Chapter220
Stephanie watched them horse around, closed the door, sat down on the couch, and let out a long sigh of relief.
“It was really rare to relax today,” Stephanie said, taking another sip.
The thing I’d been holding onto in my heart was finally let go, so I guess I temporarily forgot some worries.
Jeremiah smiled and nodded, sitting next to her: “I thought the same, but today was just for now. After “The Ethereal Voice‘ finals, we’ll take Belinda out and have some real fun together.”
Stephanie nodded, saying this idea was pretty good.
But I had to finish Belinda’s surgery and take care of her first before going.
But today, she didn’t want to think about these things for now.
She put all her worries aside for now. Tonight, what she wanted was to be happy.
“Go bounce.” Stephanie said.
Jeremiah nodded and smiled, “Sure.”
The two of them went down to the dance floor.
There were a lot of people here, packed together, and under the dim lights, everyone danced like crazy.
Around the dance floor, there were some booths. At that moment, someone looked at the people in the dance floor, and the drink in his

mouth went “pft” as he spit it out.
“Hey, what are you doing!” the people nearby all shouted.
“Look, who was that?” The person pointed at Stephanie, who laughing and jumping, and said, “Wasn’t that Maxwell’s wife, Stephanie?”
Everyone got interested at once.

Everyone looked in the direction he pointed, and sure enough, it was Stephanie.
“Maxwell and Stephanie, that couple really played wild!” someone said.
“Totally. Maxwell and Roxanne had a candlelight dinner, Stephanie went clubbing at Pulse Nightclub! Is that Jeremiah over there?” the other person gossiped.
“Seems like it really was!”
The enthusiasm of onlookers was endless.
At this moment, Maxwell’s car just stopped downstairs at Roxanne’s place.
He planned to go find Wesley after he took Roxanne home.
But Roxanne didn’t get out right away.
“Max.” Roxanne called out a little shyly.
Maxwell looked at her.
“Do you want to come over to my place?” Roxanne said, blushing and looking hopeful. “You and her already broke up, so we…”
Everyone was an adult, and Maxwell knew what Roxanne meant.
But he really didn’t feel like it right now.
He just got divorced, he didn’t have that much on his mind.
Right now, he just wanted to rest. He didn’t want to think about anything else.
Thinking like this, he suddenly felt glad that he had agreed to go to Pulse Nightclub with Wesley earlier today.
Thinking about it, Maxwell said, “I promised Wesley I’d go find him. You’re not feeling well, so go back and rest first.”
Roxanne looked at Maxwell, pouted, and said, “Max… were you really not making excuses? Or did you still have Stephanie in your heart?”
Her eyes were wet, and she said. “If you don’t want to be with me, then go find her. I think she’s still willing to be with you.”
Maxwell let out a long sigh, and he reached out to gently stroke Roxanne’s hair.
“Roxie, I was already divorced, that was my decision and action.”
Maxwell looked at Roxanne, who was crying sadly. Helpless, he took out his phone and showed Roxanne the message Wesley had sent him before.
“Let me get used to it for a while, okay?” Maxwell said, trying to comfort, “I think I needed some time.”
Roxanne looked really guilty after she saw Wesley’s message.
“Sorry,” Roxanne said softly, “I thought…”

“Alright, go get some rest.” Maxwell squeezed Roxanne’s hand again and said softly.
Roxanne finally nodded.
She opened the car door and got out, stood by the door, and said seriously, “Max. I will always wait for you.”
Her eyes were a little red, and she went on, “Until I can’t wait anymore.”
Maxwell paused for a moment and didn’t answer. He just said, “Let’s go back.”
Roxanne nodded, then walked back into the building.
Behind her, after Maxwell saw her walk into the building, he backed up and left.
About two seconds later, Roxanne came out again. The pitiful look she had just now was already gone.
She watched Maxwell drive away in the Aston Martin, all the hate in her eyes.
She saw Maxwell’s hesitation, she hated.
Was he still not over Stephanie?
She had to figure out a way to really become Maxwell’s woman as soon as possible, and also get pregnant with his baby.
Otherwise, a lot of things would have been more troublesome.

When Stephanie and Jeremiah were on the dance floor, Wesley just sat in the booth, bored.
He took out his phone and found the chat with Maria.
