Chapter 150 Chapter One Hundred and Fifty
"You will see baby." Is all he says before getting out of the car and coming around to my side of the car to open my door for me.
I get out and he takes my hand in his. I look around again, but I still don't see anything. "So, where are we?" I ask, smiling up at him.
Ryder smiles. "We are at a lake baby. It's called Blanchard Lake."
I narrow my eyes and laugh. "Haha, you knew what I meant."
Ryder kisses the top of my head, laughing. "Come with me baby. You will see exactly where we are and what we are doing."
I lean into his side, and smile as he leads us to wherever we are going. There is a small sidewalk with a few streetlights lighting the path. We walk for a few minutes, just talking and then I see it or at least I think I see it.
"Is that for us?" I ask, pointing to a pontoon style boat, floating next to the dock.
Ryder gives me a big smile and asks. "Have you ever been on a boat before?"
My eyes widen for a split second and I shake my head. "No, I haven't actually. I have always wanted to go out on one though." I say, looking at the boat.
"Tonight's the night baby. By the way I'm glad you are giving me another one of your firsts." He winks and I feel myself blush.
"Me too. I hope we get to have a whole lot more firsts together."
Ryder smiles and leads me to the dock. "Since we are so close to a full moon and it's such a pretty night I wanted us to have a moonlit picnic and maybe a cruise around the lake baby. It will just be me and you tonight. Dallas is going to be driving the boat for us. He won't bother us though."
"That sounds perfect and very romantic." I lean up on my toes and kiss him.
Ryder shrugs. "I try."
Ryder walks us to the edge of the dock and steps over onto the boat, giving me his hand so I can get on the boat with him.
My eyes widen in surprise. There are some flameless candles placed randomly. There are pillows, blankets, and a picnic basket. A legit picnic basket, with a checkered blanket and everything. He just can't be any sweeter.
"You did all of this?" I ask looking around. "For me?"
Ryder gives me a shy smile. "Yeah. I wanted our date to be special."
I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling myself tight against him. "This is very special. Thank you Ryder."
When I pull back, Ryder is smiling at me. "I'm glad, would you like to see what I brought for our date?"
I bite my bottom lip, nodding my head. "Yes, please."
Ryder leads me to the deck area where the blankets and pillows are layed out. He sits down first and I sit down next to him. "It's probably going to get a little chilly out here especially on the water. So I brought us a blanket." Ryder grabs one of the blankets and covers both of our laps with it."
I snuggle into him and whisper. "Thank you."
About a minute after we get all settled in the boat starts moving at a very slow speed. The further away from the dock we get the brighter the moon seems, making this whole thing even more romantic.
Ryder grabs the picnic basket and flips open the lid. I watch as he pulls out all sorts of stuff. If it wasn't so sweet I would laugh. I think he was trying to do it romantic movie style. Chocolate covered strawberries, grapes, finger sandwiches, even a small cheesecake.
Ryder looks over at me and chuckles a little. "Since I'm not exactly old enough to buy wine or champagne, and I'm not even sure if you like those things, I figured I would just bring your favorite soda to drink. I hope that's okay."
"It's more than okay. It's perfect and this is all so sweet. I love it." I give him a kiss on the cheek.
Ryder gives me a big smile, and grabs one of the chocolate covered strawberries. He holds it up to my mouth and I open just enough for him to put the strawberry in my mouth, taking a small bite. Juice squirts down my chin and I start laughing.
Ryder laughs and grabs a napkin, wiping the juice off for me. "Thank you." I tell him through the laughter after I finish chewing.
"You're welcome baby. I was seriously considering just licking the juice off of you, but I didn't want to gross you out."
I laugh shaking my head. "Nothing you do could gross me out. I love you too much to be grossed out by anything you do."
Ryder smirks. "I think you would enjoy it."
I lift my eyebrows suggestively, smiling. "Oh, I definitely would. Probably to much."
