Lydia’s eyelashes fluttered lightly like dancing butterflies, the warmth still lingering on her cheeks.
Seeing Lambert’s determined gaze, as if he wouldn’t give up without a kiss, she reluctantly relented.
After all, she couldn’t deny the stirring of her own heart, could she?
Taking the initiative, Lydia leaned in, her cherry lips brushing against Lambert’s sensual jawline.
A fleeting touch, but before she could pull away, Lambert’s large hand firmly held her head in place.
His gentle yet authoritative tongue ventured into Lydia’s mouth, leaving her breathless before releasing her, a low chuckle rumbling from his chest as he rested his head on her shoulder, infecting Lydia with its
vibrations.
She knew Lambert was genuinely happy, and suddenly, many of her worries from before seemed to
dissipate.
Perhaps, even if he left the Halsey household, it wouldn’t be as dismal as she imagined?
Besides, who’s to say who would compromise first in the end? Lydia felt strangely certain about this in
her heart!

The next morning, Lambert was up early. Pushing open the door, he was greeted by a faint fragrance wafting from the kitchen.
In the kitchen, Lydia was plating the breakfast.
Despite tossing and turning all night, perhaps due to the sudden addition of a man in the house, she couldn’t seem to fall asleep until the early hours of the morning.
Lost in her thoughts, she felt her waist being embraced, a warm breath tickling her ear, causing her heartbeat to quicken once again, even her movements paused!
“Good morning!” Lambert’s voice, deep and lazy from just waking up, was incredibly sexy.
Lydia turned around, and Lambert naturally kissed the corner of her lips. Blushing, Lydia lightly kicked his foot. “Hey! Don’t be so naughty first thing in the morning!”
“Only for you!” Lambert replied nonchalantly, causing Lydia’s heart to race even faster.
“Aren’t you going to wake up our son? He might be late!”
“Don’t worry, I’ll go soon! But today, you belong to me!”
Lydia was taken aback. “What do you mean?”

Lambert raised an eyebrow, and Lydia suddenly remembered their childish competition agreement with Wythe from yesterday. She lifted her chin defiantly. “I didn’t agree to that! Besides, I have to go to the company today. We have an important client coming!”
“So, in your mind, I’m not as important as your client.”
His lazy voice carried a hint of grievance, incredibly sexy yet sour at the same time. Lydia couldn’t help but chuckle, teasingly saying, “Since when did you become so lacking in confidence?”
Lambert snorted, intertwining their fingers. “Regardless! You’re mine today!”
Lydia’s heart pounded, her face almost as red as if it would drip blood. “What?”
“We’re sleeping together tonight!”
Boom! Lydia’s mind went blank for a moment. Wasn’t it what she thought it meant?
“Dad, Mom! You’re so sneaky, discussing things secretly without telling me! I don’t care, tonight I’m sleeping with you guys too!”
Wythe’s voice, still a bit grumpy from waking up, interrupted the romantic atmosphere in the kitchen. Lydia gave Lambert a slightly embarrassed glare before carrying the plates out.
Despite Lydia not immediately agreeing, Lambert was in a good mood. After a cozy breakfast, as per Lydia’s arrangement, Lambert personally took their son to school.

Meanwhile, Lydia arrived early at the office, instructing her assistant to prepare for the meeting with the
upcoming important client.
This was their studio’s first project after returning to the country, and the basic details had been discussed. They were now awaiting the final approval from the client’s CEO, who was coming to their studio for the last inspection.
At three past nine, Lydia’s office phone rang. Soon, her assistant, Prima’s voice came through.
“Director, the team from Sanctity Apparel Corporation has arrived. They’re being escorted to the meeting
room by the front desk.”
“Alright, I’ll be there shortly!” Lydia stood up, straightened her attire, and picked up the design drafts on
her desk.
Two minutes later, she pushed open the door to the meeting room. It was filled with people, including her company’s executives, SAC’s representatives, and a familiar face that surprised her.
With a brightening gaze, Lydia instinctively spoke, “Andrew, what are you doing here?”

Andrew smiled gently, his surprise turning into delight. He pointed to the name tag on the table, and
Lydia finally noticed the title: CEO of SAC.
