Chapter 49: ♥ Chapter 49 ♥

Aurora Evans.

08:25 - Miller residence. - The Miller brothers' bedroom - Australia - Victoria.

I woke up to the sound of water falling outside. Without much effort, I managed to open my eyes and see that it was raining very hard. The boys were hugging me so tightly that it was impossible to get out of their arms. I let out a sigh and stayed in bed for a few minutes just watching the rain fall.

I'm still very surprised by this whole situation, I just want them to trust me and tell me what's going on.

With a lot of effort, I finally managed to get out of their arms, and I was surprised they hadn't woken up. They must be very tired. I went to my suitcase and looked for comfortable clothes to wear around other people's houses. I chose a red dress with white polka dots, it came down to my knees. I took a red bra, as well as panties.

I walked towards the bathroom and left my clothes folded on the sink, looking at my reflection.

- I don't have that many dark circles under my eyes. - I wiped my eyes. - I've rested a lot.

I started brushing my teeth without any rush. After I'd finished brushing, I took off my sweater and got under the shower. I started to wash my private parts and did everything I could not to get my hair wet.

Getting your hair wet in this rainy weather is like getting sick.

I turned off the shower and took the towel that was hanging on the rack, dried my body calmly, then got dressed without any worries. I came out of the bathroom to see that they were both still asleep.

'' They are indeed very tired. ''

- Yes. They've been looking after me a lot, they didn't even have time to rest. - I let out a sigh. - I feel guilty.

There's no point crying over spilt milk. Now you have to pay a lot of attention to them, we have to look after our alphas. And it seems that the situation here isn't very good. So focus on them.

I smiled at his order.

- Yes, ma'am.

'' Clown. ''

I went out of the room to take a closer look at the corridor, I saw several photos of your parents together with your siblings, but I didn't see any photos of them.

'' That's really strange.

I went downstairs and found the boys' mother sitting on the sofa. As soon as she saw me, she gave a little smile.

- Good morning, dear. - She got up from the sofa and came towards me.

I was very surprised when she kissed my cheek.

- Did you sleep well? - I was still surprised by her little act.

But then I smiled.

- Good morning, Mrs. Miller. I did, thank you for asking. And you? - She smiled gently.

- You don't have to call me ma'am, dear. You can call me Christina.

- Ah, okay then, Christina.

- Are you hungry?

- Yes. - I answered shyly, making her laugh.

- Come on. - She put her hand on my back and guided me towards the kitchen.

Her kitchen is very large, there's a huge counter, the walls are white, the floor is ceramic wood, just like the living room.

- Make yourself at home, dear.

- You don't want any help in the kitchen, do you?

- No need to worry. You're a guest, and I like to cook.

- Right. - I sat on the stool and rested my hands on the counter, watching her.

- What would you like to eat? - He asked while stirring the pots.

- It could be anything, Christina. Something easy to make that won't be too much work for you.

- That's very kind of you, dear. Then I'll make you some pancakes, I'm sure you'll love them. Everyone in the house likes my pancakes. - I could tell she was very excited.

I smiled gently.

- I'm sure I'll love them. I love pancakes. - Especially the ones my alphas make.

- I'm sure you'll love them, not to brag, but I'm a great cook. - I ended up laughing. - I'm serious.

- I'm not doubting you. - She gave me an ugly look. - Sorry, it's habit.

- You're forgiven.

I smiled.

Seeing how happy she looks gives me the feeling that there's nothing wrong with this family. I'm very curious to ask, but I can't do that with my companions, I promised to wait and that's what I'm going to do. I can't break their trust just because I'm curious about this subject.

I'll wait until they're comfortable to talk.

I went back to paying attention to her, who was cooking with a smile on her face.

- Good morning, darling. - I looked back to see the boys' father entering the kitchen.

He walked over to her and kissed her cheek affectionately.

She looked away from the pan to him.

- Good morning, darling. - The smile she gave him showed how much she loved him.

Because that's how I feel when I see my alphas, I always want to smile at them, I want to kiss them all the time. I want to hold them for twenty-four hours.

He turned to me and gave a small smile.

- Good morning, Aurora.

- Good morning, Mr. Miller. - I greeted him gently.

He looked behind me and then back at me.

- May I ask where they are? - He asked.

I could swear his tone came out a little shaky. I'm getting really scared about all this, what's happened to this family? For God's sake.

- They're still asleep, Mr. Miller. They're both very tired from the trip.

It's actually a lie, they're tired because of me. But he doesn't need to know that.

He nodded and went to sit down on the other side of the counter. Mrs. Miller placed a plate with three pancakes in front of me.

- Enjoy your meal, dear.

- Thank you very much, Mrs... I mean, Christina. - I smiled a little embarrassed.

- I hope you like it.

- I'm sure I'll love it.

I cut off a few pieces and put them in my mouth, the pancake tasting very delicious.

- Wow! This pancake is wonderful, Christina. - I complimented her without being able to stop myself. - It's really good. It makes you want to eat more.

She laughed.

- I didn't say.

But I confess to saying that I prefer my companions' pancakes a thousand times over, but she doesn't need to know that little detail.
