Chapter 45 Mission Accomplished
Chapter 45 Mission Accomplished
Chapter 45
Alex's POV
FLASHBACK BEGINS
"So, you mean Julian is coming today?" Victoria asked on the phone, her voice carrying a weight of urgency. "I don't want false information, Marcus. If I find out it's false, you know what I can do."
"Okay...you don't have to worry about why I want to know when he will be back," she continued, her gaze fixed on me. I could feel the tension in the air as I watched her. "So, you booked his flight for eleven today?" She glanced at her wristwatch. "Then he should be getting ready to land in an hour, right?"
"Okay," she said, disconnecting the call and turning to me with a determined expression. "Julian will be landing in an hour."
"Shall I get started?" I asked, standing up to move closer to her.
"Yeah, good luck. Jenkins will be there to help you," she said, pecking me on the cheek, making me blush. "I trust you."
"Okay," I replied, pulling her into a hug. "I will be back soon."
I stepped back from the hug, grabbed my jacket, and left the house. Despite everything, I was determined to keep enjoying my time with Victoria even after claiming Sophie.
I hailed a taxi to Julian's mansion. Upon arriving, Jenkins was waiting at the door instead of the usual gatekeeper. Victoria had shown me his picture, so recognizing him was easy.
He led me inside the house. "Mrs. Blackwood isn't around now, but she should be back soon. I sent the gatekeeper on an errand and he will get back probably in two hours. I've prepared the juice. Victoria already told me what to do."
I nodded and took a seat on the sofa, waiting for Sophie to arrive.
FLASHBACK ENDS
I lifted Sophie off the couch and turned to Jenkins, who nodded that the coast was clear. He led the way upstairs while I followed closely behind.
"This is Mr. Blackwood's room, and this is her room," he said, pointing to two different doors beside each other.
"Let's use her room," I suggested as he opened the door.
The room was spacious, much larger than mine, with elegant decor and soft lighting. The walls were painted in a soothing shade of lavender, and a plush rug covered the hardwood floor. A large bed dominated the room, draped with delicate linens that invited relaxation.
"You can go now. Julian will be back anytime," I said, and he nodded and left, closing the door behind him.
I lay Sophie carefully on the bed, pulled off her heels and every other thing she was wearing. I gasped at her body, but I tried to control myself; I didn't have enough time before Julian came back. I pulled off all my clothes, leaving me in my boxers.
I lay down beside her on the bed, turning her to face me, and pulled the bed cover over us.
After what felt like an eternity, I heard Julian's voice in the hallway. "Sophie! Sophie!! Sophie!!! Where are you?"
I heard him open the door to the room next to hers, then close it, and finally, he opened the door to this room. I pretended to be asleep.
"Sophie!" he called out, but Sophie was still fast asleep.
He moved closer to the bed and called her name again, louder than the first. Sophie woke up hurriedly, looking around for the source of the voice.
"Baby, what's wrong?" I said, feigning sleep as I looked toward Sophie, who realized she was naked and tried to cover herself.
"What's happening here?" Julian said. I turned to Julian, pretending I just noticed him.
"Julian, you are back...What am I doing here? Julian I swear I can explain... It's not what you think," Sophie stammered, leaning closer to Julian to hold him, but he moved back and she fell down with a thud.
Julian left the room without turning back.
"Are you okay?" I asked, moving closer to her to pick her up, but she yanked my hand away.
"What did you do, Alex... why am I naked?" she said, tears streaming down her cheeks as she hurriedly picked up her dress and put it on.
I smiled knowingly; this was the plan all along. Now, Victoria could have Julian, and I could have Sophie. I picked up my trousers and shirt, put them on, and texted Victoria. "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED."
I headed downstairs, where Sophie was on her knees in front of Julian.
"I thought you were different, Sophie. I thought you actually loved me as you claimed. But you were also cheating," Julian said, his voice trembling with a mix of hurt and anger.
"I was tricked, Julian. I didn't know how I got in bed with him... I was right here... right here, Julian," Sophie pleaded, more tears streaming down her face. She turned to me. "Alex, tell him the truth. Tell him that I know nothing about how I got to the room. Tell him you..."
"Why are you lying, Sophie?" I said, cutting her off. "We made up already, Sophie. Have you forgotten how we kiss? How we do..."
"Shut up, Alex! Julian, he's lying. You know I would never do something like that. He planned it with Victoria, they..." Sophie protested.
"Enough!" Julian barked. "If you say he's lying, how will you explain this?" He dropped some pictures on the table. "You obviously didn't know I was coming today, that's why you brought him to my house! I know it's a contract, but what's this? This is against the contract."
"Contract?" I muttered, piecing it together. "As in contract marriage?"
No wonder—I'd been wondering why their marriage was so sudden, but it was a contract marriage all along.
"This was edited, Julian," she said, examining the pictures. "And here I was pushing him away when he kissed me forcefully, and here..."
"I don't want to hear anything again. Go upstairs and pack all your luggage and leave my house," Julian commanded, his voice cold.
"Julian, please..." she said, pulling at his trousers.
I moved closer to her. "Let's go, baby. You already said he doesn't treat you right."
"Don't baby me, Alex!" she shouted, her voice echoing through the room. "I hate you, I hate you, and I will never love you. Get that into your skull."
"Sophie, I don't want to do what I will regret. Go into the room now and pack all your stuff, and get the fuck out of my house with your boyfriend. Now!" Julian said, and he stormed out, slamming the door behind him.
Sophie stood up from where she had been kneeling and walked toward me as I took a step back.
"So, tell me, what did you gain from this?" she demanded, her eyes burning with anger behind the tears.
"I gained YOU," I said, a smirk creeping onto my face.
Sophie's eyes widened in disbelief, and she slapped me hard across the face. I didn't flinch, enjoying the sting of her anger.
"You're a monster, Alex," she spat, her voice venomous. "You and Victoria planned this together, didn't you? You used me to help her get Julian."
I chuckled, rubbing my cheek where she had slapped me. "You're so smart, Sophie. Yes, we did plan it together. And it worked out perfectly."
Sophie's face twisted in rage, and she launched herself at me, but I caught her by the wrists, holding her back. "You're not going to hurt me, Sophie. You're going to pack your bags and leave with me. We're going to start our new life together."
Sophie struggled against my grip, but I held firm. "You'll never have me, Alex," she snarled. "I'll never love you."
I smiled, my eyes glinting with triumph. "Oh, but you will, Sophie. You'll learn to love me, and you'll forget all about Julian."
As I held her captive, I felt nothing but satisfaction. I had played the game, and I had won. Sophie was mine now, and nothing would ever take her away from me again...Not again!
