Chapter 68 Plagiarize
Romantic music filled the suite, and Lambert had a bottle of red wine sent over.
Just emerging from the bath, he stood with his robe slightly open, revealing his toned, sexy muscles.
His black hair was tousled, water droplets trailing down from the tips.
Between his slender fingers rested a crystal goblet, the red wine swaying with the movement of his hand, and a hint of wildness gleamed in his eyes.
As Lydia stepped out of the bathroom, she was greeted by this enticing sight, her cheeks instantly flushed with heat.
Lambert’s gaze, seeming to smile mysteriously, locked onto Lydia’s eyes as he raised the glass gently.”
Cheers?”
Lydia nodded, walking over to Lambert and taking a seat beside him. She accepted the glass from his hand, lightly clinking it against his, then drank it all in one go.
A trickle of red wine escaped from Lydia’s lips, flowing down her snow–white, enticing neck to her
collarbone.
Lambert’s eyes deepened as he took a sip and then leaned down to feed Lydia directly from his lips.
The alcohol, mingled with a hint of minty freshness, invaded Lydia’s mouth, setting her ablaze.
Unable to hold the glass steady, it slipped from her hand, spilling wine onto the carpet, but neither of them paid it any mind, consumed by their desire.
They were like two beasts tearing and biting at each other, entangled in a fierce struggle, each wanting to
devour the other.
Lambert’s gaze was intense, his strong hands exploring Lydia’s body, eliciting shivers from her.
A surge of heat rushed to her abdomen, and Lambert felt a throbbing ache throughout his lower body, his desire ready to engulf him, like a blazing fire about to consume him entirely.
Lambert lowered his head, suppressing his inner longing. “Lydia, may I?”
Lydia nodded shyly, burying herself in Lambert’s embrace.
Lambert’s face lit up with joy as he kissed her passionately, but just as his hands began to wander beneath Lydia’s clothes, her phone suddenly rang, the urgent tone casting a shadow over Lambert’s expression.
Lydia couldn’t help but chuckle to herself before planting a kiss on Lambert’s lips and then picking up her phone. “Hello? This is Lydia.”

“Madam, something big has happened!”
Prima sounded frantic on the other end of the line!
They thought the previous model incident was bad enough, but today’s fashion show had been a great
success.
However, just as they were about to leave, they were surrounded by a group of reporters.
The reason? The designs showcased tonight were identical to those from another brand’s event
yesterday!
Lydia’s expression grew increasingly grim. How was that possible? She had personally overseen and crafted every design.
Besides the studio staff, no one else knew about them. How could another obscure brand have used their designs, holding a similar event a day earlier?
Recalling the previous model incident only fueled Lydia’s anger! Who could be behind this?
The slight romantic thoughts she had earlier were completely overshadowed by this distressing news.
Lydia hastily got up to change clothes, but Lambert reached out and grabbed her shoulder. “What’s going
on?”
Feeling extremely aggrieved, Lydia just wanted to focus on her designs.
Could it be that these people were targeting her just because she had recently returned to the country?
She had never mistreated anyone in her work, and the only possibility now was that there was a traitor
in her studio!
“Prima called to say that the designs presented at yesterday’s event were identical to ours, so my fashion
show is suspected of plagiarism!”
Lambert’s eyes deepened as he lowered his gaze in thought. “It seems someone is pulling the strings
behind the scenes.”
“Yes! But I don’t understand. I only held the opening event. Who could it possibly harm? Why can’t these people just leave me alone?”
The more Lydia thought about it, the more aggrieved she felt. Tears welled up in her eyes, and Lambert felt a pang of heartache for her.
“It seems, Lydia, you still don’t fully understand your market value. Once your brand establishes itself in the country, it will take a significant portion of the market share. As long as your competitors aren’t foolish, they will recognize the quality of your designs!”

“But can’t they use less despicable methods?” Her nature was pure, and she had never thought competition could be this ruthless.
With a sigh, Lambert thought to himself that even though Lydia came from a wealthy family, she didn’t understand much about the darker side of the business world.
But with him by her side, she wouldn’t need to deal with those dirty things!
A glint of cold light flashed in Lambert’s eyes.
Anyone who had hurt Lydia wouldn’t be let off easily!
Lydia quickly dressed herself, but Lambert stopped her with a call. “Where are you going?”
“Prima and my employees are still trapped at the TV station. I have to go get them out! And there’s also the company’s matters I need to investigate!”
“Even if you rush over now, it won’t change anything besides adding another person trapped at the TV station. Moreover, regarding this plagiarism incident, you simply don’t have enough evidence.”
Lydia’s face fell. “Then what should I do?”
Lambert pondered for a moment. “The reporters just want fresh news. You’re the one in charge of this event, and they’re waiting for you. As long as you don’t show up, they won’t do anything. As for Prima, she’s just an assistant. Reporters won’t hassle her. Right now, you need to figure out how the people at the event got hold of your design sketches.”
Lydia hesitated for a moment before lifting her head to ask, “Do you believe I didn’t plagiarize?”
Lambert scoffed, “How could my woman do such a thing? Even if someone were to plagiarize, they would go after international big brands. Why bother with a third–rate brand’s designs? It’s laughable! Do these people lack brains?”
Lydia was touched by his words, her eyes shimmering with gratitude. “Thank you for believing in me!”
Lambert pulled her into his embrace. “Since that’s the case, believe in me too. This storm will pass quickly. Rest well tonight, and we’ll face all the difficulties with renewed energy tomorrow!”
Lydia looked into Lambert’s eyes, which were deep and reassuring, filling her with a sense of calm.
Perhaps things weren’t as dire as they seemed.
Lydia nodded slightly, and Lambert embraced her, planting a kiss on her.
However, with all the commotion, neither of them had any thoughts of romance.
Still, that didn’t stop Lambert from teasing Lydia a bit.
Lydia had expected to be kept awake by the troubling events, but as she nestled in Lambert’s arms, she

felt an extraordinary sense of peace and soon drifted off to sleep.
Lambert, on the other hand, was left with nothing but the sweet fragrance of her presence in his arms,
unable to sleep.
Ah, tonight was bound to be a sleepless one!
