not the boys we used to be. But Kaio always did everything he could to provoke us, if he broke something, he blamed us, the same with Leandra. They should be grateful that that man didn't do the same thing to them. They're afraid of us.

I let out a sigh.

- So why did you bring me here? A place you don't feel comfortable in?

- We wanted you to be able to get to know our family, even if it meant we had to go through something painful.

- Tom, Alex. I love you very much, but I would rather have gone somewhere else than come here and see you suffering like this. It's not your fault, it's that man's fault. He turned you into those monsters, but now you're not and you never will be. That man taught you to do evil, you are the victims. Even if you liked it, this is the result of what that man taught you. I'm glad you've changed.

I wiped my hand across my face.

- You committed a crime and you paid for it, but now you're changing, or rather, you've already changed. What you've been through is the past, what matters now is the present we're in.

They both gave small smiles and I moved closer to them.

- I love you more than anything in this life. You've made mistakes in the past, but now you're making up for them.

They both pulled me into their midst.

- We're very lucky to have you as our omega. - They put their faces to my neck.

- And I'm lucky to have you as my alphas.

- We love you, Aurora.

- And so do I. And I will always love you.

Yes, it doesn't matter what they were in the past, what matters now is the present.
