Chapter 68 Chapter Sixty-Eight
The sky lights up with an array of pinks, oranges and purples as the sun slowly makes it's way up into the sky. "Wow." I say looking at all the beautiful colors.
"What do you think?" Logan asks and I can hear the excitement in his voice.
"You were right. It is absolutely incredible." I say in aww of the beauty.
We stay there watching until the sun comes all the way up. "I guess we should probably head back." Logan says, as he gets ready to stand up.
"Wait." I say as I grab his arm, making him turn towards me. He looks at me confused.
I give him a flirtatious smile and lean in close, wrapping my arm around his neck. I close my eyes and kiss him. I kiss him like I am never going to get the chance to kiss him again.
I let him feel everything I'm feeling through our kiss. All the happiness and joy he has made me feel. How thankful I am to have him in my life. Everything. We kiss until neither of us can catch our breath.
Pulling away panting Logan gives me a cute boyish grin. "What was that for baby?"
"For everything. Tonight was amazing thanks to you."
Logan gives me another soft peck on the lips. "Anytime baby."
With that he stands up, giving me his hand to help me stand up. We gather the blankets and he intertwines his fingers in mine, leading us back down the path to where he parked his SUV.
The walk seems shorter in the daylight. Maybe because I can actually see where I'm going and if there is anything creeping around in the woods. Or maybe it's just because I really don't want my time with Logan to be over.
We make it back to the clearing and Logan opens my door for me, helping me climb in. I feel my phone buzzing and I realize I left my phone in here. I was having so much fun I didn't even realize I didn't have my phone out there with me.
I look at my phone. Twenty-seven missed calls and thirty texts from Reece, Raikin and Ryder. Oh my God. They are definitely going to be mad at me now.
"Everything okay?" Logan asks when he pulls back onto the gravel road.
"Umm yeah. It's just the guys wondering where I'm at." I say trying to sound less worried than I currently feel. This is not going to be good.
"You didn't tell them you were hanging out with me?" Logan asks and I can't tell if he's mad.
"No. We had all said goodnight and went to bed already, and I didn't know we were going to be out all night."
Logan chuckles. "Sorry about that last part."
"Don't be. I had lots of fun, I wouldn't change it for anything. In fact I can't wait to do it again."
Logan glances at me, and smiles before turning his attention back to the road. "I can't wait either." He says, putting his hand on my thigh.
I put my hand over the top of his and decide it will be better to talk to the guys in person instead of over text. Especially since they are probably going to be really mad when they find out where I was and who I was with.
I just hope they aren't to mad at me. I didn't break their rule. I may have got close to breaking the rule but I didn't actually break it. We didn't have sex. So they can't be mad about that.
The drive back to his house seems extremely short. I think my nerves are getting the best of me. When we pull into his driveway Logan looks over at me. "Do you want me to walk you over to your house baby?"
"No. It's okay. Thank you for the amazing night." I say leaning over to hug him.
"You're welcome baby. Thank you for saying yes to hanging out."
"Of course." I say pulling away from him.
Logan grabs my chin, turning me back to face him. "Bye baby." He says, as he leans in to kiss me one last time.
"Bye Logan. You can text me later okay."
"Okay baby."
We get out and Logan watches as I walk across my yard to my house. I wave before stepping inside. The second I step inside I just about scream. There is Ryder standing there just a few feet from the front door with his arms crossed over his chest. I should be used to him doing that to me by now but I'm just to jumpy.
I slap my hand over my chest. "You scared the shit out of me."
Ryder doesn't laugh or smile like he normally does when he accidentally scares me. "Did you have fun with Logan?"
How did he know I was with Logan? Was he watching out the window? "How did you know I was with Logan?" I ask looking around to see if Reece and Raikin are around.
"I didn't for sure. I just heard Logan's car drive by and I assumed you were with him so I was waiting to see if I was right. Clearly I was." Ryder sounds more serious than I have ever heard him. He is usually joking or playing around all the time. Never serious not like this.
"We were just hanging out. Don't be mad."
Ryder let's his arms fall to his side. "I'm not mad baby." He walks over to me and puts his hand on my shoulders. "I was worried about you. I assumed you were with Logan but I didn't know for sure and you weren't answering any of us."
"I'm sorry. I accidentally left my phone in his car. I didn't see any of the missed calls or messages until we were headed home a few minutes ago." I say putting my hands on his waist.
"Where did you guys even go and what time did you leave? I went to your room around two in the morning, I felt bad for just leaving you and I couldn't sleep. You weren't there though." Ryder asks pulling me against him.
"Logan texted me around midnight, I wasn't going to go but, well nevermind." I say pressing my head into his chest.
"But what babe?"
I sigh into his chest. "I don't know. I was just upset. Last night was my first time sleeping with someone besides you, and I was feeling pretty emotional. Then you didn't stay in my room with me and I don't know I just didn't want to be alone." I whisper against him, so quietly I'm not even sure if he can hear me.
