Chapter53
Jeremiah didn’t know what he was doing, and for a moment he didn’t pick up.
Just when Stephanie thought no one would pick up, someone answered on the other end.
“Serena.” Jeremiah’s voice came, “What’s up?”
This was the deal: whenever she put on this mask, people would only call her “Serena.”
Stephanie calmly looked at the livestream screen in front of her and said, “You can send the lawyer’s letter now.”
After “A Glimmer of Love” officially went online, this lawyer’s letter could be sent out at any time.
After all, what was sold was just the right to use the song. Now there wasn’t even a credit, that was really going too far.
“Hehe.” Jeremiah’s slightly sly laugh came from over there, “Great minds think alike, I was getting ready.”
“But.” Stephanie lowered her eyes a lit… and said, “Send it to her personally, don’t put it online.”
“What were you thinking about?” Jeremiah asked.
“A lawyer’s letter was for warning and informing,” Stephanie said calmly. “That was the process.”
Jeremiah smiled, “I got it.”

Smart people got it right away.
Jeremiah did have a bad temper, but in the Conway family where the infighting was so serious, he managed to grab Conway Entertainment for himself even though his two older brothers had become adults years before him, so he was never a fool.
Both Jeremiah and Stephanie knew that right now Roxanne had the “get out of death free” card.
They made a public statement at that time, saying that even when they were fighting for their own legal rights, they would still be seen as the weaker side in public opinion.
A lot of people felt sorry for the weak and said, Roxanne was dying, and Conway Entertainment was just trying to get attention.
Conway Entertainment ate people’s blood–soaked buns.
Public opinion about listed companies was always important and had a big impact on stock prices.
Not to mention, above Conway Entertainment, there was also the Conway Group.
They just had to wait, wait for the right moment, and strike with one shot.
But couldn’t just do nothing.
Sending a lawyer’s letter to the designated email was just one part of the timeline and evidence chain.
Leave a trace.
It was very important.

She didn’t know what Roxanne’s purpose was for doing all this, but
she, Stephanie, was never someone who just sat around and waited for things to happen!
Chatted a bit more, Stephanie put down her phone.
She had just put down her phone, and it buzzed again.
Stephanie looked at the note above that said “Maxwell’s grandpa,” her lips pressed together.
These past few days, the two old people had already contacted her many times, but she didn’t pick up.
She didn’t know how to face them.
Especially Leonard Humphrey, who was already in poor health. She married Maxwell before just to bring some lively and happy vibes to Leonard, who was seriously ill.
Let’s just put it off for now.
Thinking about it, Stephanie hung up the phone again.
“Knock knock knock…”
The door of the lounge was knocked on, and á staff member urged, “Ms. Serena, all the contestants have finished singing. It’s time to go on stage for the team selection.”
“Okay, thanks,” Stephanie replied.
Just as she was about to get up, her phone vibrated again.
It was just that this time was different.
The card she got the message on was a different one.

She glanced at the messages above, looking thoughtful.
“Serena?” Katrina next to her said, “What’s wrong?”
“It’s fine.” Stephanie snapped out of it, then stood up. “Let’s go.”
She walked onto the stage with Katrina’s help.

The other side.
The Humphrey Building, top floor.
When Maxwell first got here, he felt something was off. All the staff in the secretary’s office kept their heads down and didn’t say a word.
Edgar pushed open the CEO’s office door. Maxwell had just walked in, and a cane came at him right away.
Maxwell instinctively avoided it.
“You still dared to hide!”
An angry, familiar voice came. Maxwell looked up and saw Leonard standing in front of him.
“Grandpa.”
Seeing Leonard unsteady on his feet, Maxwell stepped up to help.
Leonard took the chance and hit Maxwell on the arm with a stick.
“You still knew I was your grandpa.” Leonard was so mad his chest kept heaving, and he pointed at Maxwell, cursing, “I, Leonard, didn’t have a grandson like you!”
“Weren’t you going to see that woman called Roxanne’s show? Why

did you come back!”
Leonard was talking and pointed at the screen on the side.
Maxwell took a look. “The Ethereal Voice” was streaming on the screen, and it was the part where they picked the judges‘ teams.
Roxanne was inviting teammates to join her team.
